Reborn As Noble

Buddy glanced down at Javier, whose face was buried between Fransesca’s breasts. His beak curled into a smirk as Javier finally pulled back, gasping hard for air.

Fransesca planted a quick kiss on his lips.

”Don’t go too far, and be back before dark.”

”M... Mother...”

Javier’s cheeks flushed. He rubbed the back of his head, his voice coming out sheepish.

”You can stop treating me like I’m still a kid, you know.”

Fransesca laughed softly, tilting her head.

”No matter how old you get, no matter how strong you become, no matter how many wives you have... you will always be my boy.”

She turned and walked toward the building where Liana and the others were resting, her hips swaying gently, her golden-brown hair catching the late afternoon light. She waved gracefully over her shoulder.

”Have fun with Buddy. And don’t be late for dinner, or I’ll have Liana hunt you down~”

Javier and Buddy both watched her go before buddy squawked and glanced down at him.

”Cuquawked?” (What’s wrong?)

Javier blinked and turned to face him, rubbing the back of his head with a sheepish grin.

”Nothing, Buddy. Nothing.”

Buddy tilted his head down, glancing directly at Javier’s face.

”Cuquawked~? Cuquawked~” (Really? Mama’s boy~)

”Oh, shut up, Buddy.”

Javier placed both hands on his hips and swatted Buddy’s beak away. Buddy pulled his head up and glanced down at him with a curious tilt.

”So, Buddy? You mentioned another rare fruit. Is that for real? Or are you just playing with me?”

Buddy puffed his chest out and bobbed his head proudly.

”Cuquawked~ Cuquawked~” (It’s real~ Just trust me~)

Javier narrowed his eyes, studying him.

”Hard to believe this island has rare fruit. Are you sure you’re not hallucinating? Maybe you ate something weird and now you’re seeing things. I even scanned the whole island with my detection skill, and couldn’t find anything valuable or unusual.”

He started walking, and Buddy fell into step beside him.

”Cuquawked~ Cuquawked~” (Of course you can’t find it~ You’re human. Humans don’t understand the rarity of fruit. Your noses are too weak. Your eyes can’t see the true color of something ripe. You only look at what’s pretty, not what’s delicious.)

Buddy smirked and nudged Javier with his wing.

”Cuquawked~ Cuquawked~” (Besides, humans are interested in strange things. Women. Sitting at tables with folded napkins, eating with little knives and forks. Wiping your mouths with cloth. All that fancy stuff~)

”Oi! I don’t eat like that!” Javier shot back, glaring up at him. ”I eat like a normal person. I bite into my food. I drink straight from the glass. I don’t sit around with five different forks and a napkin on my lap like some noble at a formal dinner.”

He shoved his hands into the pockets of his trunks, grumbling.

”I don’t care about all that etiquette nonsense. Sitting up straight. Small bites. Fancy napkins. I just want to eat when I’m hungry. Drink when I’m thirsty. I’ll eat rice with my hands if I want to. I’ll bite into a whole roasted leg of meat and tear it apart with my teeth. No forks. No knives. No tiny little pieces. Just me, the food, and my appetite.”

Buddy let out a low, approving squawk, his beak curling into a smug smirk.

”Cuquawked~” (Now that’s more like it, Master~)

Meanwhile.

Fransesca walked inside the portable building, the door closing softly behind her with a faint pulse of her magic. Her feet shimmered with a gentle cleanse spell, and she padded silently across the polished floor, leaving no trace of sand behind. She moved with unhurried grace toward the staircase, her golden-brown hair swaying softly down her back.

She reached the top of the staircase and stepped onto the first floor. A cool, gentle breeze washed over her the moment she crossed the threshold, soft and refreshing, carrying the faint sweetness of enchanted air. The entire floor felt like a perfect spring afternoon, cool and calm.

Wow... My Honey Bun’s new portable building is far more impressive than the one he summoned for everyone back in Mathrias before~

Fransesca smiled softly, about to continue down the hall when a voice drifted from the main bedroom.

”M... Mimi! Don’t grope my breast like that!”

”Nyahahaha! This is what you get for having bigger boobs than me, junior number two~ Nya~”

Fransesca chuckled softly, covering her lips with her palm. From inside the room, Felicia’s voice came again, sharp and flustered.

”Mimi! Stop causing trouble! We’re supposed to be taking a peaceful nap! Liana already told us to rest, not to start a wrestling match!”

”Nya~ But Mimi is bored~ And junior number two is so soft and squishy~”

”MIMI!”

Fransesca shook her head with a warm, amused smile. She walked toward the door and knocked softly before speaking.

”Liana~?”

The room fell silent. Then a hurried footstep, a muffled thud, and a soft yelp echoed from inside. A moment later, the door opened, and Liana stood there, rubbing her toe against the floor, forcing a sweet smile onto her face.

”Lady Mother...”

Fransesca glanced down at Liana’s feet, noticing the way she was subtly rubbing her toe against the floor. She raised her palm to cover her lips, stifling a soft laugh, her shoulders shaking gently.

”Ara~ Liana, you don’t need to rush like that.”

She tilted her head, her smile turning playful and teasing.

”If you hurt yourself, who will take care of my Honey Bun properly after everyone else is exhausted?”

Liana smiled, her cheeks flushing faintly at the teasing. She glanced over Fransesca’s shoulder, her eyes sweeping the hallway.

”Lady Mother... where is Young Master?”

”Ah~” Fransesca’s smile widened. ”His twin came to fetch him~”

Liana blinked, tilting her head in confusion. Behind her, the room went quiet.

Behind her, Gloria had just set her glasses down on the bedside table and was now staring at Fransesca in disbelief. Felicia sat up straighter, her ears twitching, surprise flickering across her face.

Mimi, who was still straddling Celine with both hands groping her breasts, froze mid-squeeze and glanced over her shoulder at Fransesca. Delya, sitting on the edge of the huge bed, tilted her head with a dreamy, puzzled expression.

Gracelle, who was about to lay down on the pillow, paused mid-motion, sat up straighter, and her eyes widened with surprise. Lyzia, who had just stepped out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her hair, looked around at everyone’s reactions with complete confusion.

Every girl in the room, except Lyzia, shouted in perfect unison.

”T... TWIN!?”
