Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 538: Chapter 538: My Stomach Hurts_1

“Is nobody willing to sell?”

“Yes, the Xiao Family isn’t like the Luo Family before. The Xiao Family is thriving now, just inked a billion-dollar contract. They all do not want to let go of their shares, not even for a high price.

Ruan Tianling walked to the French window, hands propped on the clean glass, he squinted his sharp eyes, observing the cars and pedestrians below.

“As of today, temporarily stop acquiring shares of the Xiao Family. I want you to investigate their client resources, send all detailed information to me.”

“Alright, we will start investigating immediately.”

After Ruan Tianling ended the call he stood for a while, then grabbed his coat and headed home from work.

Yan Yue visited the Ruan Family again, she would come by almost every day.

She was very smart, always coming in the afternoon when Ruan Tianling was not at home.

She did not dare to come when he was home, afraid of upsetting him.

However, occasionally she could ‘coincidentally’ bump into him.

As Ruan Tianling entered the living room, he saw Yan Yue and his mother sitting together, chatting while having food. His gaze slowly swept over her and was about to head upstairs when..

“Ling, I brought some venison today, try it. It’s really delicious,” Yan Yue said, picking up a piece of specially seasoned venison with her chopsticks, smiling as she rose and walked towards him.

She held the venison up to his mouth, playfully trying to stuff it into his mouth like she used to.

“Open your mouth, ah.”

Ruan Tianling stiffened, lips pursed, but she continued to try and feed him, oblivious to his annoyance.

The man finally lost his patience, brushed her hand away unceremoniously. The piece of venison rolled onto the floor, and Yan Yue teetered, her knees hitting the sharp corner of the coffee table.

She suddenly furrowed her brows, hands resting on the coffee table, too painful to move.

“Yueyue, what’s wrong?” His mother asked, concerned, she rushed to steady Yan Yue.

Yan Yue let out a pained expression, “Aunt, I think I have a stomach-ache.”

His mother hurried to get Ruan Tianling, “Tianling, quickly take Yueyue to the hospital! It can’t be a problem with the child, hurry up!”

Ruan Tianling stood still, looking coldly at Yan Yue.

Could she have a stomachache just by knocking her knee?

He wasn’t even up for ridiculing her, he turned to leave.

“Ling, my stomach hurts so much. Save our baby, it’s your child, please save him.”

Yan Yue’s face was contorted in pain, she called out agonizingly, as if she was about to have a miscarriage.

Ruan Tianling stopped in his tracks and slightly turned his head, expressionless.

“Tianling, what are you waiting for? Hurry up and get Yueyue to the hospital!” His mother was distraught, but Ruan Tianling remained calm.

“Ling, it hurts so much, save me…” Yan Yue reached out helplessly to him, tears welling up in her eyes.

Ruan Tianling stepped forward, picking her up and headed outside.

Yan Yue’s soft arm clung on to his neck, her petite face buried in his chest, moaning in pain all the way.

His mother followed them, with a relieved smile on her face.

When they reached the hospital, Ruan Tianling stood by, watching the doctor examine her.

The doctor asked so many questions, and Yan Yue only responded that there was a sudden sharp pain in her stomach as if it had cramped, but now the pain had subsided.

The doctor laughed, “Well, it might have been a cramp. After the fetus is three months old, it will grow rapidly, the uterus will enlarge, and the round ligament in the uterus will be pulled, causing stomach cramps.”
