My Youth Began With Him

Huang Yue dispiritedly leaned against the ice-cold wall…

After a moment of silence, she slowly spoke, “Mian, I’ve let Zhixin down…”

“You already said that…” Huo Mian coldly reminded her.

“I met him during a classmate reunion party… He is my classmate’s older brother… That classmate organized the party back then… and we didn’t even need to split the bill, and so there were a lot of people there, and I went as well… But who knew… I drank too much… Then… then I slept with him. I swear I only like Zhixin. I was too drunk and don’t even remember anything. That person won’t stop harassing me afterward and often comes looking for me at the hospital and my apartment. I’m really, really scared of him. He muddles around on the streets… and claims to be in a gang. I’m scared to offend him, and he threatened to find Zhixin at school and cripple Zhixin if I didn’t listen to him… I’m really scared of dragging Zhixin down with me… Senior Sister, I’m really sorry for what I’ve done to you guys, I’m too scared to even tell you guys. I’m scared that you guys will despise me, and I’m scared that Zhixin wouldn’t be able to forgive me.”

Huang Yue cried as she spoke; it didn’t seem like she was lying…

Huo Mian slightly sighed after she heard what Huang Yue said. “Why didn’t you tell me about this sooner?”

“I was afraid to… that man is really scary… I’m scared of dragging you guys down, seriously… you guys don’t even know how terrible he is… he can and will do anything.”

Huang Yue was a little bunny and had never interacted with people like him, so she was truly terrified…

Therefore, she chose to stay silent and suck it up.

She also chose to hide from Zhixin…

“That’s why you’ve been avoiding Zhixin this entire time?” Huo Mian continued to ask.

“I know that Zhixin treats me very well, but I feel incredibly filthy now… I can’t face him.”

Huang Yue kneeled to the ground and covered her hands over her head as she spoke, once again bursting out in tears…

She was only a 21-year-old girl and truly wasn’t able to withstand such pressure…

“Have you considered calling the police?”

“Police? How can I do that? He’s in a gang; if the police arrest him… then his people will kill my entire family. You don’t know anything about them, they’re all gangsters.”

Huang Yue was terrified after she was brutally beaten by that man several times…

“But how long do you plan on keeping this terrified state up? When will it end?” Huo Mian asked calmly.

“I don’t know either… I only want to drag this on for as long as I can… I never thought that you would find out… Senior Sister, please don’t tell Zhixin, I’m scared that he will never forgive me.”

“Zhixin really cares about you… don’t you think that you should tell him about it?”

Huo Mian didn’t know what to say. At this point, Huang Yue still wanted to continue hiding this from Zhixin and make him suffer from lovesickness.

Did she really love him, to put him through all this?

“I… I must give him an answer. I will break up with him tonight when I get back.”

“Are you sure you want to break up?”

“What else can I do… Zhixin won’t like me anymore once he finds out.” Huang Yue’s eyes were red and swollen from crying.

“You’re not Zhixin, how would you know what he’ll think?”

Huang Yue shook her head. “Even if Zhixin doesn’t mind, I still can’t get over this myself… Plus, that man said that if I continued to contact Zhixin, then he’ll kill Zhixin… I can’t hurt him.”

“Then you’ll live like this your entire life?”

“What else can I do?”

“Why didn’t you come and find me? I can help you deal with him, we can face these problems together,” Huo Mian said, enunciating each word.

If this was in the past, then Huo Mian perhaps wouldn’t be brave enough to face those thugs either, but things were different now.

She had Qin Chu, along with Gao Ran at the Public Security Bureau, and even the people at Seductive Fox.

No one had a bigger underworld influence than the owner of Seductive Fox…

However, Huang Yue never told her anything…

“Even if you helped me deal with that person, what about his accomplices? If you can’t get rid of all of them, then my family will always be in danger. My parents love me so much, I don’t want anything to happen to them, not even the tiniest scratch. Mian, can you understand what I’m trying to say?”

Huang Yue sadly begged Huo Mian and didn’t even want Huo Mian’s help.

However, her way of dealing with this issue was truly absurd…

“So… you don’t want me to help you, is that right?” Huo Mian looked at Huang Yue with slight disappointment.
