Yue Tingfeng thought to himself, ‘Remove the last word, ‘home’. Doesn’t that mean…’

He chuckled and said, “You know me well.”

He had been wanting it all this while. There had been many opportunities in the past that he simply brushed aside. Even though he had no shame, his pride was still intact.

Yue Tingfeng wanted Yan Qingsi in a consensual manner without coercion. He wanted to have her both physically and emotionally.

Which made things a tad more complicated.

Yan Qingsi gave him a teasing smiled. “No one said otherwise.”

In certain aspects, she truly did understand Yue Tingfeng and vice versa.

When they arrived at Splendid Residences, Yue Tingfeng followed Yan Qingsi upstairs.

He had been driving the whole night without stopping for a rest but other than some redness in his eyes, he looked as gorgeous as ever.

He was feeling excited. Yan Qingsi was inviting him to her house. Who knows, they might get to the next level soon.

The time he spent in Jing City was not for naught. The small card he sent did its job.

His efforts in taming Yan Qingsi were going to bear fruit today.

However—

When the door opened, Yan Qingsi took her luggage from Qi Chengzhi’s hand and threw it into the house. She said, “I’m tired now and I want to sleep. I have some other things to do later. If you really can’t wait, just take care of yourself with your hand. Y’know, be independent.”

Yue Tingfeng wore a shocked expression. His jaw clenched as he responded, “Yan Qingsi…”

“Thanks for bringing my luggage up. Bye.”

Bang! The door was shut.

Yue Tingfeng stood alone outside the door like a fool, his time and effort wasted.

A moment passed before Yue Tingfeng started shouting, “Yan Qingsi, you b*tch!”

After his verbal abuse subsided, the door suddenly opened. Yue Tingfeng thought Yan Qingsi finally realized how cruel she was and decided to let him in.

Instead, Yan Qingsi fumbled for some change in her pocket and placed them in Yue Tingfeng’s hand. “A small tip for you. Go get yourself a steamed bun.”

Then, the door slammed shut in his face.

Yan Qingsi kicked off her shoes and haphazardly threw herself on the bed. She was feeling happy and relaxed. Within seconds, she had fallen asleep.

Yue Tingfeng stood in front of the door for a good ten minutes. The door was shut tight with no sounds coming from the inside. He could not help but double-check if she was playing a trick on him. “A**hole, you really aren’t letting me in?”

He took out a cigarette and placed it between his teeth.

Well, whatever.

Now, he understood that Yan Qingsi only took him as her personal driver. How dumb of him. She really was a c*nt.

Initially, he believed that Yan Qingsi trusted him, but now that he had some time to think, he realized that she was just using him. Boarding a plane or train would require identification and Yan Qingsi could not afford to leave a paper trail. Yan Qingsi had to hide her whereabouts. If the police found out that she left Jing City on the day of Xu Qianxi’s incident, it would cast her in a bad light.

Meanwhile, traveling by car would not arouse any suspicion since there were no identification checks on the highway.

This woman had ulterior motives from the start.

Yue Tingfeng realized that he had been played. It was so obvious but he only found out now.

He crushed the coins in his palm and gritted his teeth.

“I f*cking drove for the whole night and coins are all that you’re giving me?”
