Ferocious Boss: Hubby, Let’s Get Married

Chapter 673: You Did Nothing, The Only Thing You Had Done Was Stripped Her Of Her Clothes

Yan Qingsi chuckled and said, “Of course I won’t allow you to listen to me. I would only make sure Ji Mianmian does.”

“You…” Ye Shaoguang replied frustratingly.

At this moment, Yan Qingsi’s phone rang, breaking the tension. It was Lil Xu calling. She was needed back at her set for her next scene.

After the call ended, Yan Qingsi got up to check on Ji Mianmian as she was seen to be in a state of peaceful slumber in the room. Yan Qingsi then gave Ji Mianmian’s forehead a soft and light touch. It was not as warm as before.

Yan Qingsi felt slightly relieved knowing that Ji Mianmian’s fever was subsiding.

“You’re only looking for someone to play with, Ye Shaoguang. However, Ji Mianmian is not a doll, she is human, she is my assistant. Don’t even think about laying a finger on my people, Yan Qingsi’s personnel.” Yan Qingsi warned Ye Shaoguang with a daunting glare.

Ye Shaoguang felt his chest tightened as Yan Qingsi’s sinister glare could actually see through his facade.

Ye Shaoguang replied, “I happen to be your savior, Yan Qingsi. It’s quite unnecessary for you to oppose me that much right?”

“Hmph…” Yan Qingsi replied with a scoff.

Yan Qingsi then proceeded to remove Ji Mianmian’s blanket as she intended to carry her out of the room.

Upon noticing her rash actions, Ye Shaoguang swiftly bolted over with the full intention of stopping her. He said, “Yan Qingsi, I will have the leniency of bestowing another favor to you. If Ye Lingzhi wanted to show up, so be it. You may ask any questions you please. Any questions at all..”

Yan Qingsi clearly knew exactly what Ye Shaoguang’s intentions were. She briefly let go of Ji Mianmian and simply stated, “I can promise you that if in the infinite possibilities of the universe that you somehow made Ji Mianmian fall in love with you and you actually have feelings for her, I will not stop the both of you in your pursuit of love. However… you’ll need to help me with something.”

After some thought, Ye Shaoguang nodded in agreement and said, “Speak!”

“I need you to gather information about this necklace from You Xi.” Yan Qingsi said.

That necklace was undeniably a thorn on Yan Qingsi’s heart. What kind of connection do You Xi’s necklace and her own mother’s had entirely?

Ye Shaoguang was not surprised by her request. He simply nodded and said, “Alright… I too have a condition for your request. Ji Mianmian stays here. Consider the current state of her own health, you wouldn’t drag her to your movie set now right?”

Without a second of hesitation, Yan Qingsi immediately refused and said, “Nope.”

“Why.” Ye Shaoguang asked.

“Why don’t tell me instead, she had been suffering for the entire length of last night with such a high fever. In her ailing state, what exactly did you do to her, you monster? You think I’d even leave her with you now?” Yan Qingsi exclaimed.

Since the first thing she saw was how painfully sick Ji Mianmian was, and noticing her nude state. The gaps of what could have happened the previous night instantly filled her mind with the image of Ye Shaoguang’s infamous 108 ways of torturing Yan Qingsi. How on Earth could Yan Qingsi still leave Ji Mianmian here?

She would obviously clarify the incident with Ji Mianmian herself when they got back. If the truth happened to be Ji Mianmian was being forced upon, Yan Qingsi would stop at nothing to destroy Ye Shaoguang’s reputation and would personally murder him.

There was nothing Yan Qingsi hated more in this world than men who forced their way on women.

Ye Shaoguang was speechless by her statement. He simply replied, “I did nothing.”

If he had known that Yan Qingsi would drop by at the break of dawn to catch him in the act, he would have been better off actually doing it with Ji Mianmian last night.

However, the usual outcome was, every attempt he tried on her had failed and as a result, caused a slew of misunderstandings and had people assume that he had successfully done it with her.

Death was written all over Yan Qingsi’s face and the cherry on top was her disgusted, judgemental look so generously given by her.

“If you hadn’t done anything, then tell me, how on earth did the clothes on her got stripped away? Don’t you dare say that she was responsible for stripping herself naked. If you have any dignity left as a man Ye Shaoguang, stop with the excuses and just admit that you had done it.” Yan Qingsi ranted.

“I…” Ye Shaoguang stuttered.

Yan Qingsi proceeded to carry Ji Mianmian on her back. However, she felt the full weight of her body resting on her back as she grew heavier and her steps became sluggish. She promptly said after she could no longer move, “Hurry up, would you? What are you standing there for? Help out already.”

“I…” Ye Shaoguang stuttered further.

Ye Shaoguang gritted his teeth tightly as all he could think about was how much he had actually owed these two ladies.

Ever since he had returned to the country, never once in his life had he taken advantage of Ji Mianman and Yan Qingsi every time he met them in person.

The only distinction between Yan Qingsi and Ji Mianmian was one was undeniably intelligent and the latter was… just a fool.
