Fated to My Billionaire Husband

Chapter 527: Chapter 527: The one who poisoned is Jian Yufei_1

In the hospital’s operating room, Ruan Tianling was in the process of being resuscitated.

Ruan’s parents hurried over as soon as they heard the news, their faces filled with worry and concern.

“Yueyue, what happened to Tianling? Why has he been poisoned? Who would have poisoned him?” Ruan’s mother desperately clung to Yan Yue’s hand, her voice filled with anxiety.

Yan Yue’s eyes were red, and her fair face was unable to hide her obvious worry and fear.

“Auntie, I don’t know who drugged Tianling either. Today, I wanted to go to the hospital for a check-up, but I felt so uncomfortable going alone. So, I went to Tianling and asked him to accompany me. I found him asleep in the bedroom and couldn’t wake him up no matter what. When we rushed him to the hospital, the doctors confirmed that he was drugged with an Aphrodisiac, a particularly dangerous one at that.”

Ruan’s mother widened her eyes in shock. A second later, a steely glare emerged within them.

“Where’s Jian Yufei? Don’t they live together? Where is she? Bring her here, I want to know what’s going on!”

Yan Yue bit her lip, hesitating before admitting, “Auntie, I suspect that it was Jian Yufei who drugged Tianling.”

“Really? Her?” Ruan’s mother was taken aback, finding it hard to believe.

Yan Yue nodded, “Yes, someone called Tianling earlier and I answered. It was one of his men. He said Jian Yufei had run away and is now nowhere to be found. Auntie, there’s something I haven’t told you guys yet. Actually, Tianling had specifically told me not to mention it.”

“What is it?” Ruan’s father interjected with a stern voice.

Yan Yue looked at them and decided to come clean, “Jian Yufei had escaped once before. That time, she drugged Tianling and made her getaway. He nearly died at her hands and was hospitalized for several days. He didn’t publicize this incident, but I knew. I was the one taking care of him in the hospital…”

Ruan’s mother’s face darkened, her teeth gnashing in resentment. She wished she could give Jian Yufei a good few slaps.

There was no need for speculation. The person who had drugged Ruan Tianling was undoubtedly Jian Yufei. She had a previous record, and now she had fled. Who else could it be?

“Husband, what are you doing standing there? Call the police, have them arrest that despicable woman!” Ruan’s mother furiously shouted at Ruan Mingtao.

“Auntie, we can’t call the police.” Yan Yue quickly stopped them, “Tianling told me before that we must not involve the police. He doesn’t want to see Jian Yufei in the hands of the law enforcement. I believe he still won’t want to this time. Even if the police were to catch Jian Yufei, once Tianling wakes up, he would definitely rescue her. Now that Jian Yufei has run away, let her go and not disturb Tianling. If we call the police and she is caught, wouldn’t it only push her back into Tianling’s life?”

A sorrowful expression filled Ruan’s mother’s eyes.

“Why did I have to give birth to such a son… What is so good about Jian Yufei? She nearly killed him twice, why does he still insist on being with her only…”

“I guess he just wants what he can’t have.” Yan Yue lowered her eyes, her voice full of melancholy.

With one hand supporting her lower back and the other stroking her stomach, she sat down on a chair, looking exhausted.

Ruan’s mother’s gaze flickered, “Yueyue, how I wish Tianling could see your kindness.”

Yan Yue raised her eyes and forced a bitter smile, “Auntie, Tianling told me that he would never take me as his wife in this lifetime, no matter how good I am or how Jian Yufei treats him. He will never change his mind.”

Every time she said something like this, Ruan’s mother’s hatred for Jian Yufei deepened.

Suddenly, she recalled the conversation she had secretly overheard outside her father-in-law’s study that night.
