Chapter 1186: Chapter 509: Jin Chanzi Attains Nirvana; Zhao Feng Meets Sun Wukong

Faced with Jin Chanzi’s sudden question, Guanyin was momentarily stunned. A fleeting look of surprise crossed her usually composed face, and a hint of confusion appeared in her eyes, as if she didn’t know how to respond.

Evidently.

Jin Chanzi’s intention was crystal clear; he wanted Guanyin to closely examine the Buddhism of the Western Ling Mountain and the Great Qin Buddhism, to find out where the differences between the two truly lay.

However, at this moment, Guanyin felt her mind go blank, not knowing where to begin.

Among the many Bodhisattvas of the Buddhist Sect, when it comes to those who truly care for all living beings, who deeply understand their suffering and widely show kindness, the Bodhisattva Guanyin is certainly among them; she genuinely harbors a compassionate heart.

”Western Buddhism...”

Jin Chanzi slowly began, his voice calm yet full of meaning: ”Though it claims to universally save all beings, in reality, it turns a blind eye to the suffering of the masses.”

”The so-called salvation is merely a form of disguised enslavement.”

”On the Western Continent, countless beings devote themselves to Buddhism, yet how many among them truly grasp the essence of Buddhist Law?”

”They yearn for the Western Pure Land, but ultimately become mindless followers, thoroughly brainwashed by Buddhism, losing themselves.”

The words reached this point.

Jin Chanzi paused slightly, his face showing firm belief in the Great Qin Buddhism, and continued: ”In the Great Qin, such absurd things will never happen.”

”Buddha has no form, and the true essence of Buddhist Law lies in the genuine salvation of all beings.”

”In the Qin Territory, monks are truly people who aspire to Buddha; they are not the claws of oppression on mortals, but the guides for all beings.”

”The Qin monks include ascetic monks who willingly endure their own hardships, using their resilient will to temper body and mind, solely to relieve the suffering of all beings, and there are worldly monks who actively engage in the world, using their knowledge to alleviate people’s distress.”

”They delve into the populace, using Buddhist Law to heal and cure the sick and injured, and with compassion, they enlighten wrongdoers.”

”But upon reflection of the West, those lofty Buddhas—do they truly understand the suffering endured by all beings?”

”Have they ever truly set foot among the people, experienced their joys and sorrows?”

”Daoist friend.” Jin Chanzi pressed his hands together, his gaze sincere: ”Hearing is one thing, seeing is believing.”

”In the days on Spirit Mountain, I once thought I understood true Buddhism, but when I first stepped into the Great Qin, I was astonished to realize what true Buddhism actually was.”

Jin Chanzi was full of affirmation towards Great Qin Buddhism, perhaps in his heart he believed that the true authentic Buddhism resided in Great Qin.

”Buddha, though originating from the West,”

Guanyin furrowed her brow slightly, thinking for a moment before slowly speaking: ”Perhaps the Great Qin Buddhism you follow has indeed carved out a unique path, but Western Buddhism, after all, is the original orthodoxy, with deep roots and a long tradition.”

”Buddhism indeed has its origins in the West,”

Jin Chanzi’s gaze was calm, responding unhurriedly: ”But the true path of development for Buddhism is not in the West.”

”The true Buddhism is in the Eastern Qin.”

”Daoist friend, your coming to Qin must have been specially to meet with me, aiming to guide the opening of great tribulation, leading me to once again step into reincarnation, isn’t it?”

”During the upcoming period, I suggest you to closely observe the Great Qin Buddhism, watch carefully how the monks of Qin practice Buddhism.”

”As someone who harbored compassion for all beings during your time on Ling Mountain, I’m convinced that once you truly witness the differences between Great Qin Buddhism and Ling Mountain Buddhism, you’ll naturally understand which kind of Buddhism truly aligns with all beings, guiding them towards salvation.”

Guanyin, after listening, was suddenly filled with complex emotions, and a hint of struggle appeared in her eyes.

Faced with Jin Chanzi’s words, she did not know how to respond.

”Daoist friend.”

Jin Chanzi smiled slightly, speaking calmly: ”I am nearing the end of my life in this incarnation.”

”Being able to see you once more before departing, there are no regrets in this life.”

After speaking.

Jin Chanzi pressed his hands together, and his expression became increasingly serene.

The next moment.

Jin Chanzi’s Primordial Spirit suddenly transformed into countless splendid golden lights, like specks of stardust slowly drifting into the void.

The golden lights shimmered with a gentle glow, seemingly telling the story of Jin Chanzi’s lifelong dedication and pursuit of Buddhist Law.

Meanwhile.

A crystal-clear Shariputra appeared out of thin air, emanating a mild luster.

All the Buddha Power cultivated by Jin Chanzi in this life, gradually merged into this Shariputra.

Subsequently, the Shariputra enveloped Jin Chanzi’s Primordial Spirit, decisively flying towards the direction of the Six Paths of Reincarnation, towards reincarnation, to be reborn once again.

”Amitabha.”

Watching as Jin Chanzi’s Primordial Spirit entered reincarnation, Guanyin also couldn’t help bringing her hands together solemnly, performing a Buddhist ceremony.

At the same time, within the temple below, the atmosphere was solemn and grave.

At the moment Jin Chanzi’s Primordial Spirit entered reincarnation, his mortal physical body, originally holding prayer beads in its right hand, suddenly stopped, and the previously faint flicker of life extinguished instantly.

Immediately, his physical body gradually leaned forward, his head slightly bowed, thereby attaining Nirvana.

At this moment.

The monk who had been serving beside him caught a trace of grief in his eyes. He did not panic but took a deep breath, and then shouted loudly: ”Master Xuanzang has attained Nirvana!”

This call, like the resounding toll of a bell, echoed throughout the entire Buddhist temple, and the voice was full of endless sorrow and reluctance.

Hearing this news, the monks in the temple were all taken aback, their faces showing expressions of shock and sorrow.

They quickly stood in formation, joined their hands in prayer, and in unison chanted: ”Amitabha!”
