Ferocious Boss: Hubby, Let’s Get Married

Chapter 954: You’re Handsome Anyway, Just Show Your Face

“You saw how worried I was when I went shopping before going to your grandmother’s house. I went back to my mother’s house, not my mother-in-law’s house. How should I know? Just wear your work clothes tomorrow. You’re handsome and tall anyway, just show your face.”

Yue Tingfeng rolled his eyes. “Mom, I don’t mean old in that sense. You have to help me think of something. Qingsi’s uncle is…Xia Anlan. I think he’s a bit difficult to deal with. Just look at how he took Qingsi away from Su City and didn’t even allow us to go abd meet her. You know, this kind of person is very difficult to handle. If I don’t make a good impression tomorrow, how can I marry my wife? Mom, do you still want a daughter-in-law?”

“Nonsense, of course! I’ll think about it but you’re right. That Xia Anlan is a difficult person to deal with, you have to think carefully…”

“Then what should I do?”

“I’m thinking now…wait. I’ll look for your grandfather and grandmother, and your eldest uncle. Your eldest uncle has a good relationship with him. We’ll see if he knows what Xia Anlan likes.”

“Okay, go quickly…”

That night, the Su family members only fell asleep after it was twelve at midnight.

After Yue Tingfeng received some tips regarding the clue from his grandfather, grandmother, and uncle, he quickly had someone get those things in the dead of night. Simply speaking, price was not an issue as long as it was the best.

Yue Tingfeng tossed and turned, falling asleep only when it was three o’clock.

…

Yan Qingsi woke up very early. She did not sleep well the previous night and was worried about Yue Tingfeng, hence her insomnia.

It was not even eight o’clock when she went down. She spotted Grandpa Xia and Xia Anlan sitting in the living room reading the news.

She squeezed her fists and walked over, saying, “Grand…pa, Uncle, good morning.”

The old man immediately looked up and saw Yan Qingsi’s glowing eyes. “Qingsi, why did you get up so early? You don’t look too good. Did you rest well?”

Yan Qingsi obviously felt the sudden concern from the old and felt that much closer to him than the day before. She was a little uncomfortable however, and said immediately, “No, I did rest well but I can’t sleep anymore, so I got up.”

Xia Anlan asked, “Hard to sleep in a bed that’s not yours?”

Yan Qingsi scratched her head, “Not really, it’s probably because…a lot has happened in the past two days, that’s why I couldn’t sleep well.”

The old man said, “Then eat some breakfast and head upstairs to rest.”

He looked at her and felt closer to her, perhaps because he knew that she was his own granddaughter. The more he looked, the better the impression he had of the child.

Sure enough, his son’s words were ringing true—a blood-related child would always be better.

That kind of closeness was absent when it came to You Xi.

Yan Qingsi said hurriedly, “It’s okay, it’s okay. I had enough rest. I want to go to the hospital later.”

Xia Anlan nodded. “Okay, you should rest again when you come back later in the afternoon. Since you’re up, let’s have breakfast.”

Yan Qingsi was surprised. “Ah…you haven’t eaten yet.”

She knew Xia Anlan had breakfast early and she thought that he would have eaten already.

Xia Anlan got up and rubbed Yan Qingsi’s silky hair. “It’s only eight o’clock. Eating too early isn’t good.”

It was the old man who said that they had to wait for Yan Qingsi to wake up and eat together. He was not going to miss his first breakfast with his granddaughter.

When they were at the dining table, the old man said to Yan Qingsi. “What do you want to eat? Let the housekeeper know and they’ll make it.”

“Okay.”

Halfway through the meal, Yan Qingsi thought for a moment and said, “Grandpa, Uncle… I want to tell you something.”
