My Youth Began With Him

”Do you want to hear the truth?” Huo Mian asked quietly.

”Of course…”

”Okay then, I’ll tell you the truth. I don’t treat you as an enemy, but I’m also not your friend. If you do anything to hurt me or my family, then you will become my enemy. My attitude towards you depends on your attitude towards the people I care about.”

”Tsk, tsk… you didn’t have to give me such a complicated answer… your brain is too scary,” Huo Siqian exclaimed with a smile on his face…

Huo Mian couldn’t tell whether he was happy with her answer.

However, what she didn’t know was that when Huo Siqian saw Huo Mian standing healthily in front of him, all the clouds hovering over him were immediately swept away… He felt like the sun shined brighter, and his life was worth living again. He wasn’t over exaggerating or being cheesy, but that was exactly what happened…

To Huo Siqian, Huo Mian lit up his past, present, and future… She was a magnificent, dazzling existence to him that he couldn’t bear to lose… If he did, his life would turn into crap.

Like Su Yu, Huo Siqian had everything; he endured humiliation and bit the bullet, just so he could impress Jiang Hong, usurp the throne of the Huo Corporation, defeat Shen Jiani, kick out Huo Yanyan and Huo Siyi, and strip Huo Zhenghai of everything.

However, after succeeding, he didn’t feel accomplished, as if power and the Huo Corporation were his to begin with.

Huo Mian, however, was the most beautiful accident in his life… He loved this accident God created for him; she might not yet be his, but he liked her nonetheless…

Soon, the nurse came back with two delivery boys behind her, each carrying countless plastic bags…

”President Huo… I’m back. I bought a little bit of everything… Strawberries, bananas, peaches, durian, honeydew, grapes, apples, pineapple, blueberries, lychee…” It seemed like the nurse was going to recite all the fruits that existed on this earth.

Huo Siqian quickly stopped her. ”You don’t have to tell me all that, bring it up to Dr. Huo’s room,” he ordered.

”Okay.” The nurse obediently nodded; then, she led the men upstairs to Huo Mian’s room, as they staggered from the weight in their hands.

”Thank you for the fruit.” Huo Mian glanced at Huo Siqian; she felt like he could sometimes be quite nice.

Although it was a waste for him to buy 2000-yuan worth of fruit, it was a nice and heartwarming gesture. Huo Siqian may be extremely wealthy to begin with, but unlike Su Yu, he never squandered money. Therefore, his generosity was a rare and surprising sight to see.

”You should head back to your room, if you want anything, just call me. Don’t go out yourself,” Huo Siqian reminded her.

”You don’t have to be so nice to me or come see me so often,” Huo Mian said. Truth be told, she was still cautious around Huo Siqian. She would never forget that Qin Chu once told her to stay away from this man…

Qin Chu would never wrongly accuse anyone, so there had to be a reason behind his words.

”Haha… don’t think too highly of yourself. I didn’t come here to see you, I’m here to talk to Director Wu about cooperating with South Side, and I stopped by to see you.”

”Okay then… I guess I misunderstood you.” Huo Mian didn’t feel as pressured upon hearing what Huo Siqian said.

Then, Huo Mian turned around to go back to her room; she then picked out some fruit and went to wash them for Qin Chu.

”Dr. Huo… you have such a great brother…” The nurse who bought her fruit was extremely envious.

”Haha… you think so?” Huo Mian knew that Huo Siqian would never be so nice without a reason; she rather thought that he was doing this because she still had value to him…

Originally, Huo Siqian was going to head upstairs to Director Wu’s office. Ever since Qin Chu and Huo Mian’s accident, Director Wu had been spending more time at South Side. South Side, on the other hand, was doing better and better, it’s reputation almost surpassing that of the First Hospital.

However, he suddenly saw a beautiful figure in the hall; after he looked closer and found out who it was, so he walked up to her with a smile on his face…
