Reincarnated as a Lizard

Seeing the chaotic situation as both the cave alligator and cave troll were now being swarmed by the large number of monsters emerging from every corner of the cave, Scaly could not help feeling a bit worried about being able to land the killing blow on one of the two powerful monsters.

Ptsh-!

ROOOOOAR-!

Just at this moment, one of the countless monsters swarming on the cave alligator managed to pierce through its defense and stab its claw directly into one of its eyes. Blinding it on one eye, while also further weakening it to the point where it could no longer prevent the monsters swarming all around it from slowly wearing down the protective scales covering its body.

Even if it tried its best to fight back against the endless swarm of monsters, the cave alligator no longer had the same dominant aura as it had at the beginning and could only slowly begin to retreat back in the direction of the water that it had emerged from.

No longer looking to teach the monsters of the cave who was the boss, but instead putting its full attention and energy towards trying to escape alive from its current situation.

ROAR-!

Different from the cave alligator who had begun to retreat, the cave troll was still full of energy as it ripped apart and killed any monsters that dared to attack it.

Although it was also growing weaker with each passing second, its powerful recovery ability still allowed it to keep up its brazen behavior of facing off against everyone daring enough to attack it.

”...”

Observing the weakened cave alligator trying to run away and the cave troll that looked like it would be able to hold on for another few minutes without any problems, Scaly turned her attention away from the cave troll and instead focused it on the retreating cave alligator.

Maybe I should try and kill the cave alligator, this way, I might get a chance to kill both of them and grow even stronger!

Narrowing both of her eyes as she thought about this, Scaly began to feel excited thinking about how much stronger she would become if she managed to kill both the cave troll and the cave alligator.

Given that she had already reached level 13 and only needed another two levels before she could evolve again, she was certain that killing the two would allow her to evolve again. Not only that, but they might give her a chance for a better evolution that brought her closer to becoming a dragon!

Rustle~!

Hesitating for only a short moment after thinking about how much stronger she would become after killing the two powerful monsters, Scaly immediately began moving towards the weakened cave alligator with a clear killing intent present in her eyes.

Rooar-!

Bang!

Crack~!

Unaware of the small, yet deadly lizard approaching, the cave alligator let out an infuriated roar as its massive tail flew through the air and smashed into the ground. Killing over a dozen unlucky monsters in the process-

Whoosh~

Whoosh~

Whoosh~

However, not even a second after it had killed the dozen or so monsters, a new batch intent on killing the cave alligator and become a powerful monster themselves, replaced the dead monsters before they began attacking the cave alligator with all of their might.

Roar!

Realizing that it was getting nowhere no matter how many monsters it killed, the cave alligator let out a somewhat frustrated roar before it changed its approach and focused all of its strength towards escaping in the direction of the large cave lake that it could hide inside of.

Rumble~

The sound of the cave alligator tumbling through the cave in a half blind state soon alerted all of the monsters present inside the cave about the fact that the cave alligator was about to run out of energy. Meaning that its end was near!

Whoosh-!

Whoosh-!

Whoosh-!

Almost instantly, all of the more powerful monsters who had still remained hidden rushed forward from their hiding spots.

[Metal Legged Cave Spider, lvl 15]

[Large Cave Harvestman, lvl 14]

[Yellow-Red Salamander Snake, lvl 17]

Even from a glance, it was obvious that all of these monsters were more than powerful enough to contend against her to some extent, there was even an especially large snake monster that seemed to even give her a sense of danger.

[Venom Cave Spider Queen, lvl 2]

Other than that, Scaly also managed to spot the venom cave spider queen that she had encountered when she had first entered the cave among this group of powerful monsters-

[Venom Cave Spider, lvl 7]

[Venom Cave Spider, lvl 9]

[Venom Cave Spider, lvl 6]

[Venom Cave Spi...]

And from the looks of it, she had taken her entire brood out with her!

Looks like it will be harder than I thought to land the killing blow... Hmph! How dare these insignificant creatures contend with me!?

Narrowing both of her eyes as the killing inside them grew more powerful with each new monster appearing to contend with her for the killing blow, Scaly wasted no time in using all of her strength to rush towards the weakened cave alligator. Understanding that she would not be able to reach the cave alligator in time if she tried to stay hidden.

Roar!?

Also noticing the large number of monsters suddenly emerging from the dark and rushing towards it, the cave alligator realized that it wouldn’t be able to escape into the water in time.

Not only that, but it also realized that the strength of the newly emerged monsters far exceeded the monsters who had attacked it so far. Even if it had its full strength available, it would still take some time to take them down, let alone now that it was heavenly injured and had gone blind on one of its eyes!

ROOAR!

Understanding how bad its current situation was, the cave alligator did not give up, but was instead filled with anger as its killing intent exploded all around it. Momentarily scaring off the weaker monsters who had been attacking it so far.
