Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1609: Chapter 991: Foundation Establishment Grand Ceremony (Part 2)

Moreover, after this, Qingli Immortal City is likely unable to receive support from White Cloud Immortal City, especially in terms of upgrading the rank of the Spirit Vein. White Cloud Immortal City will undoubtedly cease its investment in Qingli Immortal City.

Therefore, Qingli Immortal City will not have much development potential in the future and can probably only maintain the status quo.

This has little impact on the Spirit Source Land, as after Yang Zhenshan went into seclusion, the Spirit Source Land began retracting its external forces and instead focused on enhancing its internal strength.

It was yet another sunny day.

In the Red Sleeve Pavilion at Flame Mountain, Hong Fuxiu sat cross-legged on a soft mat, eyes closed, cultivating.

After Kou Ta and Hong Fuxiu joined the Spirit Source Land, they each chose a place within it as their cultivation ground.

Hong Fuxiu naturally chose the place with the highest Fire Vein rank at Flame Mountain, and Kou Ta followed her there.

Hong Fuxiu took over a mountain peak, building the Red Sleeve Pavilion, while Kou Ta constructed the Six Treasures Pavilion at the foot of the mountain; the husband-and-wife duo made quite a pair.

Of course, Kou Ta didn’t abandon the choice of a better cultivation site just for Hong Fuxiu. As an Artifact Refiner, his cultivation did not require any particular spiritual energy attribute, as long as it was abundant.

The spiritual energy at Flame Mountain also reached the level of Second Rank Top Grade, sufficient for their cultivation needs.

A stream of Tunneling Light descended on the outer corridor of the Red Sleeve Pavilion, and the visitor was none other than Kou Ta.

Kou Ta was still the same, tall and sturdy, appearing majestic yet simple.

”Madam, we should go to the Disciple Residence!”

Kou Ta said softly.

Inside the room, Hong Fuxiu slowly opened her eyes, still clad in red, looking glamorous yet assertive.

Opening the door and stepping out of the pavilion, Hong Fuxiu, upon seeing Kou Ta, showed a radiant smile.

”Is the gift ready?”

”It’s ready; as you said, I exchanged a Heart Grass at the Merit Hall!” Kou Ta took out a jade box and opened it, revealing a flower with purple leaves and a red root inside.

”Then let’s go!”

Hong Fuxiu accepted the jade box and smiled.

The Heart Grass is a Second Order Spiritual Medicine with heart-clarifying effects; it’s not highly precious but still valuable, needing eight thousand Merit Points for an exchange at the Merit Hall.

The two of them flew side by side towards the Spiritual Spring Mountain Plateau, and moments later, they arrived at the disciple residence on the west side of the plateau.

The Disciple Residence was bustling, with many cultivators coming and going.

Just as the two landed, a few young cultivators approached and saluted, ”Greetings to the two elders!”

”The two elders, please enter!”

Led by the young cultivators, they entered a courtyard inside the Disciple Residence.

The courtyard was even livelier, with many familiar faces present.

Xuanzhen, Yang Jizhen, Ma Qiuyan, Cui Yang, Ning Yun, Zhang Hexuan, Bai Xiaoyun, and Li Shangyuan, among other Foundation Establishment cultivators, were all there.

Bai Xiaoyun and Li Shangyuan had also joined the Spirit Source Land and became elders of the Ziwei Tower Immortal Hall.

This was decided by Yang Zhenshan.

Bai Xiaoyun had been with the Yang family for over twenty years. During this time, she mainly stayed at Qingli Immortal City. Though she wasn’t of much help, she focused on cultivation, ignored external affairs, and honed her disposition well.

Yang Zhenshan thought highly of her and thus had her join the Spirit Source Land, advancing her from a Guest Elder of the Yang family to an Immortal Hall Elder.

Li Shangyuan, after successfully establishing his foundation, joined Spirit Source Land with Xuanzhen’s support.

Primarily because Li Shangyuan joined the Wuzhen Taoist Palace, now serving as the Palace Master in the Sea of Spirit.

The gathering was due to Li Jian’an’s Foundation Establishment ceremony.

Last year, Li Janning successfully established her foundation, and this year, Li Jian’an followed suit.

With the sisters establishing their foundations successively, the Spirit Source Land hosted two Foundation Establishment ceremonies in a row.

”Sister Hong, you’re here!”

Upon seeing Hong Fuxiu, Ma Qiuyan immediately came to greet her with a bright smile.

”Mm!” Hong Fuxiu responded softly, yet a blush appeared on her face.

Seeing her like that, Ma Qiuyan pulled her aside and whispered, ”How is it?”

”I don’t know yet!” Hong Fuxiu replied.

”What do you mean you don’t know, don’t you know if you’re pregnant?”

