My Youth Began With Him

“What are you doing?” Huo Mian thought Su Yu definitely bought the twins some food for the New Year and was asking her to bring them with her when she goes to the hot spring hotel. However, when she saw them, she knew that they weren’t something as simple as food.

A medium-sized white truck was parked behind Su Yu’s black Lamborghini, and there were many boxes on top of the truck.

“It’s commodities for you guys to use over the New Year,” Su Yu answered indifferently.

“We’re in the twenty-first century, bro. Is there a need to prepare New Year commodities like this? We can buy anything we’re short of at the supermarket, okay? The hotel is also very well-prepared.” Huo Mian didn’t know whether she should laugh or cry.

“Supermarkets don’t sell these things and neither does the hotel,” Su Yu replied firmly.

“For example?” Huo Mian tilted her head to look at him.

“Just crabs alone, I prepared six boxes for you of six different species, and those are the ones that you have never tried before. They were transported by air. I put them in the food container because I was afraid they would be frozen to death from the cold weather. You have to finish eating them quickly. There are also all sorts of ice creams and cakes that Little Bean and Pudding like, such as candies, Russian rainbow tiramisu, Turkish tamarinds, and macadamia nuts. Anyhow, you guys won’t be able to find these in stores.”

“Okay, you won.” At this moment, Huo Mian was impressed by Su Yu.

How did he get a truck of New Year commodities? They were all delicious food from all over the world.

Most importantly, he still remembered that Huo Mian had a thing for crabs.

“Don’t just stay here. When you drive back to the hotel, drive in the front. I’ll have the truck follow you. By the way, I will have An drive behind you and protect you.”

“You don’t need to do that. It’s just for the New Year,” Huo Mian laughed.

“I video-chatted with Pudding just now. She said Qin Chu went back earlier and I’m afraid that you might be in danger if you go by yourself.” Su Yu looked at Huo Mian earnestly with tenderness in his eyes.

“Mr. Qin already arranged someone to protect me. I don’t need An and don’t want to bother him. He has to go home for the New Year too,” Huo Mian politely declined Su Yu’s arrangement of An.

“Great. I’m relieved as long as you’re not going back by yourself.” Su Yu nodded.

“I’ll accept the New Year commodities then. Thank you very much.” Huo Mian grinned dazzlingly.

“Um, those were prepared for you guys anyways. You’re welcome.”

“Tell Grandpa Su that we’ll be visiting him on the second day of Chinese New Year and have him prepare the red envelopes,” Huo Mian said jokingly.

“We don’t need to tell him. He prepared the red envelopes half a year ago. My old man only has the twins on his mind,” Su Yu acted jealous deliberately.

“By the way… how’s the condition of the girl named Xixi? Is it serious?” Su Yu remembered Xixi was injured.

“She’s alright. She’s not in a critical condition anymore. Did her family contact you?” Huo Mian asked.

Su Yu nodded, “Yes. Maybe because I said it, the credibility is relatively high. I called Xixi already.”

“That’s good.”

“Okay, you can get back to work. I’m leaving.”

“Wait,” Huo Mian called him quickly.

Su Yu turned around immediately.

“Thank you, Mr. Su,” Huo Mian expressed her appreciation sincerely.

“Don’t mention it,” Su Yu laughed brightly.

“Then I’ll see you on the second day of the New Year. By the way, I’ll also arrange Ni Yang’s wedding. If you have any thoughts and requests, you can contact me anytime. He’s your employee after all. This wedding will also be a grand occasion for Imperial Star.”

“I know. I’m fine leaving it with you, so you can do whatever you want,” Su Yu waved and left South Side.

Seeing this majestic man driving his black Lamborghini away, Huo Mian looked at the truck full of New Year commodities and felt a sense of guilt, not knowing what to do.

In her whole life, she had never owed anyone anything, whether it was her parents, children, or lover.

The only person she owed was this man, and it was because she might not be able to pay Su Yu back for all the favors he had done for her in her lifetime.

Before Huo Mian left South Side, she visited Xixi again.

“Sister Mian, you’re here!” Xixi seemed to be more energetic and could sit against the bed.

Rick was slicing an apple with a knife. The scene looked fairly warm.
