Players' NPC Big Daddy

Legend has it that a wolf would raise its paws and rest them on a traveler’s shoulders from behind, its foul-smelling snout pressing close to their ears to exhale warm, moist breaths. The moment the traveler turned around, the wolf would crush their throat with its jaws.

There was only one way to look behind without turning around.

Blaze suddenly bent over, looking through his legs at what lay behind him. It was the young couple.

The young man clutched his heart, his face twisted in agony. The veins on the back of his hands bulged, and his muscles writhed. His upper body continuously expanded as if a bomb were detonating inside him, accompanied by the terrifying, incessant sound of bones shattering and snapping back together.

[Arcadia Werewolf]

In Blaze’s vision, this dangerous name was clearly marked above the young man’s head.

”Romeo!” the young woman cried, anxiously supporting the young man.

”Juliet, hurry... get away...”

Silver-white hair was rapidly sprouting all over the face of the man named Romeo, and his mouth was protruding forward, gradually taking on the appearance of a wolf.

”I’m currently ranked ninth... Hmm, this position isn’t very safe,” Greenland said, casually swiping at the air, completely ignoring everyone else. After confirming something, she waved her hand toward Romeo, who was undergoing Werewolf Transformation. ”Kill him.”

ROAR—

Having completely lost his Human form and transformed into a massive Silver Werewolf, Romeo charged straight at Blaze.

”He really is a Werewolf!” Blaze put away his Twisted Greatsword and pinched a Silver Needle between his fingers. As long as the Werewolf attacked him, he could drive the Silver Needle into its heart the moment his Dodge triggered [Counterpunch].

However, the Werewolf leaped right over his head and collided with the zombie giant bear, halting the bear’s advance with a wild, imposing stance.

Blaze stood rooted to the spot. When they brushed past each other, that look in his eyes...

While Greenland was leisurely complaining, the powerful zombie giant bear had already dropped to Level 20. Its attack power had plummeted, but the various plants growing on its body had not weakened. In fact, they had grown even stronger after absorbing the bear’s nutrients.

The Arcadia Werewolf noticed this. After tripping the zombie giant bear, he quickly jumped back and disappeared from sight in just a few bounds.

The young girl named Juliet’s vision went dark, and she collapsed unconscious on the ground.

”Ah, the love between a Werewolf and a Human? How fitting for Juliet and Romeo, hehehe...” Greenland feigned helplessness, but she smiled gloomily as she scanned her surroundings.

”Don’t even think about it,” Blaze said in a low voice, raising his Twisted Greatsword and pointing it at Greenland.

Despite his bold words, Blaze had zero confidence in winning against Greenland. Perhaps he should gamble on whether Greenland’s true body could be killed in one hit by [Lethal Execution].

However, the Druid was a Summoning Stream Profession that could rival the Undead Mage, and this remained true even if she had become a Death Druid. Greenland’s ability to summon Jungle Beasts had only been shown in the slightest fraction.

Furthermore, this Foreigner’s race was a Cat Beastman—a powerful individual known for extremely high Agility and Power. Although he didn’t know why she wasn’t utilizing this trait and kept standing awkwardly in place, it was undoubtedly a strategy to lure the enemy in.

Right then, a Peregrine Falcon descended from the sky and landed on Blaze’s shoulder. The dancing Fairy emblem on its ankle was incredibly conspicuous.

”A communication Peregrine Falcon from the Fairy Kingdom? That’s a bit tricky. I really don’t want to offend them.” Greenland took a step back and slowly sank into her own shadow. She vanished completely, her shadow seeping into the soil like liquid before disappearing.

Audrey finally hurried over. At only Level 20, she had struggled to keep up with Blaze’s full-speed sprint. Behind her, Herbie was already swaying from side to side like a zombie.

”Blaze, what happened? Juliet?!” Audrey was uncharacteristically panicked, clearly recognizing the young girl.

Blaze briefly recounted the situation. Without time to check the message Flying Brick had sent him, he let the Peregrine Falcon fly off and then checked on the girl named Juliet.

”As a Singer, you should have songs that can heal, right?” he asked.

”I do.”

Audrey forcefully suppressed her panic, steadied her voice, and sang a healing song. In the midst of singing, she paused, her gaze lingering on Juliet’s lower abdomen.

