Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1605: Chapter 990: Sun Giant Mountain, True Yang Immortal City

Setting aside the entanglement between White Cloud True Monarch and Yellow Springs Old Ghost for the moment, on the ruins of the Sun Cave Heaven, a dozen Golden Core Cultivators were still in a great melee.

However, the fighting between them appeared much milder; it had not reached the point of fighting to the death. At most, they just crossed blows a little, probing one another.

Golden Core Cultivators are different from Foundation Establishment Cultivators. Foundation Establishment Cultivators risking their lives for a chance at Core Formation is very common, but for Golden Core Cultivators to advance another step is far too difficult, and ordinary resources can hardly bring them much improvement.

Even legendary heavenly materials and earthly treasures, or abnormal fires like True Sun Fire, still cannot bring Golden Core Cultivators too great an improvement.

On top of that, they have lifespans of several thousand years and plenty of time to gather all kinds of cultivation resources, so under normal circumstances it is rare for them to go all out.

The battle between the dozen Golden Core Cultivators revolved around the twelve Molten Rock Divine Generals; of course, their targets also included the True Sun Fire and the container that bore the True Sun Fire—the True Yang Staff.

The True Yang Staff was a Spiritual Treasure of a grade above Spiritual Artifact, its bones forged from Nine Days Pure Gold, its body cut from the mid-section of Fusang Divine Wood, with the Primordial Spirit of a Golden Crow as the attract, tempered under ten thousand years of blazing sun, thereby obtaining the origin of True Sun Fire.

The most precious treasure within the Sun Cave Heaven was this True Yang Staff.

The twelve Molten Rock Divine Generals guarded this True Yang Staff, and the True Sun Fire also originated from this very True Yang Staff.

For Golden Core Cultivators, Spiritual Treasures are the rarest of treasures.

Besides the True Yang Staff, those twelve Molten Rock Divine Generals were also rare treasures.

They were Third order puppets, and moreover Third order puppets left behind by the Sun True Sect. Even Golden Core Cultivators would covet such puppets.

So the main target that these dozen Golden Core Cultivators were fighting over was the True Yang Staff, the secondary target was the twelve Molten Rock Divine Generals, and only then came the other items and resources left within the Sun Cave Heaven.

Of course, Golden Core Cultivators also like Spiritual Artifacts and Third order Spirit Plants and the like, but these can only be considered add-ons, not the main objective.

The battle within the ruins of the Sun Cave Heaven lasted for two days and one night, until all twelve Molten Rock Divine Generals were taken down, and until the True Yang Staff was held in the hand of a young Taoist in a Yin Yang Daoist robe, holding a horsetail whisk.

”Hehe, everyone, the True Yang Staff belongs to my Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion. None of you have any objections, right?” Old Daoist Huagai held the horsetail whisk in one hand and the True Yang Staff in the other, saying with a beaming smile.

The surrounding Golden Core Cultivators looked at him, all with somewhat ugly expressions.

The tower-like Xiong Ba widened his round eyes. ”Forget it, my Demon Court won’t fight you for it!”

”Xiong Ba is magnanimous!” Old Daoist Huagai said with a cheerful smile.

Xiong Ba snorted coldly and turned to leave.

Naturally, it was not that he was magnanimous; he simply could not win the fight.

Old Daoist Huagai had Late-stage Golden Core cultivation, and the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion was best at plotting against people in the dark. Even he was extremely wary of Old Daoist Huagai.

The others looked at one another, then dispersed one after another, all giving up on the idea of competing for the True Yang Staff.

At this point, there was no meaning in continuing to fight over it.

Moreover, if they offended the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion over this, it would be a loss outweighing the gain.

After everyone left, Old Daoist Huagai flicked his horsetail whisk and put away the True Yang Staff.

”Today, this old Daoist is the biggest winner!”

The corners of his mouth split open, revealing two rows of snow-white teeth.

...

The impact brought by the fall of the Sun Cave Heaven went far beyond this. Although after two rounds of looting, the treasures left by the Sun Cave Heaven had basically been swept clean, the remaining ruins of the cave heaven were still a land of fortune.

One must know that the Sun Cave Heaven was about a thousand li across. After it fell, the Sun Cave Heaven formed a massive mountain range covering roughly a thousand li.

Within the Sun Cave Heaven there had been Spirit Veins, Spirit Ore, and Fire Veins forged by True Sun Fire. Although the True Yang Staff had already been taken, the Fire Veins forged by the True Sun Fire did not disappear.

Thus, the current Sun Giant Mountain was a vast stretch of blessed land.

A paradise for Fire Attribute cultivators.

Such a land of fortune would naturally draw the attention of many powers; many forces wanted to develop the resources on Sun Giant Mountain.

However, because so many major powers were involved, the struggle over Sun Giant Mountain stayed mainly at the negotiating table.

Sun Giant Mountain had fallen at the outer edge of the Wanhua Mountain Range, and now could be considered part of the Wanhua Mountain Range, so the Wanhua Demon Court unsurprisingly obtained the leading authority over Sun Giant Mountain.

Besides the Wanhua Demon Court, the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion and Ten Thousand Treasures Store would also be settling in Sun Giant Mountain.

As for the Unpredictable Ghost Sect, the Unpredictable Ghost Sect’s reputation was very bad. Whether it was the Wanhua Demon Court, the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion, or Ten Thousand Treasures Store, none of them wanted to bring them into the game, so they were excluded from the negotiations by these three forces at the very first moment.

Very soon, a situation formed on Sun Giant Mountain with the Wanhua Demon Court as the leading force, the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion and Ten Thousand Treasures Store as auxiliaries, and many small Golden Core Powers participating.

Yellow Springs Old Ghost ultimately failed to take down White Cloud True Monarch. On the tenth day after the Sun Cave Heaven completely fell, White Cloud True Monarch safely returned to White Cloud Immortal City.

With White Cloud True Monarch present, the Cloud Wild Alliance naturally had to step aside. White Cloud True Monarch regained control of White Cloud Immortal City without suspense.

Afterwards, Yun Ge, Yun Fan, and Yun Bi returned; as for Yun Chuan and Yun Zhe, they stayed behind in the Sun Cave Heaven.

Previously, White Cloud True Monarch had ten Disciples; now only three remained.

However, as long as White Cloud True Monarch was still alive, the White Cloud Dao would not collapse.

At worst, he would just take in some more Disciples. In a hundred years or so, White Cloud True Monarch would again command more than a dozen Disciples.
