Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world

Brandon rushed downstairs and burst into the kitchen.

Florence, Ravene, and Elize were gathered around the island counter with mugs of tea in hand, laughing softly over something Florence had just said.

Florence was mid-sentence, gesturing with a spoon, when Brandon’s sudden entrance made all three women turn.

”Kael? What’s wrong?”

Looking at them, he spoke ”Charlotte has found Maevrith’s spot.”

The kitchen went dead silent.

Florence’s spoon clattered against her mug while Ravene’s gaze narrowed in surprise.

Elize set her tea down slowly and gave a nod ”Good. Now Charlotte will clear things up.”

Brandon stepped closer ”Aunt Elize, one of your glyphs is connected to Charlotte’s watch, right?”

Hm? Elize raised an eyebrow upon hearing this ”Yeah...”

Brandon nodded sharply ”Teleport me there.”

Huh? Elize squinted her eyes at him ”Kael, it would be dangerous there. You stay at home.”

But Brandon shook his head and replied ”No, Elize... after that dream, I can’t stay calm. I need to be with her if something happens.”

Florence stepped forward and patted his shoulder ”Darling, Charlotte can handle it herself. You know she is very strong, right?”

Turning to her, he nodded ”I know, but I want to stay with her to reassure myself.”

Seeing his stubbornness, Elize let out a sigh ”Alright, go and change your clothes. You can leave after that.”

”Since Charlotte is there, she will protect you too, so I don’t have to worry about it.”

Brandon glanced down, realizing he was still in nothing but sweatpants.

”Right. Yeah.”

He leaned forward and kissed Elize’s lips.

Elize kissed him back, then pulled away with a small, fond smile.

Then he turned to Florence.

She was already reaching for him with her arms open.

He stepped into her embrace and kissed her deeply, tasting the faint sweetness of tea on her lips.

”Love you,” he whispered against her mouth.

Florence smiled, brushing his cheek with her thumb. ”Come back safe.”

He then walked to Ravene in two steps and cupped her face with both hands before kissing her too.

Ravene made a small, pleased sound and pulled him closer.

”Then I will go change myself.”

Charlotte stood alone in the dimly lit bathroom attached to the interrogation wing, and the only sound was the steady drip of water from the faucet she had left running.

She wore only a black bra and matching panties, the rest of her clothes discarded in a heap on the floor beside the door.

Her skin was pale under the harsh light, marked here and there with faint smears of blood that had transferred from the researchers she had just finished questioning.

She stared at her hands under the stream, watching the red-tinged water swirl down the drain as she cleaned the blood off her body.

Suddenly she frowned and turned to see her watch among the clothes glowing faintly ’Is it Big Sis?’

A burst of blue light flared in the corner of the room.

Brandon blinked, adjusting to the sudden shift, and saw her.

”Char-”

Seeing him, Charlotte was stunned ”Kael, what are you doing here?”

Looking at her standing in underwear, Brandon smiled wryly ”Since you are going to fight Maevrith, I thought I’d stick along.”

She let out a chuckle and replied ”Hmm, alright then.”

She turned off the faucet with a quick twist, shaking water from her hands before reaching for the towel on the rack.

”Wait for me to change my clothes a bit,” she said, glancing back at him over her shoulder with a small smile, ”and we can leave.”

Looking at her, he gave a nod.

She stepped into the pants, pulling them up over her hips and then shrugged on a fitting black long-sleeve shirt, zipping it halfway up her chest

Taking the coat, she draped it over her shoulders ”Come on, Kael.”

Charlotte led Brandon through a series of dimly lit corridors deeper into the facility.

She stopped in front of a reinforced steel door marked only with a faded ”Containment Level 4” stenciled in black.

Charlotte placed her palm on the biometric scanner.

It beeped once, and then it hissed open as they stepped in.

The room was large with high ceilings, and the center of the space had been cleared, leaving only the prisoners.

Twelve women were hanging upside down from thick chains bolted into the ceiling.

Their ankles were secured in heavy iron cuffs and all of them were naked with their wrists bound behind their backs with zip ties.

Some still had gags in their mouths while others had them removed with swollen lips.

Around the perimeter of the room, ten women in black tactical gear were questioning the women.

They were Charlotte’s personal team. Each held a stun baton, and a few had tablets, recording every word.

In the center of the hanging prisoners, three more researchers were tied to metal chairs with their heads lolling forward or back depending on how long they’d been conscious.

Blood streaked their thighs and chests from shallow cuts; one woman had a fresh bruise blooming across her cheekbone.

The moment Brandon and Charlotte stepped fully into the room, every operative turned to them.

The interrogators lowered their weapons, and the women bowed their heads respectfully.

”Little Boss!” they said in unison, as this is the first time they have seen Brandon in person.

They were already informed by Charlotte to respect him if they ever saw him in the future.

Hearing the title, Brandon froze mid-step.

Eh? Little Boss? Me?

Charlotte stepped forward and glanced at her team.

”Status?”

One operative stepped forward and replied ”Two have given full names and coordinates of Maevrith’s secondary safehouse. The rest are resistant. We’ve used level-two pain compliance so far. Level-three authorized on your word.”

Charlotte nodded slightly ”Continue.”

She then turned to Brandon ”There’s still some stuff to do before leaving,” she said quietly, her voice softening just for him. ”You can go and stay in my room.”

She doesn’t want Brandon to witness the torture of these women.

He raised his hand and casually wrapped it around her shoulder ”You too come with me.”

Her eyes softened and a soft smile took over her lips ”Alright.”

Her team members’ jaws dropped in utter shock to see Brandon casually interacting with Charlotte.

’S-She can smile?’

’Am I dreaming?’

’Is this the same Lady Charlotte we know?’

They stared in shock as Charlotte and Brandon walked toward the exit hand in hand.

One operative finally exhaled ”Little Boss has game.”

Another one smiled dryly ”He’s the only one who can make her smile like that. She is usually very scary.”

The lead operative shook her head ”Focus. We have work to do.”
