My Youth Began With Him

“Yu, how can you still be hung up on her? How bad do you want me to feel?” Upon hearing Su Yu’s remarks, Mrs. Su felt like someone had pricked her heart with a needle.

“Come on, Mom, don’t feel bad for me. Enjoy your life, okay? I know what to do.”

Yu, please stop waiting for her, okay? Mian already told you that even if her husband died, she would never marry you. Please move on, okay?” Mrs. Su tried to persuade Su Yu.

Even An, a bystander, couldn’t help but feel bad.

Su Yu took another bite of corn and chewed slowly. “Mom, it’s not that I don’t want to, and I get where you’re coming from, but… Forget it, can we talk about something else?”

Then, he fell silent. Placing down the com on the cob, he stood up. “Mom, I need to go back to the company, I’ll come to see you another time.”

An immediately stood up and followed Su Yu out.

“Drive me home, then you can go home,” Su Yu said in the passenger seat. He looked tired.

An knew that his boss wasn’t in a good mood, so he didn’t say anything else.

On the way home, Su Yu took out his phone and opened WeChat. After some thought, he wrote:

“We try to help others the way others try to help us. However, we can’t help but torture ourselves. It’s one thing trying to persuade someone else, but when it comes to our own matters, we’re constantly stuck in a dead-end. It’s true what they say: I’ve heard many wise remarks, but still fail in life.”

Su Yu rarely posted so emotionally on WeChat; most men didn’t. This stuff was usually reserved for women like Zhu Lingling, Huo Mian, and Jiang Xiaowei.

Therefore, less than a minute after Su Yu posted this on WeChat, his friend circle went crazy.

Wei Liao: “Are you hacked?”

Tang Chuan: “I know you miss me, but this is too much! How bored are you?”

Some rich guy: “Young Master Su, want to go out for a drink tonight?”

Some rich official: “President Su, are you alright? I have some girls for you, are you interested?”

Jiang Xiaowei: “What’s the situation? Does anyone know what’s going on?”

Ni Yang: “President Su is always depressed for a few days every month.”

Zhu Lingling: “So, your President Su’s period came?”

Nie Lingxuan: “President Yu, we here at Imperial Star will always have your back!”

Cotton Candy: “President Su, you’ll always be the best.”

Some director: “Bro, wanna come to visit me in Jing City? I’ll show you a good time!”

Some jewelry company: “Mr. Su, we have some new diamonds reserved for you, you should come to check them out sometime!”

President of some car company: “President Su, I bet you’re sick of your Lamborghini, aren’t you? We have an Audi Pikes Peak Quattro here, are you interested?”

Tang Chuan replied to that president: “Mr. Xu, are you trying to dupe Yu out of money? Those cars cost so much!” President of some car company, “The problem is, President Su has more money than he can ever spend!”

Su Yu didn’t respond to any of these comments.

Pudding: “Handsome Su, tell me, who bullied you? I’ll avenge you!”

Little Bean: “My sister’s right, we’ll avenge you!”

Su Yu smiled at the twins’ comments. He was just about to put his phone down when he saw Huo Mian’s reply. This was what she said.
