Reborn As Noble

Liana’s eyes widened, her lips parting slightly.

”Y... Young Master... has a twin?”

Fransesca let out a soft laugh, shaking her head.

”Oh, hush, Liana~ You know who Honey Bun’s twin is~ The one who’s always with him, follows him everywhere, mirrors his mischief, and is just as picky an eater as he is~ Always wants meat and refuses to touch vegetables~”

Liana paused. Her expression shifted from confusion to realization. A stifled laugh escaped her lips. She raised her palm to cover her mouth, her shoulders shaking gently.

Gloria smiled and shook her head slowly. Mimi continued her mischief, squeezing Celine’s breasts while Celine, who squirmed and tried desperately to slip away. Gracelle sat up properly, a soft smile on her lips as she watched. Delya let out a soft, dreamy exhale, her usual expression never fading.

Liana mumbled under her breath.

”Buddy~”

”Yes~” Fransesca nodded, her smile warm. ”The one who will always find him. Even if he masks his presence, hides his mana, or vanishes into thin air, that pekko will sniff him out before anyone else can. The one who knows his master’s scent better than anyone~ The one who will always be by his side, no matter where he goes~”

Fransesca raised a handkerchief to her lips, her shoulders trembling with exaggerated sobs. She turned her head away, dabbing at the corners of her eyes.

”Oh~! How sad~ My baby boy no longer wants to spend time with this old woman~”

She peeked over the handkerchief, her eyes glistening with feigned sorrow.

”He would rather go off with his twin, chasing rare fruits and getting into mischief, than sit with his poor, lonely mother who only wants to pamper him~”

She let out a dramatic sigh, her free hand rising to her chest as if steadying her broken heart.

”To think my Honey Bun would abandon me like this~ And after everything I’ve done for him~ All those years of cuddles, and kisses, and hugs. And now he casts me aside for a pekko and a piece of fruit~”

She turned her head further away, lifting the handkerchief higher to hide her face.

”And my husband is busy with his Queens, locked away in the villa all afternoon. My other sons are busy with their own wives and their own lives. Every single one of them has someone to spend their day with. I thought at least my youngest would keep me company. My last hope. My little Honey Bun. But no~ He left me too. All alone. With nothing but the sound of the waves and my own thoughts.”

Liana smiled softly, her expression warm and gentle. She clasped her hands in front of her and bowed her head slightly.

”Lady Mother... if you don’t mind, and if you’re comfortable with it, you’re welcome to join us for an afternoon nap. We have plenty of space. And I’m sure the girls would be happy to have you here.”

Fransesca’s eyes lit up instantly. The handkerchief lowered, and her feigned sorrow vanished, replaced by a bright, warm smile. She reached out and gently placed one finger under Liana’s chin, tilting her face up.

”This is why I love all my Honey Bun’s girls~”

Liana stepped aside, gesturing gracefully toward the room. Fransesca stepped inside. She removed her beach towel in one smooth motion, and Liana took it, folded it neatly, and placed it on the table nearby.

”Nya? Lady Mother is joining us? Yay!”

Mimi released Celine in an instant, leaped off the bed, and launched herself at Fransesca. She landed against her, wrapping her arms and legs around her like a koala, her tail swaying with pure excitement. She rested her cheek against Fransesca’s breasts and giggled softly.

Felicia hissed low under her breath, her ears flattening.

”Mimi! Show some respect! Lady Mother is our mother-in-law! You can’t just jump on her like she’s one of us!” She glanced at Fransesca and bowed her head. ”Lady Mother, please forgive her behavior.”

”Ara~ No need to be so formal, Felicia~”

Fransesca smiled warmly, one hand resting gently on Mimi’s head, stroking her hair.

”Mimi is just happy. And I am happy to be welcomed like this.”

She glanced around the room, her gaze sweeping over each girl with warmth.

”You are all my future daughters-in-law... No~ My daughters-in-law. We are family. And family should be comfortable with each other. So please, treat me as family. No stiff formalities. Just... be comfortable with me. Like you would with your own sister. Or your own friend.”

She tilted her head, her smile widening.

”After all, we’re going to be spending a lot of time together, aren’t we? So we might as well get comfortable~”

Liana smiled and clasped both hands in front of her, bowing her head gracefully.

”If Lady Mother wishes it.”

Gloria nodded, a genuine smile softening her features. ”We would be honored to have you with us, Lady Mother. Thank you for wanting to spend time with us.”

Felicia’s expression softened, her ears relaxing. She dipped her head in a polite bow. ”We are happy to hear that, Lady Mother. Please make yourself comfortable.”

Gracelle bowed slightly, her cheeks pink. Celine sat up properly, adjusting her bikini top before bowing with a warm smile. Delya tilted her head with her usual dreamy smile and said softly, ”I’m happy to be able to bond with you, Lady Mother.”

Lyzia, meanwhile, pursed her lips and glanced around at all of Javier’s girls. Her eyes flickered from Liana to Gloria, to Felicia, to Delya, to Mimi, to Gracelle, to Celine. She watched the way they spoke, the way they carried themselves, the way they belonged.

A strange feeling stirred in her chest, but she couldn’t name it.

Fransesca smiled, her gaze scanning the room before it landed on Delya.

”Delya?”

”Yes, Lady Mother?”

”Isn’t your brother supposed to arrive here soon? I heard he was coming to the island.”

Delya nodded. ”Yes, Lady Mother. The maid informed me that my brother is already in Armand. He’s at Gaze City, with his escorts.” She paused, her expression turning slightly apologetic. ”I’m sorry that my sister-in-law couldn’t come. She said there was an important matter to handle, and the throne cannot be left empty.”

Delya tilted her head in confusion. ”But it’s strange. The maid mentioned my brother said something in a low, urgent voice. He said, ’Nyxara is with him.’”

”Ara~ Nyxara is coming with him~?”

Fransesca’s smile remained warm, but her eyes glinted with something deeper. She tilted her head, her voice dropping into a soft, knowing mumble.

”A real trouble is coming~”
