Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 611: Chapter 609: Sirius Was Taken Away?

Kael somewhat understood why Sirius was so popular at Hogwarts.

For the students in the castle, dueling, which allows more free play and interaction, is obviously more popular than sitting there taking notes.

Likewise, this also maximizes Sirius’ advantages.

His teaching ability is average, but his strength and combat experience are pretty good.

Among all the sixth-year students, besides Kael, only five could get him to step off the platform.

As for the majority of others, although they shouted loudly, they only had a few moves back and forth and did not know how to adapt, a simple Iron Armor Spell could make Sirius invincible.

But even though they didn’t earn any points, everyone still showed a very happy expression after class.

”Not bad at all, I like Professor Black, his class is more interesting than Professor Moody’s.”

Mikel said, ”There are no more classes after this, where do you plan to go, want to play a couple of rounds of Wizard Chess?”

”I’m afraid not.” Kael shook his head, ”I have to go to the advanced Transfiguration class.”

”Oh, right.” Mikel suddenly came to a realization, ”If it’s you, you can definitely meet the requirements...”

After entering the sixth year, the biggest change is that the schedule is different from before.

The courses on it are divided into two types, one is the same normal course as before, and the other is the advanced classes, or the so-called N.E.W.T. classes.

This advanced class is held only once a week for each course, but you must achieve the required O.W.L.s scores, similar to the professors’ clubs.

Kael and Conna came to the hallway outside and found that only ten students came for Professor McGonagall’s advanced class.

Hufflepuff only had him and Conna, and the other students did not meet Professor McGonagall’s requirements. Among the three Ravenclaw students, they saw Cho, and there were three Slytherin and two Gryffindor students.

”Isn’t this number a bit too small?” In the vast classroom, Cho whispered, ”This is the first time I’ve felt the Transfiguration Classroom so empty.”

”There’s no way around it.” Kael shrugged, ”Professor McGonagall’s requirements are the strictest, according to Cedric, the number last term wasn’t much either.”

”I wonder what Professor McGonagall will teach us.” Cho said with some anticipation.

But she soon found out.

Human Transfiguration... isn’t the most difficult, but it is the most dangerous class.

Because this form of Transfiguration is to be performed on oneself, if the spell fails, or if any mistakes occur, it’s not a matter of simply trying again, but being sent directly to the Hospital Wing.

”Since you all are the top students in Transfiguration, I have an additional requirement...”

Professor McGonagall stood in the middle of everyone, calmly saying: ”Do not make a sound, try to recite the spell in your minds, this will determine whether you can successfully obtain the N.E.W.T. certificate.”

Everyone nodded together.

In fact, Professor Flitwick had mentioned this as early as the Charm Class yesterday, and not just in the advanced classes, everyone would eventually have to do it this way, but they would start later, probably about a month after the school year began.

For most, the sixth year is definitely much easier than the fifth year, but for those who want to get more N.E.W.T. certificates, the fifth year is just the beginning, and it will only get busier afterward.

As it was the first class, Professor McGonagall didn’t assign any difficult tasks, she just asked everyone to turn their hand into a small cactus.

Compared to animal Transfiguration, plant Transfiguration is certainly easier, and by the end of the class, everyone had completed it.

Everyone had a cactus on their arms, varying in size and shape, which looked quite interesting.

A Ravenclaw girl even took the initiative to add a bit of difficulty, placing a beautiful Golden Silk Ball Orchid on her cactus.

However, her behavior didn’t earn any points from Professor McGonagall, as the reason was that a cactus couldn’t produce a Golden Silk Ball Orchid.

By the end of the class, Conna was left behind.

Kael waited outside for a few minutes before she came out with Professor McGonagall.

”It’s settled, the time is Tuesday and Friday evenings at six.” Professor McGonagall said, then she looked at Kael, ”Remember, you must find the classroom location yourself, it’s our tradition and a test.”

”I understand.” Conna said.

”What did she say to you?” Kael asked curiously after Professor McGonagall left.

”She invited me to join the Transfiguration Club.” Conna said with a smile, her tone a bit excited.

She knew that Professor McGonagall’s Transfiguration Club was hard to get into, only a dozen people in the whole school, with Kael being one of them.

But Kael joined when he was in the third year, being among the earliest batch.

”I’d say, Professor McGonagall should have invited you three years ago.” Kael said happily, ”Need me to secretly tell you the location of the classroom entrance? That place isn’t easy to find.”

”Absolutely not.” Conna shook her head quickly, ”You heard too, McGonagall said it’s a test, I don’t want to cheat.”

”If it really doesn’t work...” Conna paused and then continued, ”It just means I’m not qualified to join you yet.”

”That’s not going to happen...” Kael said with a smile, ”You can definitely find the entrance.”

Conna smiled too, but it was clear she was still a bit nervous.

”Is the Transfiguration Club like the advanced class, too?” On the way to the Auditorium, Conna couldn’t help asking, ”Do you gather every week to learn more advanced content ahead, or discuss some casting techniques?”

”There are also such situations.”

Kael thought for a moment and said: ”Because there’s no age limit in the club, I got in touch with Human Transfiguration when I was in the fourth year.

”But more often, the club discusses the extended application of Transfiguration, such as multiple transformations on an object, and partial transformations which aren’t in the textbooks.”

”Is that so?” Conna nodded, ”It’s completely different from the Potion Club.”

”What’s the Potions Class Club like?” Kael asked.

He hadn’t joined the Potions Class Club, nor did Snape have any intention of inviting him.

”The Potions Class Club huh.” Conna said, ”Professor Snape teaches us some special, bookless methods of handling potion materials, which are simpler and more convenient.

”Besides that, he also teaches us how to brew some more difficult potions, approximately two years higher than the normal course level.

”Isn’t there an advanced Potion Class on your schedule? You should find out then... I remember some senior students mentioned it; they said the club’s content is similar to the advanced class.”

”Oh?” Kael raised an eyebrow.

Your schedule actually has the advanced potion class, and it’s next Monday.

Kael originally thought that Snape would use his failure to participate in the O.W.L.s as a reason to refuse him access.

But if it’s just about handling potion materials, there doesn’t seem to be a need for him to attend the advanced class, as he has known those for a long time, and they were also taught by Snape... just in a different manner.

Speaking, the two arrived and sat down near the Hufflepuff table in the Auditorium, ready to have lunch.

However, at this moment, Kael accidentally overheard several fifth-year students next to them talking.

”What do you think, why did the Ministry of Magic take away Professor Black...”

”I heard it’s because someone got injured in his class.”

”But didn’t he already warn us? And why didn’t the Ministry of Magic come last year.”

”I don’t know either.”
