Reborn As Noble

Before the scream.

Javier slowly stood up and bowed. ”Esteemed Father. I will take my leave now.”

”Mm. If you have anything you don’t understand about the paperwork, you know where to meet me.”

”Yes, esteemed Father.” Javier said, placed his palm over his left chest, bowed, took one step back from his chair, and turned toward the main door.

Alright. Time to feed Buddy first, kiss all my future wives, and then get to work. He glanced at his mana watch, still had an hour before Varrick and the others would arrive at the office. I wonder where Liana is with the others?

But man... sex with Felicia last night was too good. Everyone is special in their own way. But lucky all three of them have bare pussies~ I love that. I wonder about Delya and Mimi...

Javier was humming softly as he stepped out of the main dining room door.

He walked down the corridor, skipping a little. Ehehe... next, I think Delya. Man... I want to claim all of my wives!

He noticed his mother walking gracefully down the corridor, accompanied by Erisa and the other battle maids.

Javier immediately shifted into a more formal posture. He stepped to the side, bowed deeply, and reached for Francesca’s hand, gently kissing the back of it like a knight greeting his queen.

”Esteemed Mother. You look absolutely gorgeous today.”

”My~ Honey Bun~” Francesca smiled, her eyes glinting with a mix of affection and something sharper.

”You’re not too busy right now, Honey Bun?”

”If there’s anything you need, esteemed Mother, I gladly spare some time, just for you.” Javier smiled, wiggling his eyebrows playfully.

”Ara~ What a good son~ Now, Honey Bun~” Francesca’s voice was sweet, but her eyes held a glimmer that made Javier’s playful grin falter slightly.

”Yes, esteemed Mother?” Javier glanced at her with a smile.

”If you don’t mind, can I ask you about something?” Francesca smiled and tilted her head gently.

”Ask anything, Mother! I’d move mountains if you asked me to.”

”Oh my~ You’ve become such a charming, gallant gentleman~” she praised, her tone light but her gaze sharpening. ”But do tell me, Honey Bun~ Why aren’t all your future wives officially engaged to you yet~? Hmm?”

”Hmm? They are all my fiancées, Mother. What are you talking about?” Javier replied, his tone polite and respectful, but his smile grew slightly uneasy as he noticed the subtle shift in her expression.

”And yet... you haven’t given them official engagement necklaces?” Francesca’s smile remained, but her tone was edged with quiet authority.

Javier was confused. ”What are you talking about, Mother?” He raised an eyebrow, but his question was cut short as Francesca reached for his wrist. Her touch was gentle, but her grip was firm, almost unyielding.

Meanwhile, Garius, who had just finished eating, dabbed his lips with a napkin.

He glanced at Marcellus, Cedric, Aelius, and Heres.

”Mm... Now, all of you. Like I mentioned, don’t leave the estate. Especially the three of you.” Garius said while looking toward Marcellus, Cedric, and Heres. He then turned his gaze to Aelius. ”Your Lady Mother mentioned not to meet Athine before the wedding, correct?”

”Yes, esteemed Father,” Aelius said with a nod.

”Mm... Since it’s only four days. Right?”

”Yes, esteemed Father.”

”Mm... Now, I’ll take my leave.” Garius said, slowly standing up as Hesbeirn and Gilmon moved to escort him.

Just as he was about to reach the door, he heard Javier scream loudly.

He glanced at Hesbeirn and Gilmon before shaking his head. ”What is he doing now? Can he start growing up and become mature? Always playing around with his wives...”

”It looks like someone needs to be scolded properly,” Garius muttered under his breath, exhaling softly as he considered teaching Javier a lesson about responsibility and decorum.

Garius was about to head toward where the sound came from but paused and turned back when he saw Francesca had Javier locked in a gentle but inescapable hold, a sight that made even him, the stern King of the Armand Nation, hesitate to intervene.

Hesbeirn and Gilmon both broke into a cold sweat, quickly turning around to follow Garius as he quietly retreated from the scene.

”We didn’t see anything here, right, Hesbeirn, Gilmon?”

”Yes, Your Majesty. We didn’t see anything. We didn’t hear anything.”

”Mother!! Forgive me!!!”

”Really? Hmm?” Francesca smiled sweetly. ”So when will you make it official? Or are you just playing around with their feelings?”

”I’m... I’m serious, Mother!!!” Javier tried to wiggle free but failed, her grip unyielding.

”So when will you make it official, hmm?” Francesca locked his hands behind him, her tone still gentle but firm.

”This week! This week!” Javier shouted in pain, glancing over his shoulder, pleading.

”Really? Promise?” Francesca leaned forward, meeting his eyes with a sweet, almost innocent smile that somehow felt more intimidating than a glare.

”Trust me, Mother... I... I will.”

”I’ll give you this week. Promise me you’ll make it official, hmm? I didn’t raise my son to be irresponsible with the hearts of those who love him.”

Javier slumped onto the floor, letting out a dramatic, playful sob. ”Mother... you’re cruel.”

”Ara~ Me? Cruel~? Hmm?” Francesca glanced at Javier, her smile widening as she tilted her head, her eyes glinting with amused menace.

”Eeekkk!!! No! I didn’t mean it that way!” Javier sat up and leaned against the wall, letting out a sheepish grin.

Francesca exhaled, shaking her head. ”You’re lucky you’re my Honey Bun. If not...”

”Ehehehe... you love me, right, Mother?”

Francesca gave him a playful side-glare. ”Now make sure you keep your promise.”

”Yes, esteemed Mother.” Javier saluted with a playful grin, his expression a mix of mischief and genuine respect.

After Francesca exhaled and walked away, Javier exhaled hard, slumping against the wall.

Man... I did forget about the official engagement necklaces. I guess I’ll craft them once my work is done. I wonder what material I should use... Maybe moonstone for Liana, something playful for Gloria, something elegant for Felicia...

Well... it’s my fault anyway. They’ve probably been expecting and waiting for it, quietly hoping I’d make it official. I can’t believe I overlooked something so important.

Tomorrow is Marcellus, Cedric, and Heres’ wedding. Going to be busy this week with Aelius’ wedding and all the celebrations.

Guess I’ll go feed Buddy and the other Pekko first. Gotta maintain the routine.
