Unrivaled Miracle Doctor: The God-Defying Demonic Consort

Chapter 788: Chapter 223: Princess Unwilling to Bear an Heir? (Second Update)

Si Mo’s change in expression, Mu Qingge did not react to.

However, when she did react, she found herself already lifted and held in Si Mo’s arms. Her feet landed on his shoes, standing on tiptoes. His large hands directly controlled her nape and waist.

Si Mo recklessly lowered his head, capturing those lips that had been tempting him endlessly.

”Mmm...” Mu Qingge opened her eyes wide suddenly, looking at Si Mo in disbelief.

She didn’t expect this man to treat her this way in front of so many people. What the heck! It’s utterly embarrassing, isn’t it?

The surrounding Demon Guards, as soon as their lord started to act, tactfully closed their eyes, further lowering their presence, wishing they could shrink to dust and be blown away by the wind.

This scene between Your Majesty and the Princess is absolutely forbidden for them to watch!

Si Mo was like a child greedy for sweets, finally tasting the honey he longed for. After quite a while, he released Mu Qingge, satisfied.

Mu Qingge’s feet returned to the ground, and the swollen feeling on her lips made her cheeks quickly redden, her clear eyes shining with a water-like brilliance.

This charm made Si Mo stir restlessly.

His head unconsciously leaned in again, Mu Qingge quickly raised a hand to guard her lips. She found that this man, after losing his memories about her, had grown bolder!

When they were together before, he was always very careful with her, meticulously protective, and very considerate of her feelings.

And now?

He just does whatever he wants, without restraint!

Her lips healed almost instantly thanks to her extraordinary healing ability. Mu Qingge lowered her hand from her lips, but Si Mo caught sight of it, his eyebrows lifted, and his amber eyes showed a playful glint.

It seemed he thought of something very interesting.

”Little Ge’er, what else can you do besides Alchemy?” Suddenly, Si Mo asked, looking at her with interest.

Mu Qingge felt a hint of helplessness rising in her heart. The things he once knew have now become unknown secrets to Si Mo.

”I also can do Artifact Refining.” Mu Qingge replied.

She didn’t know if Si Mo’s sealed memories could ever be restored, nor did she know when he might remember their past. But none of that mattered; what mattered was that he still harbored affection for her.

He didn’t become indifferent to her because of the lost memories.

This realization already filled her with joy.

”Able to do Alchemy and Artifact Refining? My little Ge’er is indeed amazing!” Si Mo smiled.

Lingling, hiding behind the wooden house, covered her mouth in amazement. It was her first time seeing Si Mo smile. ’So, he looks so good when he smiles.’

Her eyes showed a trace of daze but quickly cleared up. Whispering to herself, she said: ”She truly is different to him!”

Concealing the dimness in her eyes, Lingling quietly left from behind the wooden house.

”Tell me about the things that happened between us.” Si Mo requested.

”Alright!” Mu Qingge nodded. ”But now is not the time. We need to leave the Insect Abyss and return to Taixuan Ancient Palace.”

She worried that if they delayed any further, Si Mo’s condition would become increasingly uncontrollable.

Looking at the man standing calmly in front of her, a smile at the corner of his mouth, Mu Qingge suddenly realized how adept he was at hiding his suffering.

If she weren’t a Pill Master and didn’t understand healing techniques, she probably wouldn’t have realized that he was enduring unimaginable pain every moment.

”Hmm, it’s time to go back.” Si Mo nodded lightly, a vicious glint flashing through his amber eyes.

No need to ask; he knew what would have happened in Taixuan Ancient Palace during his absence.

”Your Majesty! Princess!”

At this point, Gu Ya and Gu Ye came over to them.

”Everything has been arranged.” Gu Ye said.

They had already bid farewell to the leader of this tribe, ready to leave at any moment.

”Let’s go.” Si Mo nodded, holding Mu Qingge’s hand while walking out. He had no intention of personally thanking anyone, as he knew Gu Ya and Gu Ye would handle everything well, without needing his intervention.

Si Mo’s carefree departure left Lingling slightly disappointed.

In the tribe, watching Si Mo’s departing figure, she murmured: ”After all, I was the one who saved you, couldn’t you at least say goodbye before leaving?”

Her grandfather came to her side and said: ”See clearly? You are not the same kind. Don’t desire what’s not meant for you, and you’ll be happy.”

Lingling nodded, withdrawing her gaze from Si Mo, and said to the elder: ”I understand, Grandpa.”

...

Leaving the Insect Clan’s tribe, the Demon Guards protected Si Mo and Mu Qingge, walking through the Insect Abyss.

They headed toward the entrance of the Insect Abyss, trying to avoid passing through the territory of some tribes along the way to prevent misunderstandings.

By the time they left that small Insect Clan settlement, the sky was already growing dark. When night fully draped the sky, Gu Ya and Gu Ye found a cave for temporary rest.

The Demon Guards quickly patrolled the surroundings, setting up sentries and keeping watch all around.

