My Youth Began With Him

“Isn’t that a good thing?” Su Yu answered faintly; he didn’t sound surprised.

“But it’s not a good thing for you, right?”

“If it’s a good thing for Huo Mian, then it’s a good thing for me,” Su Yu answered calmly.

“Young Master Su… tell me the truth, did you secretly wish that Qin Chu would never wake up?”

Tang Chuan was curious as to what Su Yu was thinking right now; after this incident, Su Yu seemed to become more mature and introverted. He also learned how to control his temper…

This was indeed magical, and it could be said that Huo Mian’s appearance completely changed Su Yu.

“Want to hear the truth?” Su Yu licked his lips and answered.

“Of course, we’ve been friends for so long, so just shoot. I won’t tell anyone anyways,” Tang Chuan said as he patted his chest confidently; then, he looked at Su Yu, ready to gossip at his answer…

Su Yu sighed slightly, and he placed his wine glass slowly onto the coffee table in front of him.

“No, not even once… rather, I hoped that Qin Chu could wake up because if he didn’t, neither would Huo Mian.”

That was the only thing Su Yu cared about…

Tang Chuan wasn’t there that day at the hospital, so he didn’t know what happened specifically. If he did, he wouldn’t be asking Su Yu that question.

Su Yu knew that if something happened to Qin Chu, Huo Mian would kill herself… Therefore, he would never wish for Qin Chu to never wake up. He was even willing to help him find the best army surgeon there was, the best hospital that existed, and the most talented team alive…

After a few days of running back and forth – he succeeded. Both Qin Chu and Huo Mian woke up…

He, however, left ever so quietly…

He never went to the hospital again after that, because he didn’t know what identity to go as. He was fine, as long as he knew that Huo Mian was fine. If he kept visiting, rumors might fly all over the place again.

Su Yu didn’t care about rumors and defamation, because to him, they were as common as a cold.

However, he didn’t want to do anything that might hurt Huo Mian, because he cared about her reputation at South Side and in society…

All he wanted was to see her smile, even if she wasn’t smiling at him.

“Holy sh*t… you’re so chivalrous… Young Master Su, please allow me to bow down to you,” Tang Chuan said as he pretended to fall to his knees.

Su Yu smiled; he knew that Tang Chuan was doing it on purpose to make him feel better…

“By the way, Wei Liao completely gave way to desire. Dr. Jiang is so scary… we don’t get to hang out with him anymore. But, I’m actually looking forward to their wedding on January 1st, oh, right, you’re the best man, right? Is Huo Mian the maid of honor?” Tang Chuan continued gossiping…

“Their wedding is still a while away, I haven’t given it much thought.” Su Yu smiled.

Just then, Jiang Tong walked up to them in a deep V-neck black dress, paired with a white fur shawl. She looked elegant and poised.

“President Su…”

As soon as she opened her mouth, Tang Chuan immediately took the hint and left…

“Yeah?” Su Yu nodded.

“Why aren’t you drinking? Are you in a bad mood?” Jian Tong asked.

“I’m fine, I’m just a little sleepy.”

“Would you like to stay at my place tonight?” Jiang Tong asked.

Su Yu fell silent, not sure what he was supposed to say…

She immediately added, “I just redecorated my place, and one of the rooms was modeled after the western-style master bedroom in your old mansion. If you don’t want to go back to your parents’ house, you can stay at mine. You can sleep upstairs, and I’ll sleep downstairs. Or, if you don’t want the paparazzi to find out, you can sleep at my mansion, and I’ll go to my other apartment.” Jian Tong was a smart girl, so her words were vague, but she obviously wanted to spend the night with him…

Su Yu glanced at her and replied nonchalantly, “No, it’s okay, I recently began liking staying at my parents’, and I’ve gotten used to it.”

“Oh…” Jian Tong was slightly disappointed.

Su Yu hadn’t had sex in a while and stayed away from all women. As a result, all female artists under Imperial Star tried their best to rise to the top by getting into his pants.

Jian Tong was an outstanding woman, but Su Yu never once touched her… which made the others suspect his sexual orientation…

However, Su Yu didn’t care about the rumors. After leaving Seductive Fox at 2 AM, he planned on going home. But for some reason, he drove all the way to South Side…

He stood outside the window and looked up towards the VIP rooms on the top floor. Suddenly, he felt the urge to go see her…

“Young Master Su, you’re here to see Dr. Huo again?” Huo Mian’s assistant knew they were friends, so she greeted him without thinking too much.

“Is she sleep?” Su Yu asked quietly.
