Mrs. Yue used to like shopping, playing mahjong, and skincare. However, at this moment, she was lazy to entertain those hypocritical ladies. Staying home alone was boring, but to go shopping she had no company, causing her to feel like she was rusting at home.

Now that Yue Tingfeng was giving her something to do, she was filled with excitement. Furthermore, it was to look for Yan Qingsi, she was even more elated.

“Bring Aunt Wu along. The weather is hot now, be careful of heat stroke.”

“Yes yes, I have to get more things that can prevent heatiness. Yan Qingsi must be feeling really heaty while filming. I’ll be off now, I still have many things to bring over.”

“Alright, go ahead, but Ma, you’re there to help me keep an eye on Qingsi, not to let her bad influence get to you.”

“Aiya, fine fine, you’re the best, okay? Oh, right, I have prepared for you some soup to reinforce your kidneys. I stored the soup in the freezer, remember to drink it ya.”

Mrs. Yue ended the call and went off to pack her stuff happily.

Yue Tingfeng held onto his phone, speechless.

He wanted to ask: ‘Ma…your future daughter-in-law is not by your side. You let me drink that soup, who do you expect me to make babies with?’

Yue Tingfeng shook his head and put down his phone.

Qu Jing raised his head from the computer screen. His eyes were bloodshot, exhausted from who knows how many days he worked without rest.

He said: “I’m puzzled. Old man, are you the real father? Who the heck would plot against his own son like this? It’s bad enough that you offer no help normally, but now you’re working with outsiders, leaking Yue family secrets. Is this something a human should do?”

“Perhaps, he is really thinking of stealing your territory for those two b*stard he adopted from who knows where.”

Yue Tingfeng’s face remained stoic and placed his phone aside, calmly saying: “Judging from this incident, it might be insignificant. However, since he dared to do so, I should show my dear father who is the one running the show now.”

Yue Tingfeng’s behavior, when facing Yan Qingsi, was a shameless rascal without integrity. At the same time, he is the type that becomes more calm and collected as he faces bigger crisis.[1]

When backstabbed by his own father, Yue Tingfeng did not experience any of those useless feelings like disappointment, sadness, and disbelief. He immediately went back to the company to come up with countermeasures and finally managed to make Yue clan’s stocks that was losing value for the past few days to be back on the rise.

Yue Tingfeng knew what Yue Pengcheng was planning, but had reigned over the country’s market for many years. Those that dealt with him prior, did any one of them managed to take advantage of him?

It was always him that devours others, never did he give others the chance to invade his territory.

‘Who cares if you are my father.’

Jiang Lai spoke carefully: “Boss, you had Madam to go look for Miss Qingsi, was to let Madam avoid Mr. Yue, but…Madam will eventually be coming back.”

“By the time she’s back, I would have settled things on my end. I’ll let them come at me, but they won’t be able to leave alive.”

Jiang Lai and Qu Jing trembled. Our boss is good.

While the two of them were still basking in Yue Tingfeng’s glory, they heard Boss Yue’s order: “Jiang Lai, reserve a ticket for a flight to Hai City in two days.”

Jian Lai was confused: “There aren’t any business trips recently?”

Qu Jing gave Jian Lai’s head a slap: “Are you stupid?”

You can figure this out with your toe why he is going there! [2]

Yue Tingfeng said with a straight face: “I’m the boss and I want to give myself a holiday. Is that a problem?”

Jiang Lai replied: “Yes of course, but…”

Yue Tingfeng did not let him finish his sentence: “I’m visiting my girlfriend. Is that a problem?”

[1] Author’s raw seems to suggest ‘when Yue clan is in danger, he becomes more calm and collected’, but we think there is an error mixing up ‘岳氏’ (Yue clan) and ‘越是’ (more) as they both are spelled the same way (yue shi).

[2] (用脚趾头想一下也知道) Literally: “You can figure this out using your toe”. This is a Chinese metaphor stressing on how obvious something is to the point that one does not need much brains to come to a conclusion.
