Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

Su Zhi walked back to his room alone.

Toward the end of the dinner, the atmosphere had soured.

Perhaps because he knew how formidable their upcoming opponents were, Liu Yuhang had suddenly grown much more somber.

Cao Mingyu, ever the observant one, remained silent.

Su Zhi was also feeling immense pressure, so he left early.

He didn’t want her to know what state he was in.

When he reached the door to 304, Su Zhi stopped instinctively.

The door was ajar, and he could see inside—

Fang Yuan was sitting cross-legged on the floor, cultivating his Beast Taming Space through Meditation.

floated behind Fang Yuan. The bed, wardrobe, nightstand, and other objects in the room were all levitating, yet they remained perfectly steady.

This was a training method for Pet Beasts with the Telekinesis Attribute, using Telekinesis to control and levitate objects.

For a first-year-level Pet Beast, levitating an object five times its own weight was already considered excellent.

But based on 004’s current performance, it was levitating objects weighing at least twenty times its own weight.

However, there’s a limit to everything. This kind of overloaded training caused irreversible damage to a Pet Beast’s lifespan.

Upon seeing his friend, Yu Bao’s eyes lit up, and he wagged his tail.

He was about to call out to her, but upon seeing the cold look in 004’s eyes, he lowered his tail sadly.

Yu Bao read resistance and pain in her eyes. She was forcing herself to shut down, to let her world shrink until only training remained.

And as the Beast Tamer telepathically linked to Yu Bao, Su Zhi naturally felt everything his Pet Beast was feeling.

”Sorry, I forgot to close the door.”

Fang Yuan slowly opened his eyes and walked to the doorway.

’He knew Fang Yuan had actually left the door open on purpose for him to see. After all, with a personality like his, how could he possibly forget to close it for no reason?’

”By the way, 004’s training is always like this. I arrange tasks several times the normal training load to push her limits.

”Even if she shows discomfort and pain, I force her to continue training until all tasks are completed.”

Fang Yuan said, his face expressionless.

”Now that you’ve been exposed to our ’deformed’ training methods, what are your thoughts? Or are you planning to debate me again?”

Su Zhi looked him in the eye. ”Debates are pointless.”

”I’m glad you can understand that principle.”

Fang Yuan remained expressionless.

”Debates have never meant anything, and neither has sentimentality. Only winning and losing—that is the ultimate meaning of everything.”

Then, he closed the door.

The gap in the doorway shrank, and shrank, and Fang Yuan’s figure became a narrowing sliver in Su Zhi’s vision.

Only his eyes remained cold and hard to the very end.

”See you in the finals. If you can make it that far.”

CLICK.

The door clicked shut, and Fang Yuan’s final glance vanished.

’Tsk, this won’t work either. It’s so fucking stupid...’

Su Zhi scribbled and crossed things out on his draft paper, finally letting out a long sigh. He crumpled the sheet into a ball and threw it on the floor.

The floor of his room was littered with crumpled paper balls—all discarded tactics.

Su Zhi had looked up countless matches, but he still couldn’t find a way to break the deadlock.

Based on the available intel, 004 and Yu Bao had similar Energy Values.

Yu Bao had a slight advantage in terms of Attributes, while 004’s skills and tactics were more comprehensive.

Furthermore, against 004—a close-combat specialist with the Fighting Attribute—the Earth Element’s resistance to the Fighting Attribute was negligible.

No matter how he looked at it, 004’s chances of winning seemed higher.

Su Zhi heaved a long sigh and turned his head to see Yu Bao practicing Desert Concealment and Sand Shadow Guard.

He froze for a moment, suddenly remembering that Yu Bao had been training nonstop ever since they got back.

It was seven o’clock then, and it was already past ten now. If he remembered correctly, Yu Bao hadn’t taken a single break in between.

Su Zhi opened his mouth, wanting to tell Yu Bao not to train so blindly, but then he thought about his own current state and suddenly felt he had no right to say anything.

There was nothing more despairing than knowing you were about to face an unbeatable opponent.

Su Zhi clenched his fists, unsure of what to do.

TAP TAP TAP.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Recognizing the familiar rhythm, Su Zhi quickly rubbed his face to make himself look more energetic before opening the door.

A girl with long, bright white hair stood in the doorway, her hands behind her back. She looked at him, lightly biting her lip.

”Is something wrong?”

he asked, his voice as calm as he could manage.

Noticing Shao Ya’s gaze go past him, Su Zhi looked behind him as well... and saw the floor littered with crumpled paper balls.

”...” Su Zhi hung his head.

Shao Ya let out a breath and smiled gently. ”You seem a bit of a mess. How about I help you clean up?”

”Maybe you shouldn’t...”

”Be good, Su Baby.”

Shao Ya steered Su Zhi to the side, placed Yu Bao in his arms, and closed the door.

Then, the young woman rolled up her sleeves, revealing a pair of fair, slender forearms, and tied her long hair into a neat high ponytail.

The cleanup officially began.

First, she cleared away the scattered paper balls. Next, she meticulously cleaned the crevices of the sofa, the corners of the room, the space under the table, and other places where dirt easily accumulated.

After that came the coffee table. Shao Ya reorganized the cluttered items on it, arranging them by category.

Finally, she smoothed out the messy sofa cover and bedsheets.

”All done!”

Having completed the entire process as smoothly as flowing water, Shao Ya flexed her fingers.

Su Zhi, holding Yu Bao, watched the entire process in a bit of a daze.

It was the first time he had ever seen her do housework, and he was surprised by how skilled she was. After all, with her family’s wealth, hiring a house full of servants would have been no problem at all.

While he was lost in thought, the young woman walked up to him. With her hands behind her back, she took a step forward, tilted her head, and smiled at him.

”Well? Is your cluttered mind feeling a little clearer now?”