Inside the cave, Mu Qingge was tending to the campfire. Gu Ya and Gu Ye were kneeling on one knee in front of Si Mo, reporting to him.

Mu Qingge didn’t listen to what they were saying, but she could guess that Gu Ya and Gu Ye must be telling Si Mo about what happened during his missing time.

Mu Qingge stoked the fire, took out some dry rations from space, and put them on the fire to heat them up.

Just as she warmed the food, she saw Si Mo suddenly stand up and walk towards her. Gu Ya and Gu Ye exchanged a glance and then wisely retreated.

In the cave, only Si Mo and Mu Qingge remained.

Mu Qingge looked up at him, his figure overlapping with the shadows, enveloping her within.

Si Mo sat beside Mu Qingge and took the warmed food from her hand.

It was nothing gourmet, just some simple dry rations. Mu Qingge was not picky; if she were home, she would enjoy everything. But on missions outside, she could also eat these tasteless dry rations.

Si Mo broke off a small piece of the dry rations and put it in his mouth. Immediately, he frowned, struggling to swallow what was in his mouth; the rest he carelessly threw into the fire.

”Hey!” Mu Qingge reached out but couldn’t save the fate of the dry rations.

Suddenly, her eyes widened, looking at Si Mo with displeasure.

Still, Si Mo raised his hand, and with a slight gesture, a tempting spirit fruit appeared in his hand. The spiritual energy on the fruit was very concentrated, and its aroma was mouthwatering.

Mu Qingge took a deep breath and couldn’t help but swallow.

She remembered long ago being taken by Si Mo into a spatial domain, where there was an abundance of flowers and spirit fruits.

’Mengmeng, why does my space not have these spirit fruits?’ Mu Qingge asked in her heart.

Mengmeng sighed helplessly: ’Owner, there are spirit fruits in the space, but they’re in a far mountain. You didn’t say you wanted to eat them, so I forgot to tell you. Probably plenty of spirit fruits fall and rot on the ground when ripe.’

Mengmeng’s words nearly made Mu Qingge implode with frustration.

The pain in her heart was evident in her eyes.

This led to Si Mo’s misunderstanding, ”It’s just some hard-to-swallow dry rations. Are you feeling so heartbroken over them?”

”I...” Mu Qingge wanted to explain herself.

However, Si Mo continued, ”With a pregnancy, you should eat well. Be good, eat this.”

While speaking, he pressed the spirit fruit to Mu Qingge’s lips, so she could bite into the succulent, sweet, juicy flesh just by opening her mouth.

But, Mu Qingge wasn’t in the mood to eat at that moment.

She raised her hand, blocking the spirit fruit from her mouth, and widened her eyes at Si Mo, ”Who told you I’m pregnant?”

”Gu Ya and Gu Ye,” Si Mo replied calmly.

”Those two!” Mu Qingge jumped up, looked around, and found no sign of them. She glared at Si Mo and said through clenched teeth, ”Didn’t they tell you I pretended to be pregnant just to stabilize the situation for you?”

”They did.” Si Mo still looked at her calmly, with no emotional fluctuation in his amber eyes.

Mu Qingge’s mouth twitched, speaking angrily, ”Then why are you...”

”The fake can become real.” Si Mo interrupted her coldly before she finished her words.

”...” Mu Qingge stood stunned in place, blinking at the man before her. Tentatively, she asked, ”What do you mean?”

Si Mo looked at her, his gaze very serious. ”I mean, I’ve succeeded the throne for tens of thousands of years, it’s time to have offspring. Doesn’t the Princess want to give me children?”

”...”

Mu Qingge’s expression froze. This wasn’t even a question of willingness!

”My child can only be born by the Princess.” But before she could speak, Si Mo dominantly declared.

”Cough, cough.” Mu Qingge took a deep breath, faking a cough to cover her embarrassment. She smiled awkwardly, ”Of course we must have children. But now is not the time. Although we are engaged, we are not yet married. Besides, your Demon Clan’s pregnancy lasts three years! Right now, I really don’t have that kind of time!”

Si Mo looked up at her, his amber eyes like the vast starry sky.

His calmness made Mu Qingge more nervous, feeling as if she had done something outrageous, and looking at Si Mo, he appeared as if he had been wronged.

”Let’s go back to the Taixuan Ancient Palace and get married,” Si Mo suddenly said.

”Huh?” Mu Qingge looked at him, baffled.

Why does this man act on impulse?

”Since we are engaged, why drag things out? Marry soon, so our child can be born sooner,” Si Mo said seriously.

”No... it’s not like that.” Mu Qingge anxiously squatted before him, wanting to stop his decision.

But Si Mo’s eyes turned cold, his handsome face cloaked with ice as he asked, ”Do you want to refuse to marry me?”

Mu Qingge’s mouth twitched hard, looking at him speechless. She thought to herself, ’Is this a plan to force marriage while he’s lost his memory?’ She could guarantee that the normal Si Mo would never do something like this.
