Players' NPC Big Daddy

[Gedelock] Official Discussion Group.

[ID Armor Beetle (Corrupted): The psychos from the Black Witch Order wiped us all out while we were farming the event!]

[ID Golden G: Huh? Did the Black Witch crowd switch their Profession to player killers too? Please no, Asasel is already troublesome enough.]

[ID Armor Beetle (Corrupted): That so-called top guild was just jealous of our guild’s event ranking. Zero class.]

[ID Heartless Liver Emperor: You’re not talking about the Arcadia Witch Hunting event, are you? Didn’t the Fairy Kingdom already make the world quest public?]

[ID Louis: I checked the rankings. Even Vice Players like Greenland aren’t farming this event. Why are you guys still doing it?]

[ID Unicorn: Wow, so sneaky.]

[ID Armor Beetle (Corrupted): What? It’s our freedom to farm that event. We play however we want to.]

[ID Armor Beetle (Corrupted): Those were the targets of the Witch Hunting, not friendly NPCs. I didn’t get a wanted level when I killed Arcadians before.]

[ID Golden G: Do you guys really skip all the story text? You deserved to get wiped.]

[ID Armor Beetle (Corrupted): Stop taking the moral high ground. Those psychos from the Black Witch Order will get red names and become wanted criminals for killing us. Besides, who knows if that world story wasn’t just a scheme by the Fairy Kingdom to monopolize the event rewards?]

[ID Armor Beetle (Corrupted): Our guild was already in the top five. I don’t care who becomes the Lord, they better give us our rewards.]

[Gedelock Official Announcement]

[World Quest: Arcadia’s Secret Completed]

[New Playable Race Added: Arcadians]

————————————

[ID Golden G: Hahahahaha—]

[ID Golden G: Oh my, guess who’s in Arcadia but didn’t get this limited-edition item? (Screenshot of Silver Blood Item)]

[ID Golden G: A magnificent guild ranked in the top 10 of the Witch Hunting must have received an even better item, right? (Laughs)]

[ID Star-Stealing Bug is Dead: The new Lord is in Lai Kaion City right now. You can come over and claim your reward! (Screenshot of Silver Blood Item)]

[ID Beastman Control: Goodbye everyone, I’m reincarnating as an Arcadian.]

[ID Beastman Control: Wait, guess what I just found in my inventory! (Screenshot of Silver Blood Item) I can undergo a Transformation without even having to restart my character!]

[ID Analyst: Let me evaluate this special item. (Screenshot of Silver Blood Item) Yep, it’s Invincible. This is the very first item in the entire game that breaks the level caps.]

[ID Abstinence Vanguard: Not just that! This item is the equivalent of a player picking an extra race. (Screenshot of Silver Bloodline Skill) I just don’t know how to raise the Skill Level.]

[ID Beastman Control: I transformed! I transformed! There’s even a special buff under the moonlight!]

[ID Detail Freak: I got this special item too, but I think we should also be focusing on the Black Beast Knight NPC.]

[ID Analyst: Isn’t he just a story NPC for this world quest? Look at how fiercely he fought that character named Romeo. He even landed the final blow.]

[ID Detail Freak: No, no, no. This former regional boss was active in Balkan City. How could he possibly have any connection to Arcadia?]

[ID Detail Freak: My theory is that the Black Beast Knight is the one who actually triggered Arcadia’s Secret.]

[ID Two-Horned Horse Knight: Are you serious?! Special quests are already rare enough, and now we have to compete with NPCs for them?]

[ID Unicorn: Not exactly. Haven’t you watched the developer’s live streams? They mentioned that NPCs’ data accumulates through interactions with each other and with players, allowing them to generate special quests on their own. In theory, special storylines are infinite.]

[ID Traitorous Penguin: I heard that originally, the reward for Arcadia’s Secret was like the Soul of the Beastman back then. Not only was it insanely difficult, but the only reward was adding a new playable race.]

[ID Traitorous Penguin: It’s possible that the Black Beast Knight NPC’s involvement caused a massive Transformation in the quest content.]

[ID Golden G: Holy crap, does that mean the Black Beast Knight not only lowered the quest difficulty but also helped the participating players score this limited-edition item?! Wait, doesn’t the Black Beast Knight have Lethal Execution? With him around, won’t the vast majority of mobs just get one-shot?!]

[ID Inspector SSNI: Let me show off a bit first. (Screenshot of Silver Blood Item) I heard world quests are super tough. This time, I just ran around naked for over an hour, participated, and got the item. Maybe inviting NPCs to do quests together is the real way to maximize rewards.]

[ID Traitorous Penguin: During the closed beta, this game was supposedly focused on observing NPC Transformations, so that idea is probably correct.]

[ID Golden G: I suddenly have a bold idea, but alas, my resources are limited.]

[ID Flying Brick: We will test out this bold idea for you.]

[ID Analyst: Before, it was always NPCs giving quests to players. Players giving quests to NPCs is a first. Truly a God-tier game.]

[ID Heartless Liver Emperor: The big shots have arrived!]

[ID Blocked: Can someone tell me where he is? I need to take some measurements.]

[ID Black Witch Order: Madam, please hurry to the Sacrificial Stone Forest!!!]

[ID Black Witch Order: We caught the shota husband!!!]

...

The discussion among the players on the forum heated up. Some were studying the item’s abilities, while others researched the Profession loadouts for the new race, [Arcadians].

The player named [Armor Beetle (Corrupted)] was completely drowned out. Even if they spoke, their words were quickly buried under an avalanche of new messages.

However, a little extra anecdote occurred at the tail end of this incident.

The players led by ID Armor Beetle (Corrupted) filed a complaint with the developers, claiming they had not received the [Silver Blood] quest reward for [World Quest: Arcadia’s Secret].

To this, the official reply was: [You do not meet the conditions for item distribution, nor do you meet the conditions for its use.] But this group of players refused to let it go. They claimed that the [Black Witch Order] had also received the limited-edition item, even though all those players did was set fire to them.

The official response clarified that the sole condition for obtaining the item was [Rescuing Arcadians]. The [Black Witch Order] had rescued over three thousand Arcadians in one fell swoop, making them the guild that saved the most people in this world quest—far surpassing even the [Fairy Kingdom], who had gone directly to Lai Kaion City.

Vowing to make the developers pay, these players rallied all the deeply envious players who had missed out on the item. They used mass refunds as a threat to demand that the [Silver Blood] item either be recalled or distributed to every player.

After all, only a few hundred players had actually obtained the item, while tens of thousands answered the rallying call. The developers could only helplessly state that if they pushed through with a refund, their accounts would be banned, and they would no longer be provided with account registration services.

The final number of actual refunds: 0.
