Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world

Stepping out of the car, Brandon stretched his arms high overhead with a soft sigh, glancing at the snow around him.

Naevora stopped the engine with a soft click and stepped out on the driver’s side.

As he walked over and opened the front door, he saw Charlotte inside, who had just reached the door and was waiting for him.

He quickly wrapped both arms around her waist and pulled her tightly against his chest.

”Big Sis.”

Charlotte let out a small, surprised sound and hugged him back immediately.

Brandon buried his face in the crook of her neck, inhaling softly..

Charlotte’s fingers flexed in his hair, holding him closer for another long moment before she finally eased back just enough to look at him.

At this time, Yverinne also reached there and smiled to see Brandon and Naevora ”Master, come in.”

Naevora gave a nod and stepped in with Yverine.

The two women moved together toward the living room and settled onto the couch near the fireplace.

Meanwhile, Brandon pulled Charlotte out of the foyer and closed the door behind them.

Before she could say anything, he took her lips in a soft kiss.

”Kael?” Charlotte was surprised for a moment, but then she melted into the kiss, murmuring, ”Big sis and others are waiting for you upstairs.”

Brandon kissed her again as she laughed softly against his mouth ”There is something important to discuss.”

He kissed the corner of her mouth, making her giggle ”...Kael. Come on, let’s go.”

---

Opening the door, Brandon entered the room and saw Ravene, Elize, and Florence sitting around the couch with serious faces.

Charlotte also entered the room and closed the door behind her before leaning back on the door.

Looking at their serious faces, he frowned slightly.

Then he noticed the red rims around Florence’s eyes and realized she had been crying ”What happened?”

Elize stood up and walked to him ”Kael, sit first.”

With a shake of his head, he asked ”First tell me what happened.

Sighing softly, Elize spoke ”Someone tried to kidnap Eira and Dhayun yesterday.”

Huh? Brandon’s eyes shrank in shock, and his heart slammed against his ribs so hard he felt it in his throat

He panicked, and his voice stuttered ”W-Where are they? Are th-”

Elize quickly grabbed his shoulders to calm him down ”Kael, don’t panic. They are safe now... don’t worry.”

Brandon’s gaze narrowed, and he let out a deep breath of relief ”Eira, Noona...”

Patting his shoulder, Elize uttered ”We tried to investigate. From the kidnapper’s earpiece, we traced the comms signal. But there was no one there. The location was abandoned, an empty warehouse on the city’s edge.

Brandon stepped back and clutched his head ”This must be her...”

Turning to them, he spoke ”Yeah, this must be that Maevrith. She tried to kill me in Japan and-”

”WHAT?”

”SHE TRIED TO KILL YOU?”

”BRANDON?”

Ravene and Florence quickly stood up from their seats while Elize’s eyes widened in horror.

They surrounded him in an instant ”Are you all right?”

”Brandon, tell me what happened.”

”Why would she try to kill you-”

Brandon hurriedly waved both hands, trying to calm the sudden storm of voices and worried faces pressing in around him.

”It’s okay, it’s okay. I’m all right now. She sent her right-hand woman. I... somehow managed to kill her.”

But then he remembered Charlotte and turned back to look at her.

She stood near the door she had just closed with her back pressed to the wood, one hand still on the handle.

Her face was pale with wide eyes, and her lips were parted in disbelief.

Yellow and blue energies swirled violently in her green eyes, reacting to her spiking emotions.

”Char-”

Before he could finish her name, she turned and left the room.

Seeing this, Elize sat back on the couch with a sigh... because she knew how deadly Charlotte could be if someone tried to harm Brandon.

She knew that look in Charlotte’s eyes, and she still remembered it vividly... Charlotte standing over the bloodied body of a neighborhood man who owned the dog that had mauled Brandon when he was a child. -[1]

However, then she remembered something and asked ”Wait, did Naevora come with you?”

Brandon blinked, still processing Charlotte’s sudden exit, and nodded ”Yeah-”

His eyes widened as he realized her words.

He spun on his legs and bolted from the room.

”Char.”

He quickly rushed down the stairs and reached the living room.

Charlotte stood in the center of the room, one hand wrapped around Naevora’s throat, lifting her clean off the floor.

Naevora’s boots dangled inches above the marble tiles, her hands instinctively gripping Charlotte’s wrist.

Her face was calm, as she knew why Charlotte was doing this, and she already expected this outcome.

Yverine was there too, frantically pulling at Charlotte’s arm.

”What happened, Sister Charlotte? Let Master go!”

Charlotte didn’t even glance at Yverine and tightened her grip on Naevora’s throat.

Brandon rushed down the last few steps.

”Char!”

She turned her head towards him, and the swirl in her eyes dimmed slightly.

Brandon reached them quickly ”Let Naevora go. She doesn’t know about it. Even she was attacked.”

Charlotte’s eyes flicked to Naevora, then back to Brandon.

He stepped closer ”She even helped me after the fight. She’s not the enemy.”

Charlotte clenched her jaw and let go of Naevora.

*thud* Naevora dropped down on the floor and stumbled once but caught herself.

Instinctively, her hand went to her throat, and she looked at Charlotte with her usual calm gaze.

Charlotte stepped back and spoke ”I thought maybe you were part of it.”

Naevora rubbed her throat once and shook her head ”I would never.”

Brandon stepped between them, placing one hand on Charlotte’s arm ”Char, Naevora doesn’t know about it either. We were ambushed.”

”She was unconscious for most of it. When she woke up, she carried me out of that place herself.”

Hearing this, Charlotte’s gaze condensed ”Maevrith, that cunt... I know how to handle this.”

With that, she quickly left the house.

As he was about to follow her, he heard Elize’s voice from behind ”Kael, no need to follow her. She knows what to do.”

Turning to her, he replied ”I know. I am just worried she might overdo it.”

With a sigh, Elize spoke ”You know about Charlotte, she won’t stop at anything.”

Then she glanced at Naevora, and her eyes narrowed coldly ”Consider your family dead. And your Noble House too.”
