My Youth Began With Him

Huo Mian coughed awkwardly…

“Ahem…”

It was said that nothing ever goes according to plans. Sure enough, her original plan was to return the bullet shell.

She even told Qin Chu that, but… what could she do? Su Yu didn’t want it back…

She really didn’t have another gift for Su Yu. It’s probably difficult picking out a gift for him…

He usually received top of the line race cars, mansions, or all kinds of priceless antiques and artworks.

For his last birthday, apparently, the boss of some company wanted to please him and his family so much that he gifted him with a gigantic golden snake.

Was it because he was born on the year of the snake according to the Chinese Zodiac?

“Sorry, but if you don’t want the money, I really have nothing else,” Huo Mian explained awkwardly…

Su Yu looked down at Huo Mian, who was wearing a cute hat and thick fluffy coat.

The more he looked, the more adorable she became…

Then suddenly, without a word from her, he lifted her up with his hands… and spun her around three times…

Huo Mian was completely scared out of her wits…

Just as she was about to be dizzy, he put her down.

“Okay, I got my birthday gift,” Su Yu said matter-of-factly.

To him, a hug from Huo Mian was more than enough…

An innocent hug devoid of any unclean thoughts, all he did was hold Huo Mian up and spin her around three times.

It was completely unexpected… leaving Huo Mian speechless…

“Go home, it’s pretty cold,” Su Yu knew that he couldn’t ask her to stay longer, especially because of her current status.

Every moment they spent together was risky. If they were discovered, they wouldn’t be able to explain themselves to others.

With that, Su Yu turned and left without any hesitation…

“Su Yu!” Huo Mian suddenly shouted.

Su Yu stopped in his tracks but didn’t look back…

“Happy birthday,” Huo Mian said slowly as she gazed at Su Yu’s tall and handsome back.

Su Yu still didn’t turn back. Instead, he raised his right hand and made an ‘okay’ sign with his fingers.

He then jumped over the wall, his movements clean and crisp…

Huo Mian took out her phone and looked at the time; it was 8:20 pm.

She ran out of the neighborhood, flagged down a taxi, and left the area.

Su Yu returned, looking beyond happy.

No one really seemed to notice his absence. Only a few asked for his whereabouts, but his female assistant told them what he told her to say.

“Bring me a box of my wine and open it all.”

“Your wine, do you mean that one…?” The female assistant was quite surprised.

“Yes, that one.”

Su Yu then turned and walked away, leaving the female assistant in shock. President Su’s wine collection was priceless. Every bottle exceeded 500,000 yuan.

If each box contained 12 bottles, then each box was worth more than 6 million yuan.

… Wow, he’s really nuts…

Did something good happen to President Su? The female assistant thought to herself.

Due to Huo Mian’s visit, Su Yu felt so happy that he opened a box of priceless Lafite when he got back to the party.

The crowd became even rowdier…

Performing on the stage was Jian Tong, an actress who started off as a singer who won a singing competition.

Due to the lack of opportunities, she switched lanes and became an actress instead. She was very successful as an actress but unfortunately, it meant that she couldn’t sing as much.

She chose a very emotional song for Su Yu’s birthday – Yang Zongwei’s >.

Her voice was beautiful, captivating the attention of everyone on site…

At the song’s climax, Jian Tong gazed lovingly at Su Yu, standing not far from her.

“If you are willing to peel my heart layer by layer… you will discover and be surprised that you are my deepest secret. If you are willing to peel my heart layer by layer, your heart will ache and you’ll shed tears. As long as you can hear me, see just how much I love you, you’ll understand how the talks of you with someone else cuts into me. I hide my helplessness with jokes. Like an onion, I will always be a supporting act…”

“Is Jiang Tong confessing her love for you?” Tang Chuan laughed.

Su Yu didn’t respond. Instead, he listened quietly to the lyrics of the song. Why did it sound like it was talking about him?

Wei Liao interrupted, “Why do I feel like it’s talking about you, Master Yu?

Su Yu smiled helplessly…

Suddenly, someone shouted, “Oh no! Someone jumped off the building!”

The scream drew in everyone’s attention, making them nervous…

Quickly rising to his feet, Su Yu and the others ran towards his mansion…