”What’s wrong?” Blaze asked.

Audrey shook her head and resumed her song. Staggering, Herbie clutched her shoulders and panted heavily. Through her blurry vision, she spotted a thin black shadow slithering across the ground toward Wolf Head Grass Village. Just seeing that shadow made her feel nauseous enough to throw up.

”What is that...” Herbie’s expression shifted wildly. She called out to Blaze and Audrey, using the excuse of finding water to drink, and went after the shadow.

”Are you... are you Audrey?” a middle-aged man walked over, greeting her tentatively.

”Are you the Village Chief?” Audrey frowned in thought, digging the image of the middle-aged man before her out of her childhood memories.

”It really is you, Audrey.”

The Village Chief of Wolf Head Grass Village and Audrey struck up a conversation, and she almost immediately cut to the chase to ask about Romeo, who had undergone the Werewolf Transformation.

Blaze paused briefly as he looked at the notification from the Blessing.

[Honor Points: 74/1000]

It had been a long time since he last gained Honor Points, but...

[Saved innocent people persecuted by Witch Hunting: +9]

The number was wrong.

”Forget it, this doesn’t matter right now,” Blaze muttered.

Blaze picked up Juliet and asked Audrey in a low voice, ”Where should we take her? Is there a Doctor here?”

”A Doctor wouldn’t be as effective as a Singer’s healing. Let’s take her to my... my mother’s house.” For some reason, Audrey’s eyes dimmed when she mentioned her mother, but she quickly pulled herself together and led the way for Blaze.

Chicken dove down from high in the sky. After exchanging a glance and a tacit nod with Blaze, it shot back up into the air.

The Foreigner named Greenland had definitely not gone far; she was certainly still hiding somewhere.

...

In a patch of shade within Wolf Head Grass Village, Greenland slowly surfaced from the pitch-black shadows.

As soon as she emerged, Greenland leaned against the wall, panting heavily. A pink halo emanated from her pale fur, but she still didn’t forget to speak in a crisp voice, live-streaming to a virtual window titled [Greenlannd - Vice Player Month 3].

”Bros, I was just attacked by the Black Beast Knight while farming werewolves. Good thing he didn’t get close, or I might have actually leaked.”

Greenland was a former Professional Player and a current female game streamer. Right now, she was desperately holding it in because nature called. If Blaze had charged at her just then, she would have had to gamble on whether she could fight while literally spraying Holy Water everywhere.

”In ten more minutes, I can end the stream and go to the bath... Thank you, Woshi Dachunlv, for the Captain gift!”

Greenland let out a sigh of near despair. Someone had just sent her a gift. Usually, she would be thrilled, but right now she was desperate to log off and use the toilet. A Captain gift meant she had to extend her stream by another ten minutes.

This was absolute torture.

At that moment, a viewer asked about the playstyle of Vice Players. Greenland had no choice but to squeeze her legs together and lean for support, panting as she explained in a suggestive tone that could easily be misunderstood.

”If you choose the Vice route, (Nngh~) all NPCs will be hostile to you and even obstruct you, (Mmh~) the player. People who chose [Vice] (Haa~) can’t even enter a city, let alone talk to NPCs. They can only refresh their resurrection points in Monster nests or Robber strongholds. (Mmh-nngh~)

”I... (Nngh~) this Faith-based Plant build I developed using rotting corpses and plants that absorb corpse levels to grow is almost (Ah~ I can’t hold it) at its limit. The places where I can get powerful plants are either too high level for me to fight my way in, or Vice (Ah~ seriously~) Players will get double-teamed by the plants and random NPCs.

”Honestly, I’m considering whether I should just abandon this account. Grinding levels like this feels like dealing with constipation.”

Hearing Greenland say this, the chat immediately flooded with rejections. Viewers who loved schadenfreude wouldn’t miss a single chance to watch a streamer get tortured.

”You... mm, you guys are such perverts. Making me experience the feeling of constipation when I’m about to leak.”

”Hey!”

A shout, heavy with an oppressive, suffocating hostility, came from behind her.

Greenland instantly straightened her back, letting out an obnoxious, witch-like cackle. As a Professional Player, her role-playing skills were top-notch.

”What is it~”

”Let’s make a deal, Foreigner!”
