My SSS-Rank Innate skill: Infinite Adaptation core

Nova was too shocked to say anything.

He had just realized he had fucked the daughter of the strongest Demon Lord in the entire Abyss.

Liya’s voice immediately rang out in his mind, full of amusement.

{ Congratulations again~ }

Shut up, Nova shouted inwardly at Liya.

He looked at Nyxara and gulped hard. He couldn’t even begin to imagine what kind of consequences he was about to face.

Seeing the clear fear on his face, Nyxara smiled faintly.

”You should be scared. Even if I don’t kill you and actually help you leave this place, you would still end up dead. Of course... I would also make sure to reveal exactly what you did to me.”

Nova felt trapped in a deep dilemma. What exactly did this woman want? Why was she deliberately scaring him like this? What was her true motive?

He forced himself to speak.

”...What do you want from me then? Just kill me if that’s what you’ve already decided.”

Nyxara’s crimson eyes studied him carefully as he spoke. She was not inherently a bad woman, but the environment she had grown up in and the situation she was forced into had shaped her into someone ruthless.

As a demon of the Zarok clan — a bloodline known for its cunning and merciless nature — that ruthlessness came naturally.

She looked him straight in the eyes and spoke in a clear, commanding voice.

”I have a proposal for you. Either you listen to it and agree... or I’ll simply kill you for defiling me.”

Nova heard her words and immediately began weighing his options. Anything was better than being left at the mercy of a Demon Lord — especially when he was still far too weak to even handle Demon Generals properly.

Nova looked at Nyxara and spoke with forced confidence.”What is your proposal...? It’s not like I have any real choice if I want to stay alive.”

Nyxara heard his comment but didn’t respond to it. Her black sword disappeared from her hand.

She folded her arms under her chest, unknowingly pushing up her ample, massive breasts, and began to speak.

”As I already told you, I am the daughter of the current strongest Demon Lord, Kharos Zarok. He was second only to Demon Lord Raze... who was his cousin, and my uncle.”

Nova was shocked once again by the revelation.

Just a few days ago — though it felt like years because of the time he had spent inside the system training space after that— he had absorbed Demon Lord Raze’s heart and soul.

And now he was standing face to face with a blood relative of that very Demon Lord. What kind of coincidence was this?

He opened his mouth to speak.

”Wasn’t Demon Lord Raze’s mother a demon from a royal clan? Don’t tell me—”

Before he could finish, Nyxara cut him off.

”Yes. She was my grandfather’s sister. She belonged to our royal Zarok clan. After she committed such a taboo, she was killed along with her husband.

Their son — Demon Lord Raze remained among us demons and eventually became the strongest Demon Lord of his time.”

”After the death of my grandfather’s sister the mother of Demon Lord Raze — the rules of our clan became even stricter.

All marriages were forced upon the younger generation so that no one else would dare commit the same kind of taboo she did.”

”While Demon Lord Raze was still alive, those rules weren’t enforced as strictly because of his influence. But after he was killed and my father took power, everything changed.

All kinds of harsh regulations were put in place regarding marriage and bloodline purity.”

Nyxara’s expression twisted with clear anger.

”And now I’m being forced to marry some fat pig from the Sloth Clan. They’re also one of the royal clans, and my father insists I marry one of those piggies.

I don’t want to get married — especially not under these disgusting rules.” She stomped her foot hard on the ground in rage. The earth trembled beneath the force of her anger.

Nova watched her carefully. So the demon world also had strict political marriage customs similar to the human world? And from the look on her face, she was truly furious about it.

{ What did you expect? } Liya remarked. { Things aren’t always the same as the fantasies you read about in your previous world. }

Nyxara finally stopped stomping and looked straight at Nova. ”So... to escape this fate, you will become my husband and return with me. That way, I won’t have to marry that pig.”

”Whaa—?!”

Nova was completely baffled by her words. Was she serious? Did she really expect him to agree to that? Wouldn’t he just be killed the moment they returned?

He was still far too weak, and it felt like she was only planning to use him as a convenient scapegoat. Nyxara saw the clear hesitation on Nova’s face and continued,

”You don’t have to worry about being killed. I’ll protect you. That’s exactly why I came to the Fourth Level and trained here for the last hundred years. Now... I am finally a Sovereign.”

Her crimson eyes locked onto his. ”And it’s not like I’m asking for your opinion. This is your only option. Either you agree, or I’ll kill you.

You’ve already had your way with me, so what’s the problem? You should feel honored that you’re getting the role of my husband... even if it’s only an act. After all, I’m going to become the next strongest Demon Queen.”

She lifted her chin slightly.

”In my generation, no one is stronger than me. I’m also the third most powerful demon capable of using Space affinity to this extent.”

Liya’s voice immediately chimed in with clear amusement.

{ She’s right, you know. From the way I see it, this is your only real chance of getting out of here. You get to be the husband of a future Demon Queen.}

{ You might not realize it yet, but being a Sovereign is a very big deal. What’s the problem? You’re getting a powerful mommy as your wife~ }

Will you stop joking... Nova thought back irritably. This isn’t as simple as you make it sound. But... you’re also right. I don’t really have a choice here. I’ll just have to see it through.

He looked at Nyxara and finally spoke.

”...Alright. I’ll agree to your proposal so you don’t have to kill me.” He paused for a moment before adding carefully,

”But don’t you think we should prepare a proper story? You’re going to bring back an unknown King Realm demon and suddenly claim that you’re married... and that this man is your husband, Nova?”

”Oh, that?” Nyxara replied casually. ”No one will question it too deeply. I’ll simply say that I found you in the human world. Many demons live outside the Abyss as spies, after all.”

”I’ll tell them that we met there and fell in love. Since you also possess a royal bloodline, I’ll make up a story that you were blessed by the Demon God himself.”

She continued without pause.

”Your bloodline doesn’t match any existing royal demon clan, so that will actually work in our favor. It will help prove the claim. As for the story you told me earlier... just say that the woman who raised you never revealed anything about being a spy.”

”If you give them a name, it will only create unnecessary problems. You already meet all the important criteria — you are a pure demon, you possess a royal bloodline, and...”

she paused for a brief moment, a faint blush appearing on her cheeks before she quickly hid it, ”...you are handsome.”

Nova raised an eyebrow at that but chose not to comment. Nyxara continued, her tone turning more serious.

”Although you are still very weak, that is normal considering how young you are. It doesn’t matter. I will always be by your side. No one will be able to do anything to you.”

”My father loves me very much. If he tries anything, I’ll simply threaten him by saying that I’ll kill myself if he harms my husband.”

Nyxara was genuinely happy. She finally had a good chance of escaping this arranged marriage.

She wouldn’t have to marry that pig anymore, and she had finally become a Sovereign. Now, she would show all those idiotic brothers exactly who she was.

Nova stared at her for a moment and thought to himself, Is this woman really that desperate to escape the arranged marriage?

{ You don’t understand women at all, } Liya remarked.

Nova ignored her comment and prepared to ask Nyxara another question.

”Alright. I understand you already have a full plan, and it might even work,” Nova said with a faint smile. Now that he had something to bargain with, his tone became more confident.

”But you have to promise me something first. If you don’t... you can just kill me here. And then you won’t be able to escape that marriage.”

Nyxara’s eyes immediately turned cold again as she listened to his words.

”...What is it?”
