Child of Destiny

Atlas World

Special Dungeon

Shin took quite a long time before he could clear all the Drakon Monsters within the solo dungeon. He was only able to make sure that he had cleared all the nests and individual monsters scattered within the dungeon when the Brilliant Flames had ‘told’ him about it.

After clearing the Drakons, the Brilliant Flames had become less tainted with the corrupted powers, making it quite noticeable.

The dark and eerie powers that were corrupting the dungeon were still present, but it was less effective compared to before due to the lack of monsters residing within the dungeon.

These Drakons were living within the chaotic environment of the dungeon, where the Brilliant Flame and the Corrupted Powers were constantly fighting each other. Because of this, they had evolved and mutated repeatedly, matching the environment that they were in.

In response, they had also started contributing to the cycle of powers within the dungeon, which was why the balance between the two powers collapsed right after Shin wiped them out.

This was the main reason why the balance of powers started to tilt towards the Brilliant Flame’s favor.

Given his current connection with the Powers of the Brilliant Sun filling the dungeon, Shin could tell that it was starting to overwhelm the opposing powers, suppressing them to a certain extent.

Shin did not stay idle either as he swiftly sprinted toward the direction that the Brilliant Flames were pointing him, heading straight to the place where the Evil Being was located.

It did not take that long for him to reach his destination, which seemed to be the center and the heart of the entire dungeon.

Right after he arrived, he was immediately greeted by a sight that made him slightly furrow his brows.

Before him was a huge cage made of Brilliant Flames with a humanoid figure suspended at its center.

Shin could sense an overwhelming power coming from this individual, which was even affecting him to a certain degree. He even felt that the powers within him were boiling in rage due to the presence of this individual.

He felt that he would be crushed by the pressure coming from the opposing party if not for the unified powers within his body protecting him.

Fortunately, due to the limbs of that individual being wrapped in golden chains, which were restraining its movements and sealing its powers, the pressure that he was getting was barely at the level where his body and powers could withstand.

There was also a thick dark miasma that was being emitted by that individual’s body, which was constantly fighting against the Brilliant Flames around it.

There was no need to guess as Shin could tell that it must be the evil being that was being sealed in this dungeon.

Using his eyes to have a closer look at the so-called evil being, Shin could see that it was a creature that had features similar to a humanoid dragon.

The other party shared a lot of similarities with a Dragonkin. The only difference that Shin could see from this individual was the dense, dark, and eerie energy that it was constantly emitting.

If there was something that Shin found a little different from Arthur, a Dragonkin he knew, and this individual, then it must be the noticeable features of a draconic human had such as the thick scales that covered almost every part of their bodies and the pair of antlers-like horns sticking out from their head.

Shin found that this evil being was oddly similar to Arthur when he entered a fusion state with his elemental dragons.

But when he put more thought into it, he also found it reasonable since this evil being was supposed to be born from the remains of the Fallen Dark Dragon and the powers of a divine apostle.

Activating his True Sight Skill, Shin tried to look for the details of the other party.

[Monster Name]: Fallen Dark Dragon ‘Kardama’ (Incarnation Avatar)

[Monster Title]: The Conqueror of all Poisons and Venoms

[Monster Type]: Humanoid Creature (Fallen Draconic Family)

[Monster Rank]: Lord Rank (Sealed State)

[Life Rating]: Hybrid Dragon (Evil Being)

[Monster Level]: 160

Health Points: 20 Million

Historical Background:

-An Evil Being that was born from the unification of the soul of the original Fallen Dark Dragon and a fragment of a Divine Apostle.

It had been suppressed within the isolated dimensional pocket created by the Fifth Envoy of the Church of the Sun and Moon, Altus.

But because of the great vitality that it had inherited from its Draconic Roots, it still managed to live up until this point and remained strong.

However, due to it being suppressed for a very long time, its powers were greatly weakened, which was further lessened due to it separating its core to create its Evil Fragments.

Because the Evil Fragments had also been destroyed before they could collect them, their great powers were further weakened, making them lose most of their abilities and hereditary powers.

Note 1: This vessel carried a very powerful soul.

Note 2: Due to this creature being born from a Dragon, there was a high chance that it would leave a Mutated Draconic Core (Dragon Heart) once it was killed.

Shin slightly raised his brows after skimming through the basic information of the monster. He also could not help but curse a little after seeing the rank of the monster.

A Chieftain-Rank Monster of the Awakened Continent was his current limit. This included those with special bloodlines.

Facing a Lord Rank Monster Boss alone made it a little tricky to deal with even after he used his Racial Berserk Skill: Metamorphosis, especially when it was a creature from a direct Draconic Bloodline.

A True Dragon was far from his current abilities; what more if it possessed the hybrid abilities that came from a Divine Apostle?

Fortunately, he could sense that the Brilliant Flames filling the entire dungeon were telling him that they would give him some assistance in battle.

“Tsk! It is a pity that I have not triggered a Quest Scenario that can boost my stats,” he could only click his tongue as he thought about this.

What was even trickier was that he was unable to use any other form of Elemental Spirit Possession at this moment, which had not happened earlier.

Aside from the Divine Constellation that Solus provided, the rest of the possessions were sealed.

He knew that this would make the battle even trickier as he would not be able to utilize the full extent of his Racial Berserk Skill to the fullest this way.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

Seemingly understanding his concerns, the Brilliant Flames surrounding him moved, seemingly trying to comfort and assure him about it.

Raising his brows, Shin smiled as he spoke. “I guess I have to rely on ‘you’ on this one.”

After that, he swiftly initiated the Elemental Spirit Possession, allowing Solus to fuse with the [Yamato] and activating the Divine Constellation Possession.

Boom!

Right after the possession process was completed, Shin immediately sensed that his connection with the surrounding flames was further enhanced.

If he had only been able to sense and communicate with them earlier, then he could feel that these Brilliant Flames were now worshiping him as if he were their master.

To make it even more effective, the Mark of Eclipse that was engraved on the back of his right hand also showed some reaction, further enhancing his abilities to control all the fire-type powers around him.

With the help of his Eternal Flame and the surrounding Brilliant Flames, Shin felt a slight confidence in fighting the Evil Being before him to a certain extent.

But at the same time, he also could tell that it was far from being enough to defeat the other party, so he had to rely on his techniques and skills to fill that gap.

Boom!

Seemingly sensing his presence, Evil Being Kardama slowly opened its eyes, revealing its crimson pupils and vertical irises.

The pressure that he was also emitting rose exponentially, seemingly trying to crush Shin with it.

Swoosh!

But in response to the surrounding Brilliant Flames quickly gathered and created a barrier that protected Shin, causing a massive explosion.

Boom!

The collision between the two powers shook the entire dungeon, making the ground and space tremble intensely.

Clank! Clank!

At the same time, Shin saw that the golden chains that were binding Kardama snapped one after another, freeing himself from the restrictions.

But in exchange for freely moving his body, Kardama also sacrificed a huge portion of his powers, causing his overwhelming health bar to drop sharply and only stopping when it reached the 10-million mark.

The damage was supposed to be painful, especially with such a huge decrease in health. But this evil being acted as if it were nothing, seemingly telling Shin that it could not feel any pain.

Slightly raising his brows, Shin could not help but click his tongue for another before getting ready for battle.

He fully understood that this raid would not be easy, so he had to be fully focused and maintain his perfect state.
