Reborn into the 70: Turning Adversity into Her Dazzling Path

Chapter 81: Chapter 81: Zhao Si’en

Looking at this female educated youth named Zhao Si’en in front of her, Gu Lingling sincerely didn’t know what words to use to describe her feelings at this moment.

The male and female protagonists who had appeared twice in her dreams unexpectedly entered her sight on the same day without warning.

This girl with a flushed little face, blinking her big eyes and looking pitifully at her, Gu Lingling really couldn’t imagine if she could still see such clear eyes after being whatshecall it by that someone.

”Hello, comrade, I... I really didn’t mean it.” She hadn’t been watching her way and accidentally bumped into Gu Lingling earlier.

Even now, Zhao Si’en was still in a daze, not knowing what happened, only knowing that one day many people suddenly came to her home and took things away, smashed things.

Her grandparents and parents didn’t know where they were taken to.

Leaving only her and her brother, not giving them a moment to react before she was sent on a train here.

The sudden changes at home, the successive blows turned the once pampered little princess into a frightened little rabbit, Zhao Si’en was now most afraid of offending people because of her family’s background.

Especially since she had just arrived in this village and didn’t know if she would have a chance to go back.

”It’s okay, Zhao Zhiqing.” Gu Lingling shook her head, doing her best to maintain a smile, fearing she might scare this little girl, who looked only eleven or twelve years old.

”Thank you, thank you.” Zhao Si’en bowed gratefully to Gu Lingling.

”I’m Gu Lingling, I’m older than you, you can call me Sister Lingling.” Somehow, seeing Zhao Si’en like this reminded Gu Lingling of her past self at once.

Back then, she had followed Lv Guodong to a strange city, unfamiliar with the place and without money, both fearful and worried, just like Zhao Si’en now.

If it weren’t for the manager of the Overseas Chinese Hotel who took pity on her and kept her to do chores in the kitchen, she might have starved to death.

”Then Sister Lingling, you can call me Enen.” Zhao Si’en smiled sweetly, finding the title of Zhao Zhiqing rather awkward.

”Alright, Enen.” Gu Lingling smiled and nodded at her, ”Since you called me sister, I’ll be a bit presumptuous. You can listen if you want, if you think it’s not good, just pretend I didn’t say anything, okay?”

Zhao Si’en blinked her big eyes and nodded.

”I don’t know how you got here, and you don’t need to tell us, or anyone for that matter,” Gu Lingling said seriously, ”There’s something you must remember: never have the intention to harm others, but always be vigilant.”

”I understand, thank you, Sister Lingling.” Her brother had also told her this before they parted.

”Also, try to make your face look darker in the future, don’t be so white, and don’t stare wide-eyed when talking to others.” Those eyes are cute and innocent.

But bad-minded people wouldn’t think so.

”If you can’t do that, just keep your head down, alright?”

Even though she knew saying these things to a girl she had just met once was a bit inappropriate, Gu Lingling couldn’t help but want to advise her, ”Don’t run around alone, try to stay with everyone else, and if possible, stay in the educated youths’ yard.”

”Then can I... can I come to find you, Sister?” Zhao Si’en blinked her big eyes pitifully at Gu Lingling, then quickly remembered her advice and lowered her head.

She really liked this sister, although it was their first meeting, she could feel her kindness.

Her words were all for her own good.

”I’ll come to find you when I’m free, you must not walk alone, alright?”

Gu Lingling thought for a while, although she didn’t know how Zhao Si’en caught the attention of Guo Damao from the neighboring village, as long as she wasn’t alone, she should be fine.
