Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 1616: Chapter 1616: Can Help You Stuff the Filling

”Grandma eats too, but she mainly makes them for me. Grandma only makes two mooncakes every year, one for her, one for me. I know she doesn’t want to make them for my great-grandfather and Nangong Xu.”

Jian Yufei thought to herself, perhaps her mother still resents them, which is why she doesn’t make them for them.

Then she chuckled and said, ”You’re so young, how do you know your grandma only makes two mooncakes every year?”

He’s just over four years old now, not yet five.

He probably doesn’t even remember the past few years.

”Nangong Xu told me. He said ever since I was born, I’ve been eating mooncakes made by Grandma, and he reminded me not to forget to come home and eat them every year. He said if I don’t come home for the mooncakes, there will be no one to eat with Grandma.”

Hearing this, Ansel became sad, ”Mommy, will I never be able to eat mooncakes with Grandma again?”

Jian Yufei quickly comforted him, ”Of course not. Once we defeat the bad people, not only you, but Mommy will also accompany Grandma to eat mooncakes every year.”

Ansel’s little face turned serious, ”We’ll definitely defeat the bad people! And we’ll definitely find Junqi!”

Jian Yufei’s eyes showed emotion, she hugged him tightly and said nothing more.

She also hoped that day would come soon.

...

Early the next morning, Jian Yufei and Mo Lan busied themselves making mooncakes.

The tools for making mooncakes were prepared yesterday. Mo Lan assisted her, while Jian Yufei was in charge overall.

”They bought a really comprehensive selection of fillings,” Jian Yufei said with a smile, looking through the materials piled on the table.

Mo Lan counted them, there were lotus paste, egg yolk, five nuts, meat filling, and various fruit fillings, more than twenty types in total...

She laughed and asked, ”How many of each filling should we make?”

”Let’s make two of each, so that’s over fifty in total. Looks like today’s task is a bit hefty,” Jian Yufei said, rolling up her sleeves and preparing to get busy.

”If we don’t have enough hands, we can ask them for help,” Mo Lan suggested.

”If it’s necessary, I won’t refuse the offer,” Jian Yufei chuckled.

The process of making mooncakes isn’t complicated; as long as the tools are complete, it’s quite easy.

Jian Yufei first searched online on how to make mooncakes, then studied it with Mo Lan, figuring out how to make them...

Ruan Tianling and Qi Ruigang talked about some cooperation matters in the living room. After their discussion, they had nothing else to do and became curious about how the mooncakes were being made in the kitchen.

So, the two men couldn’t help but walk towards the kitchen.

Seeing them come in, Jian Yufei quickly waved them away, ”Go out, what are you doing in here?”

Ruan Tianling walked over to Jian Yufei, watching with interest as she used the mold to shape the mooncakes.

”Need any help?” he asked.

”No need,” Jian Yufei replied with a face full of smiles.

”Really no need? I can help you with the filling,”

Jian Yufei elbowed him, ”Really no need. You go do your thing. I have nothing to do all day, this is just right to pass the time.”

”Then I’ll just watch you do it,” Ruan Tianling insisted on staying.

Jian Yufei smiled sweetly. Since he didn’t leave, she still gave him a small task.

Which was to press the dough with the mold to form the shape of the mooncakes.

Ruan Tianling immediately rolled up his sleeves, very interested in helping.

Because Mo Lan had an injured hand, she was responsible for shaping the dough, Jian Yufei wrapped the filling, and Ruan Tianling pressed out the shapes.

Qi Ruigang stood aside for a while, eventually couldn’t resist stepping forward, ”Need my help?”

Using the same line as Ruan Tianling.
