My Werewolf System

Chapter 1289: How A Real Alpha Fights

Gary had never used the skill before. He hardly had time to, with how quickly he had gotten his upgraded class and then had gone on this mission, so he didnʼt know what to expect. What he was relying on right now was the description of the skill itself.

The feeling he felt was different from the two transformations he had. He could feel a slight tingling sensation in his eyes, and then darkness spreading out of the pores of his fur.

It continued to surround the entire area, turning the air around them into darkness as if there wasnʼt a single beacon of light.

”What is this…how could someone do this…this canʼt be possible, can it?” Ylva said, but what she feared most was that her vision that she had seen was coming true.

”Iʼve never even heard of any Werewolves being able to do such a thing, what even is this!”

”Everything Iʼve been through, itʼs forced me into this situation!”

The area, the light from above, it was all covered in darkness. It was almost as if the two of them were now in a separate space. They were even able to see the outside, almost as if they had been cut off.

The Werewolves had stopped, not quite rushing in. Although mindless in resilience, they truly still had a mind of their own and were wary of the dark space up ahead, the dark space that was like a cloud that they were unable to see the inside of.

[Your stats have been boosted]

This was all the confirmation that Gary needed. All of his skills had come back, and it was just as if the sun had never risen. Even more so, he had the same effect as the class, and his energy was being restored. It was as if he had never fought in the first place, which led him to one choice.

ʼI need to finish this fight as quickly as possible.ʼ

[Transformation activated]

[Shadow Ash Lycan Form]

Before, Gary was meant to go head-to-head with Ylva in battle, with the aim of taking her out so the others could get her body. He was just a little too late before getting distracted.

Now the others werenʼt trying to get to where Ylva was; instead, they were running away. So, with the only focus in Garyʼs mind to take Ylva out, he would do what he needed to do.

[Ember Dash]

He ran right across the area and saw that Ylva was already on the move. He opened up his mouth to the side, and Ylva stepped back just seconds before the attack had hit her. A tornado of flames had exploded from Gary.

The moment she turned around though, Gary had swung his fist right to her side. She had attempted to block, but the sheer power was too much as her body was flung to the side.

Gary had eventually caught up with her and then flung her up in the air, where it was hard for her to move. As her body was being flung in the air, she had almost closed her eyes, as if she was accepting her fate.

And that was because she had seen it all; she had seen everything that was going to happen.

ʼI was right, we should have stopped him when we had the chance. Taken him out even before he managed to get to Harvor. Now there is no doubt in my mind that Gary Dem is a match for Lupus!ʼ Ylva thought. ʼDamned those Vampires, did they know this was going to happen? Is that why they tried to stop us every chance we got…no, we couldnʼt have known that after so much time another Alpha would have appeared in this era.

If we could have prepared, maybe…maybe we could have done something!ʼ

The Werewolves stayed close by, standing on the rooftops as they looked in at the scene, until they saw breaking out from the top of the tornado of flames from the darkness.

The darkness itself was starting to fade, and they could see two figures flying out. One, a lifeless body, the other, a powerful Werewolf reaching up.

The dark shadow and ashes starting to fade away, as Gary started to transform back into his regular form.

The Werewolves could all feel it as well. Their power was fading from them. The boost, the urge, the resilience, all of it was disappearing.

The white glow around their irises was starting to fade, and some of them were even shrinking down, getting smaller in size.

Then, they saw Gary land on the rooftop, and Ylva falling from above. Before her body hit the ground, Gary had reached out with his arm and managed to grab her right before she fell to the ground, and then dropped her onto the floor, letting her body stay there.

Gary looked at all of the Werewolves in the distance that were staring at him.

The werewolves didnʼt even try to get close; they were afraid. A Werewolf of the other side had just taken down their lunar just like that. They no longer had the same powers as before, and they had no idea what to do.

”Go away!” Gary shouted, his voice echoing through the sky.

The Werewolves didnʼt think twice; something inside them made them scurry. Heading to where they had come from, the Gardens nearby, or off in the distance on guard duty like they had been before they had arrived.

Then Gary looked down at Ylva on the ground.

”I said to Midwak…that I wouldnʼt get rid of you…Youʼre dangerous for us…dangerous because of what you can do to Lupus…what do I do now with you?” Gary thought.
