Marvel: All My Incarnations Are S-Class Villainesses

Chapter 55: Chapter 55: A Junior Sister Arrives at Kamar-Taj

Lux placed the Sling Ring on her index and middle fingers and closed her eyes.

Where to go?

Hmm... let’s go to Master Ancient One’s side.

Lux raised her hand, her posture even a bit non-standard, like a child doodling, as she casually made a swiping motion in the air.

”It’s alright, the first time usually doesn’t even produce a spark...”

Mordo was just about to offer some words of comfort.

Hum—Whoosh!

A portal made of orange sparks slowly opened in front of Lux!

Because of the blessing of the Light element, pure white holy light flowed around the edges of the portal.

At first glance, the portal seemed to have turned platinum-gold.

In the center of that platinum-gold halo, like a picture frame, the Ancient One’s calm and indifferent profile was clearly reflected.

The air suddenly went silent.

Mordo stood with his mouth open, the second half of his sentence—”come out”—stuck firmly in his throat.

He looked at his own large hands, weathered and covered in thick calluses.

Then he looked at Lux’s small hands, as delicate as scallion whites, looking as if they had never touched a drop of dishwater.

He suddenly began to doubt his life choices.

We work from dawn to dusk every day, memorizing incantations and bearing the risk of magical backlash... what on earth is it all for?

Heavens, open your eyes and look!

Is this what you call fairness?!

”Is it like this?” Lux opened her eyes, looked at the Ancient One through the portal, and then looked innocently at the now-petrified Mordo, ”Master Mordo, there shouldn’t be any problem with how I drew it, right?”

Inner monologue: My talent is going to blind you mortals.

Mordo: ”...”

[villainess value +6]

Asking? She’s still asking?

Do you not have eyes?

You freaking drew it rounder than mine, and you’re still asking?

Are you really just chasing me down to kill me?

Is this fun?!

This girl couldn’t be doing this on purpose, could she?

Mordo took a deep breath, ultimately managing to suppress the urge to swear with his cultivated refinement.

”No... no problem.”

After saying that, he turned around and looked up at the sky at a forty-five-degree angle, not wanting the tears in the corners of his eyes to fall.

Don’t ask; if you ask, it’s because my eyes were just flashed and haven’t recovered yet.

”Well done.”

Watching this scene, the smile in the Ancient One’s eyes grew deeper. She even gave her face by stepping through Lux’s portal to stand beside her.

This kind of talent was exactly what the Ancient One wanted to see.

”Lux,” the Ancient One walked up to the girl, beginning to entice her with grand promises.

”You possess astonishing magical intuition, but portals are just the basics. Kamar-Taj has even more miraculous magic—for instance, the Mirror Dimension that can fold cities, the Eldritch Whips that can both defend and attack, and Astral Projection that allows the soul to travel the Universe...”

”If you are willing to stay, all of these... can be learned.”

Hearing these cool-sounding terms, Lux’s eyes turned into stars.

In far-off Queens, Sumire was so excited she rolled right off the sofa.

Learn! I must learn!

Only a fool wouldn’t take advantage of such a good thing—getting skills for free without spending a penny!

Anyway, if Lux learns them, it’s basically the same as Sumire learning them!

”I’m willing!” Lux answered loudly, her voice crisp and pleasant.

Only Mordo, standing nearby and listening to this energetic response, felt that the days to come... might be even darker... Not long after, Lux returned to her room holding a brand-new set of apprentice uniforms.

Although everyone present—whether it was the Ancient One or Mordo—knew in their hearts that with the talent and strength Lux had just displayed, she didn’t need to start from the most basic apprentice level, Lux decided to start as an apprentice to show her respect for local customs.

Meanwhile, Sumire in Queens wasn’t idle either.

She looked at the shop interface, gritted her teeth, hardened her heart, and clicked purchase on the [Spellthief Lux (Skin)].

[Purchase Successful!]

This skin not only changed her appearance, but most importantly, it came with attributes—greatly increasing reading speed and learning ability.

For Lux, who was about to start her ”postgraduate life,” this was practically a god-tier item.

A moment later, the door opened.

Lux walked out.

Everyone’s eyes lit up... of course, this time it wasn’t from being flashed.

Lux had cleverly mixed the apprentice uniform with her new skin.

The originally loose apprentice top became more form-fitting, covered by a brown short cape with a hood. On her lower body were tight-fitting dark leather pants paired with a pair of brown leather boots for easy movement, outlining her long, straight leg lines.

The most eye-catching thing was the staff in her hand.

The originally magnificent platinum staff had been put back into the inventory.

In its place was a wooden staff formed from twisted ancient tree branches, its tip brimming with light magic.

This outfit had less of the delicate air of a noble daughter and more of the free-spiritedness and low profile of a Spellthief mage.

It was as if she were no longer a high-and-mighty foreign princess, but a good student who had truly integrated into Kamar-Taj.

Lux shyly tugged at the edge of her hood, waved at the Ancient One, and spun around: ”Master Ancient One, how is this outfit? Is it a bit... strange?”

[simulation value +36]

Before the Ancient One could reply, the air on the training grounds seemed to freeze for a moment.

The young apprentices who were originally practicing hard at combat stopped their movements in unison.

How was this strange? This was practically cheating!

In this temple full of white robes, red robes, and bald heads, a beautiful blonde girl had suddenly appeared, possessing both the coolness of a ranger and the elegance of a noble.

Her lethality was comparable to a nuclear weapon!

Someone swallowed hard, and the sound was exceptionally loud in the silent square.

The Ancient One also smiled slightly: ”Very cute, and it suits you well.”

Rumble—

Beside them, Mordo felt as if the sky had collapsed.

Cute?

He had followed the Ancient One in cultivation for so many years and had heard her evaluate others as ”talented,” ”having wisdom roots,” ”having a resilient heart,” or even ”beyond saving,” but he had never heard this Sorcerer Supreme use the word ”cute” to describe someone!

Master Ancient One, have you forgotten your cold and aloof persona?!

Before Mordo could recover from his shock, the Ancient One turned and left, seemingly intending to leave space for the young people to interact.

As soon as the Ancient One left, the apprentices who had been too intimidated by the Sorcerer Supreme’s majesty to move felt as if their seals had been broken.

They swarmed forward with a whoosh.

”Hello! I’m Jack, from London!”

”Junior Sister... your clothes are really beautiful!”

”Um, how did you make that light ball just now? Can you teach me?”

The young men and women, their faces flushed, scrambled to introduce themselves to Lux, their eyes filled with undisguisable admiration.

Lux’s passive ability, named ”Illumination Affinity” but actually functioning as a ”Female Lead Halo,” was indeed no joke.

Standing not far away, Mordo looked at the chaotic training ground, his face as black as the bottom of a pot.

Where was the discipline? Where was the dignity?

Where was the freedom from desire that practitioners should have?!

And where was Miss Lux’s phone number?! (Cross this one out)
