My SSS-Rank Innate skill: Infinite Adaptation core

Nova immediately replied, ”I wouldn’t dare!”

”Hmph.” She snorted lightly, then continued in a more serious tone.”Anyway, let’s get to the important matters.

The Third Level of the Abyss is known as the most prosperous level in the entire Abyss. High-level demons, Demon Generals, and Demon Lords all reside here with their clans.”

”It’s also the second largest level in the entire Abyss. Now, let’s talk about the Royal Demon Clans.” Nyxara continued walking at a calm pace as she spoke.

”First, let me make one thing clear. As a demon, this is knowledge you should already possess. The only reason you don’t is because you’ve lived your entire life away from the Abyss on the human continent.”

”Why are the Royal Demon Clans called ’royal’? It’s because they possess the purest demonic bloodlines and carry the purest demonic energy and aura.

That purity is what allows them to travel freely even on the Fourth Level without difficulty. However, not every royal clan is blessed by the Demon God... except for my clan, of course. That is one of the reasons my father is currently the strongest Demon Lord.”

She then continued with the actual clans. ”There are a total of five Royal Demon Clans.”

”The first is the Sloth Clan. They are known for their extreme laziness and their fat, pig-like bodies. Despite their appearance, their skin is extremely tough, making most physical attacks nearly useless against them.

Their defense is among the strongest of all demons, and like all demons, they also possess very high regeneration.”

Nova listened carefully. Receiving this kind of detailed information directly from a high-level demon one even stronger than a Demon General — was extremely valuable. He silently committed everything to memory.

Nyxara continued without stopping, her wide, plump hips swaying slightly as she walked.

”The current head of the Sloth Clan is Demon Lord Drazhul, also known as ’The Endless Sleeper.’ He spends most of his time either sleeping or eating like the pig he is. He is currently ranked as the Fifth strongest Demon Lord.”

Nova nodded, making sure to remember the name along with the other important details.

”The next Royal Demon Clan is the Umbrakai Clan,” Nyxara went on. ”They are shadow demons — silent, mysterious, and almost completely emotionless.

They specialize in shadow manipulation, assassination, stealth, and shadow travel. That combination makes them extremely annoying to deal with... though it’s not like I haven’t killed a few of them before.”

Nova glanced at her briefly, then looked ahead again. She clearly liked to praise herself while explaining things, but he kept his focus on the information itself.

”The head of the Umbrakai Clan is Demon Lord Noctis Umbrakai, also known as ’The Eternal Shadow.’

He is an extremely mysterious Demon Lord who rarely involves himself in political matters and only appears when challenged. He is currently considered the fourth strongest Demon Lord.”

Nyxara’s expression then twisted with clear disgust as she continued.

”Next is the Lust Clan — the clan of Succubi and Incubi. They are nothing but a bunch of horny dogs. I hate them so much...”

Even though Nyxara herself possessed a highly seductive body and was a demon, she was surprisingly pure when it came to matters of sex and intimacy.

She genuinely despised how members of the Lust Clan freely slept with anyone they desired and formed relationships without restraint.

She glanced at Nova and spoke in a serious tone.

”You should never get close to any of those bitches. They’ll suck you dry — especially since you have such....handsome face. In particular, stay away from that slut Elaris Vespera, the Queen of Eternal Desire.

She’s nothing but a filthy whore who will try to get her hands on you the moment she sees you. She’s the head of the Lust Clan, a Demon Queen, and currently the third strongest Demon Lord.”

”But you don’t have to worry too much. Just don’t leave my side when the time comes. Their main territory isn’t in this region anyway.”

Nova nodded slowly. Liya’s voice immediately echoed in his mind with clear amusement.

{ I can’t tell if she’s warning you not to get close to them... or if she’s just being jealous.}

Even Nova felt a little confused by her tone, but he didn’t have time to dwell on it as Nyxara continued speaking.

”Although those dogs are nothing but dirty perverts, they are still very powerful. They specialize in lust charms, illusions, dream manipulation, emotional control, and life-force absorption.”

Nova listened carefully and understood why the Lust Clan was still recognized as one of the Royal Clans. Those abilities would be extremely troublesome to deal with. Still, he wasn’t particularly worried.

With his strong soul and Instinct Dominion, he was confident he could defend himself if necessary. Nova’s thoughts were interrupted as Nyxara continued speaking.

”Now comes the Infernis Clan — the Hellfire Demons. They are aggressive, destructive, and completely battle-crazed.

They specialize in abyssal flames and explosions, and they possess complete fire immunity. Their destructive fire powers are among the most terrifying in the Abyss.”

”They are often called the ’crazy demons.’ They anger extremely easily, so most people prefer to avoid getting involved with them. Offend them even slightly, and they might burn you to ashes without hesitation.”

”The head of the Infernis Clan is Demon Lord Azrakar Infernis ’The Inferno King’. He is currently the second strongest Demon Lord after my father. He’s a complete maniac, and even many Emperors from other races fear him.”

”He likes to challenge my father to battle from time to time. Although he loses every single time, he never stops challenging him.

He wants to surpass my father no matter what. Even though he’s a crazy bastard, he still has enough pride that losing doesn’t destroy his courage to challenge again.”

Nova silently agreed with her assessment. From the way she described him, Demon Lord Azrakar sounded like a true warrior with strong battle pride.

Nova found himself looking forward to the day he became strong enough to fight someone like that — and he had a feeling that day might not be too far away.

Nova suddenly had a few doubts and decided to ask Liya inwardly. Hey... what’s the difference between fire immunity and resistance?

Liya answered immediately.

{ Immunity is the highest level of resistance toward an element like fire or poison. Demons with true fire immunity can’t be killed by any kind of fire that exists in this world... of course, that doesn’t include certain special or higher-level flames that might exist beyond it. }

Hmm... so that’s how it is, Nova thought. He was still a very long way from obtaining true immunity to any element.

He then turned to Nyxara and asked another question. ”So their Abyssal Flame... is it the same as the one that demonic beast used in its breath attack — the one you killed?”

Nyxara glanced at him and nodded slightly.

”Hmm. So you recognized the Abyssal Flame. Yes, it’s the same. They are the only demons capable of using it.

However, not every member of the Infernis Clan can control Abyssal Flame. Only those who have reached a very high level of comprehension over it can do so.”

”Currently, only Demon Lord Azrakar Infernis — the Inferno King — and a few of his generals are capable of using it. As for demonic beasts, not all of them can release Abyssal Breath or Abyssal Flame either. It’s a very high-level flame.”

”I see.” Nova nodded as he absorbed her explanation. So there were flames in this world with such destructive power.

He currently possessed a flame of his own that he could use in his dragon transformations, and it also seemed extremely powerful. When he had tested it before, it had instantly consumed a massive amount of his mana.

{ Of course it would, } Liya remarked. { That was no ordinary flame. It’s a very special one. I can’t even reveal its true name until you reach the Emperor Realm yourself. }

Nova understood. From the power he had witnessed with his own eyes, he could already tell that his flame was far stronger than ordinary Abyssal Flame. For now, he decided not to dwell on it.

”Next comes my clan,” Nyxara said.
