My Youth Began With Him

”No, I refuse to marry her… here’s the thing, Yu. Although I’m an asshole who spends most of his life in booze and women, I’m still hoping to meet my one true love… Just like you and Huo Mian, Gao Ran and Zhu Lingling, Wei Liao and Jiang Xiaowei, Rick and Xixi…” Tang Chuan said, his expression filled with anticipation.

Suddenly, Su Yu felt bad for his friend; it turned out that a heart that believed in true love was hidden under his crazy exterior.

”So… you’re going to refuse the wedding or run away?”

”I’m not sure yet, but there’s no way I’m marrying her,” Tang Chuan said with determination.

”But here’s the thing… sometimes it’s also good to marry someone from a family similar to your own. Relationships tied by mutual benefits can be better than romance. Romance can dissipate at any time, but a marriage that brings benefits to both parties involved will last a long time. That’s how powerful families manage to stay powerful for decades over. Your dad also has a point.”

”F*ck, you’re only saying this because you’re not the one being forced to marry someone you don’t love!”

Upon hearing this, Su Yu chuckled evilly…

”What would you do if Grandpa Su pressured you into marrying someone you didn’t love, forcing you to give up ton Dr. Huo?”

”Not possible. No one in the Su Family can pressure me, it’s always the other way around…”

”Fine, you win, you animal. I wanted to vent to you, but you ended up killing me with your words.”

Su Yu raised his wine glass. ”Here, let’s cheers to your impending marriage.”

”Screw you, can’t you just wish me a happy birthday?”

”Happy birthday, Young Master Tang… I wish you can be a groom and screw your bride.”

”What a great wish, haha! By the way, where’s my birthday present?”

”I knew you were going to bring that up and trick me into giving you a present,” Su Yu said, rolling his eyes at Tang Chuan.

”You’re so rich, giving me a present isn’t going to make a dent in your account. After all, you’re giving the twins a cruise ship, haha.”

”What do you want?”

”Your Sesto Elemento, what do you say?”

Tang Chuan had been eyeing Su Yu’s car for three whole years because it was limited edition and only 12 were manufactured across the world. It took a lot of effort for Su Yu to buy it in the first place.

He owned the only one in China…

Su Yu loved this car and drove it as much as he could.

”No, definitely not,” Su Yu refused immediately.

”I can buy it from you.”

”I’m not selling it…”

”You suck, you know that?”

”I’ll buy you something else, what about the newest Lambo model this year?”

”No thanks, I’m not interested…” Tang Chuan pouted.

Upon seeing his expression, Su Yu burst out in laughter.

”The twins and I are all Scorpios, born in October… you shouldn’t be so biased, alright? Hey, how about this, what if you lend me the twins’ cruise ship for a few years first? They’re still young anyway and won’t be able to ride it yet, haha,” Tang Chuan fantasized.

”Don’t even think about it, the ship was custom-manufactured for them, and the entire design is pink… That’s why it’s called The Princess…”

”You treat them like your own daughters… Hey, why didn’t you ask Huo Mian if you could be their godfather? It’s not like she’s going to refuse.”

”I don’t want to pressure her… I like things the way they are,” Su Yu said; he was happy with what he had.

”So are you going to keep being friends with her? For the next decade or more? Wait, Yu, I have a good idea, care to listen to it? It’s about you and Huo Mian,” Tang Chuan’s brain suddenly buzzed with what he felt was a great idea.
