My Youth Began With Him

”Son... don’t get agitated, let’s talk this out.” Shen Jiani was heartbroken for her son.

”Why would you guys force me like that, huh? Why are you all forcing me? I didn’t take too much… I only spent 60 million. I’m the Young Master of the Huo Family, so what if I spent some money? In the past, Dad kept telling me not to waste money, so he wouldn’t give me any. When I hung out with my friends, they were always laughing at me for being stingy… I’ve had enough of it… if you want to sue me, then sue me. Let me rot in jail, life like this isn’t worth living anyway… I don’t feel like a man, so you might as well let me die… Oh, and you, Huo Siqian, I know you don’t like me; you and Huo Mian both hate me and want to see me fail… Great, call the cops, I don’t care anymore… Haha, really, I’m not scared of you anymore.” Huo Siyi’s eyes were bloodshot, as he yelled emotionally. It seemed like he was just sending the helve after the hatchet now.

”Okay, if that’s what this situation has come to, then I’ll have to call my friends at the procuratorate. You may be my brother, but business is business.” Then, Huo Siqian took out his phone and began dialing.

Shen Jiani immediately stopped him. ”President Huo… please don’t call yet.”

”Director Song, please don’t make my life harder… as the president of the Huo Corporation… I can’t play favorites. I have to be accountable towards the company.”

”Please don’t call, I will pay that money in lieu of Siyi…” Shen Jiani said, tears swimming in her eyes.

”It’s 400 million, not 40 million. Are you sure, Director Shen?” Huo Siqian smiled.

”I’ll… find a way, give me three days,” Shen Jiani said with much difficulty.

Huo Mian had never seen Shen Jiani like this…

It seemed that no matter how evil a woman was, she would still do anything for and give anything to her child.

Although providing 400 million at a time like this will help Huo Siyi out of trouble, she will lose Huo Zhenghai’s trust. After all, keeping money on the side was a cardinal sin between married couples.

Plus, 400 million yuan wasn’t a small amount; once she gave this money to the company, she probably wouldn’t have any savings left over.

Huo Siqian was sure ruthless – forcing them to give up the rook in order to save the king… It was one of the most brutal moves in chess.

He forced Shen Jiani into protecting her son, basically bleeding herself out…

In addition, she lost Huo Zhenghai’s trust; talk about killing two birds with one stone.

His goal wasn’t to put Huo Siyi in jail; his ultimate target was actually Shen Jiani.

”If that’s the case… Fine, I’m a reasonable man. I hope Director Shen is a woman of her words. 400 million yuan… in three days, okay?” Huo Siqian said slowly.

”I’ll keep my promise.”

”Mom… where do we get 400 million, are you crazy? Why would you agree to that?” Huo Yanyan lost her cool.

She knew how much savings her mother had, so she became anxious for her; 400 million was an impossible figure.

”Shut up.” Shen Jiani coldly glanced at Huo Yanyan.

Huo Zhenghai looked at Shen Jiani, with a complicated expression filled with disappointment and distrust.

Huo Siyi calmed down immediately upon hearing that his mother would help him out…

”Mom… why would you agree to pay 400 million? I only spent 60 million…” Huo Siyi was still struggling over the amount.

”Let’s talk about it at home.” Shen Jiani took a deep breath in and stood up to leave.

”Let’s call it a day. I will make sure to resolve this incident in three days.” Then, Huo Siqian ended the meeting…

Huo Zhenghai, Shen Jiani, Huo Yanyan, and Huo Siyi left the company in a hurry.

Huo Mian also headed downstairs.

”Mian.”

”What do you want?” Huo Mian turned around.

”Are you happy today?”

”Kind of.”

”Haha… I knew you would enjoy the show… What do you think of my plan?”

”Pretty ruthless,” Huo Mian commented.

”Not being ruthless to the enemies is the equivalence of being ruthless to myself.”

”Fine… everything you say makes sense, you got Huo Siyi to take the blame for everything…”

”Haha, do you want to know where the rest of the 300 million or so went?”

”Nope…”

”Tsk tsk… you sure don’t save face for me. You haven’t eaten yet, have you? Come on, let’s celebrate, my treat.”

”Shouldn’t we keep it on the down-low? Aren’t you afraid that they’ll find out?”

”So what if they do? Can’t I have lunch with my sister? Plus… Shen Jiani is in quite a pickle, trying to come up with 400 million in three days. She doesn’t have the time to stalk us.”

”You sure have foresight… you knew that although she didn’t have 400 million yuan, she was still going to help her son… You’re really good at digging holes for people to jump in.”

”So, Little Sis, are you complimenting me, complimenting me, or complimenting me?” Huo Siqian was elated, and he looked at Huo Mian gently.