”There seems to be a bit of a movement, but I’m not sure if it will succeed!”

”Don’t worry, my method will definitely work. My master personally refined this Childbirth Pill, no problem guaranteed!” Ma Qiuyan said with bright, expectant eyes.

”What Childbirth Pill, it’s the Yang Harmony Pill.” Hong Fuxiu answered irritably.

The so-called Yang Harmony Pill is actually called Yin Yang Harmony Pill, with its main function being balancing yin and yang. It was originally a very normal elixir, but Ma Qiuyan used it as a fertility aid.

Of course, referring to it as a fertility aid isn’t incorrect either.

It’s far more troublesome for cultivators to conceive than ordinary people, especially those above Foundation Establishment stage — it’s nearly impossible.

The reason is simple: due to cultivation, most cultivators experience restrained Essence Qi with an imbalance of Yin and Yang.

Restrained Essence Qi acts to conserve essence, so women face difficulties ovulating, and men find it hard to release essence, making it harder for egg and sperm to combine.

Women even don’t have menstrual cycles, which is not menopause but due to restrained Essence Qi, freeing female cultivators from such troubles.

As for imbalance of Yin and Yang, it’s even easier to understand; Hong Fuxiu’s cultivation technique is Fire Attribute, specifically Nanming Lihuo, naturally leading to excess Yang Qi.

While the issue of restraining Essence Qi can be controlled, the imbalance of Yin and Yang can’t solely rely on oneself.

Thus, for most Foundation Establishment cultivators, it’s quite difficult to conceive children.

Previously, as Hong Fuxiu and Kou Ta roamed far and wide, the thought of having children never crossed their minds.

In recent years, they settled in the Spirit Source Land, and seeing many children with spiritual apertures there kindled Hong Fuxiu’s maternal longing.

So, in the past couple of years, Hong Fuxiu aspired to have a son, and having been through it before, Ma Qiuyan naturally shared a few pointers.

Thus, they often gathered to discuss and research on having children.

”Hehe, just rest assured, this method will surely succeed! One Childbirth Pill per month, and I guarantee you’ll conceive within half a year!” Ma Qiuyan laughed.

She wasn’t making empty promises; it was a conclusion drawn from numerous trials.

The Yin Yang Harmony Pill genuinely has fertility-enhancing effects; she’s already used this technique to help many people, significantly contributing to the population growth in the Spirit Source Land.

However, she had only assisted Qi Refinement cultivators or Golden Body Realm Martial Artists in the past; helping a Foundation Establishment cultivator was new.

While the two of them were exchanging whispered words, Kou Ta was chatting leisurely with Xuanzhen, Yang Jizhen, and others.

”Has there been any news from White Cloud Immortal City recently?” Kou Ta asked Xuanzhen.

”Well, there is some news which may or may not be useful to you!” replied Xuanzhen.

”What news?”

”The Ten Thousand Treasures Store is planning to move to True Yang Immortal City!”

Kou Ta was taken aback, ”When?”

”The specific timing isn’t clear yet, but the Ten Thousand Treasures Store is already making preparations!” said Xuanzhen.

Kou Ta pondered for a moment and nodded slightly, ”It makes sense; given White Cloud Immortal City’s current decline, the Ten Thousand Treasures Store certainly won’t stay there!”

Even though White Cloud Immortal City is in decline, it remains a large Immortal City.

However, for the Ten Thousand Treasures Store, relocation is a necessity, as it focuses on commerce.

Of course, even after relocating to True Yang Immortal City, the Ten Thousand Treasures Store will maintain a branch in White Cloud Immortal City.

The relocation indicates a shift in focus for the Ten Thousand Treasures Store within the Wanhua Western Region, not an abandonment of White Cloud Immortal City.

This does impact White Cloud Immortal City, but not significantly.

”Do you want to go back and take a look?” Xuanzhen asked.

”I think I’ll pass!” replied Kou Ta.

He isn’t keen on returning to the Ten Thousand Treasures Store; he and Hong Fuxiu haven’t been back for years, mainly to avoid getting entangled in troubles.

With True Yang Immortal City rising and White Cloud Immortal City declining, the whole Wanhua Western Region is undergoing shifts, with countless interests and troubles intertwined.

Living well in the Spirit Source Land now, they naturally don’t wish to involve themselves in those vexing matters.

After chatting for a while, the main character appeared; accompanied by Li Janning, Li Jian’an arrived at the outer Dao Field to begin her sermon.

The Foundation Establishment ceremony wasn’t only for celebrations but also for imparting foundation establishment experiences and sharing cultivation insights.

Imparting experiences was aimed at Qi Refinement cultivators, while sharing cultivation insights was for the elders giving advice to the newly established Foundation Establishment cultivator, Li Jian’an.

This had become a custom within the Spirit Source Land.
