Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world

Brandon sat quietly, one hand wrapped around the warm mug while the other rested loosely against his knee.

The coffee’s bitter scent rose with every slow sip, but it barely grounded him as his thoughts drifted back again and again to that strange dream.

White... endless white.

The flutter of wings.

A voice he couldn’t quite reach.

Every time he tried to grasp the memory, it felt like trying to catch smoke.

Florence leaned her head against his shoulder, her hair falling in soft waves across his arm.

She released a small, tired sigh, and her fingers absentmindedly traced patterns across the back of his hand.

”...You’re still thinking about it?” She murmured, and her voice was low with morning softness.

Brandon tried to piece together fragments he barely remembers.

The butterflies. The strange stillness. A feeling like someone was watching him... or waiting.

Finally, he breathed out ”Yeah. It just feels like... something I shouldn’t forget. But I already did.”

Florence’s eyes softened at that.

She squeezed his hand gently and nuzzled her forehead against his arm.

”Dreams feel important because they touch something we don’t consciously understand yet,” she said softly. ”If it matters... it will come back.”

Brandon took another sip of his coffee.

Florence shifted slightly, lifting her head from his shoulder so she could see his face better.

She looked at him for a moment, her fingers moving from his hand to his jaw.

With a slow motion, she turned his face toward hers.

”Stop thinking so hard,” she whispered, a small playful smile tugging at her lips.

Before he could respond, she leaned in and kissed him.

His hand instinctively came up to her waist, fingers curling against her skin.

She pulled back just a breath away, lips still brushing his.

”...I want to taste the coffee,”

Brandon exhaled a small laugh before she closed the distance again.

Florence’s fingers slid from his jaw into the hair at his nape, tilting his head exactly where she wanted it.

She parted her mouth over his, her tongue tracing the seam of his lips once, then slipping inside when he opened for her.

Their tongues brushed, tentative at first, then curled together in a slick, hungry glide.

She licked deeper, exploring the roof of his mouth and the soft underside of his tongue, coaxing him to give her more.

He did. His tongue pushed against hers, sliding, stroking, and curling until the kiss turned wet and breathless.

A soft, needy noise escaped her when he sucked gently on the tip of her tongue; she answered by sucking his lower lip between hers.

Saliva slicked their lips; the quiet room filled with the soft, obscene sounds of tongues meeting, parting, and meeting again.

Florence angled her head, deepening it further, until their mouths were sealed and moving in perfect, greedy rhythm.

Brandon’s hand slid from her waist to her back, pressing her flush against him.

When they finally parted, it was only far enough for air. A thin strand of saliva stretched between their lips for a heartbeat before breaking.

Florence’s eyes were dark, and her lips were swollen and glistening.

”...much better,” she whispered.

Brandon smiled and pecked her lips.

”That is the nastiest kiss I have ever seen.”

Eira stood at the bottom of the stairs with messy morning hair, a blanket still draped around her shoulders like a royal cape.

Florence lifted her brows, utterly unbothered. ”Oh? Good morning to you too, darling.” She gave a lazy little wave.

Eira stomped the last few steps like she needed dramatic punctuation.

She crossed her arms tightly and glared between them ”Yesterday, your daughter was practically turned into minced meat in the arena, bleeding, bruised, hand nearly smashed... and this morning I wake up and expect a warm hug or at least someone asking, ’How are you feeling, sweetie?’”

She stopped directly in front of Florence and jabbed a finger at Brandon ”But instead, you’re downstairs tongue-wrestling with him.”

Brandon blinked slowly with a chuckle ”...Tongue-wrestling?”

Eira nodded ”Because whatever that was... it wasn’t kissing. That was public biohazard behavior.”

Florence tilted her head, still smiling sweetly ”Mm. But you’re walking... and talking... and yelling.”

She tapped her chin thoughtfully ”So clearly you’re fine.”

Eira’s eyes narrowed. ”That’s not the point.”

Brandon set his cup down ”Eira... come here.”

She hesitated, still pretending to be angry, but her feet betrayed her, slowly taking her closer.

Brandon reached up with one hand and gently took hers ”How are you feeling?”

Her shoulders dropped just a little, and the pout she tried to hold wavered.

”...Still sore,” she muttered, and her eyes softened a little.

”But better. The potion helped a lot.”

She put the blanket from her back and crawled onto his lap.

Brandon adjusted his arms slowly, careful not to touch any places where she might still be sore.

”You sure?” he murmured. ”If something hurts, say so.”

Florence exhaled gently and leaned back, ”You fought well, Eira. Better than most. And you didn’t back down, even when you should’ve.”

”Back during my academy days, I was also like you... even suffered some great injuries.”

Eira let out a deep sigh ”I wanted to play the finals with him. Well... it doesn’t matter now.”

Turning to him, she muttered ”Win the finals for me, Brandon.”

Next day-

The arena was already shaking with noise long before the match even started.

Rows upon rows of students packed the stands with first-years, second and third-years watching with crossed arms.

Even the fourth-years, usually too ”above” first-year events filled the upper seats like hawks evaluating prey.

Teachers stood along the railing of the inner ring, some chatting idly.

The massive holographic screens floating above the arena displayed the words:

— FIRST-YEAR TOURNAMENT FINALS —

Students waved glowing sticks, smartphones hovered to record with ether-projection, and the sound of chants shook the metal beams.

”BRAN-DON! BRAN-DON! BRAN-DON!”

One corner of the stadium held a group of girls holding... enormous banners.

One had his face drawn with the words:

”BRANDON-OPPA, STEP ON ME!”

Another banner said: ”Kael Household Recruitment Open- Girlfriends Apply Here.”

A group behind them held a giant cut-out of his face wearing a crown.

Some teachers face-palmed.

Some laughed.

Even among upperclass girls there were whispered ”Is he really that strong?”

”I heard he destroyed B-class monsters during the Rupture outbreak in the city.”

”No, no- rumor says he fought an instructor and survived.”

”A first year student? Isn’t that impossible?”

Every rumor only added fuel.

Then there was the atmosphere around the arena floor itself.

Elena was already stretching lazily at the ring entrance, cracking her knuckles and rolling her shoulders.

Brandon was standing beside her with a faint smile on his lips.

Looking at him, Elena spoke ”We are packing her today, Brandon.”

His gaze condensed, and he replied ”During the last match, her duo didn’t step up, and she fought alone.”

”If that’s the same for this match too, you don’t need to step up, Elena.”

”I will take care of her.”

Elena frowned at that, but then she nodded ”Alright.”
