Players' NPC Big Daddy

Blaze completely tossed every single word Greenland said to the back of his mind.

Remembering such things would only ruin the good impression he had of Foreigners in his heart.

”Let’s go back to discussing the Assassination of the Deputy Lord.”

The issue traced back to Herbie’s punishment.

The Assassination of the Deputy Lord was undoubtedly the fastest solution that required the smallest price to pay.

Even Blaze felt it was better to simply eliminate the Deputy Lord who was persecuting his own kind.

There was nothing wrong with Herbie proposing this plan, but doing it behind Audrey’s back was out of line.

As a result, Herbie was currently being subjected to a face-pinching punishment by Audrey, while Blaze and Greenland discussed the details of the Assassination of the Deputy Lord.

As for plans, it was always a good thing to prepare a few backups.

In the event the Foreigners were unwilling to fight against the army of Lai Kaion City together, they would have to resort to the most simple and brutal method—Assassination of the Deputy Lord—to solve the problem.

Unfortunately, the Assassination was scheduled for tonight, and out of the Six Vice Group, only Greenland could stay here the entire time.

Some of them had their own affairs in another world and couldn’t remain in this one indefinitely. The others who could help had already taken the reward Herbie gave them to upgrade themselves, rushing as fast as they could to rendezvous in Lai Kaion City after nightfall.

”I thought you’d say something like subduing the Deputy Lord,” Greenland asked curiously while studying the Map of Lai Kaion City.

Although it was strange to associate such words with the Black Beast Knight who had already cleanly slaughtered Professional Players four hundred million times, after seeing Blaze fight a bloody battle for Romeo, Greenland still couldn’t help but see him as a youth of Kindness and integrity.

And someone with that kind of persona generally resisted killing.

”Well... that was what I thought at first, but after careful consideration, I realized that cleanly taking him out is indeed the most appropriate course of action.” Blaze was also conflicted, but he voiced his helpless conclusion.

”Think about it. That Deputy Lord has so many sons; he is absolutely a Werewolf by now. This means his combat Power is exceptionally high. If I go into battle with the intention of talking it out and seeking mutual understanding, I’ll definitely be killed instead.

”This battle wages the future of the Arcadians. I can’t let my own temperaments increase the chances of failure.”

”Exactly, well said.” Greenland nodded, deeply moved. She absolutely loved this kind of decisive personality.

”Alright, I’ve decided to teach you a little play—ahem, a Secret Skill that only Foreigners know!”

”Secret Skill?!” Blaze immediately thought of the Shield Jump Instant Teleportation technique that Flying Brick had taught him. The sensation of executing such an eye-opening technique was something he thoroughly relished.

Therefore, Blaze quickly leaned in, all ears.

”It’s knowledge that’s only useful when facing powerful Monsters, especially the kind that have rich background stories and look extraordinarily special at first glance,” Greenland explained.

”Oh!” Blaze raised his voice in anticipation.

”Logically speaking, every Monster has its own unique personality, sharing almost no common traits. However, they all share one common weakness, and that is...” Greenland dragged out her words, her deepened voice piquing Blaze’s interest.

”The glowing parts.”

”...Huh?”

”It could also be a Gemstone in the center of their palms, or somewhere that looks very out of place and abrupt.”

”W-Why is that?” Blaze found it a bit hard to understand, but he didn’t express any doubts.

After all, when Flying Brick introduced Shield Jump Instant Teleportation, he hadn’t believed it either, but Flying Brick had proven it with facts, and Blaze himself had managed to pull it off.

”Just keep it in mind for now. When the time comes, you’ll understand what I mean.” Greenland smiled mysteriously.

At this time, the merchant caravan from Hermes’ Travel Hat that Herbie had contacted just arrived, consisting of several Fast-Walking Ostriches and a fleet of carriages capable of withstanding high-speed movement.

Because they couldn’t let others know about Greenland, this Vice Alien, Herbie dismissed the caravan on the spot and acted as the sole Merchant to conduct the transaction with Greenland.

”This is the reward for assisting Blaze in saving Romeo. It’s 100,000 Gold Coins per person.” Herbie took out a coin pouch and handed it to Greenland.

Every time Blaze witnessed a transaction scene like this, he found it incredibly magical. When trading with Foreigners, 100,000 Gold Coins only needed to be stuffed into a tiny cloth pouch, but at any other time, it would require a massive chest.

”One... one, one, one hundred—”

Greenland began to twitch as if she were broken. This was likely an astronomical sum she had never seen before in her life.

”Even if you repeat ’hundred’ a few more times, the money inside won’t increase.” Herbie stuffed the coin pouch directly into Greenland’s hands, then ducked into the carriage.

It was unknown how she did it, but one side of the carriage opened up. After a series of transformations, the entire carriage turned into a mobile shop.

The mobile shop was filled with a wide variety of goods, and Herbie, leaning against the counter, revealed a radiant smile.

”Welcome! What would you like to buy?”

”Um, I... I kinda want to let these Gold Coins stay in my hands a little longer.” Greenland tightly gripped the coin pouch. This was a massive fortune she hadn’t managed to save up since she started playing.

”If you top up 100,000 Gold Coins right now, you can even get a discount.”

”I’ll top it up!”

Even without hearing how much of a discount it was, Greenland, as a Professional Player, immediately went all-in with all her assets.

”Mhm, a total of 100,000 Gold Coins and 2,500 Silver Coins.” Herbie weighed the coin pouch in her hand with satisfaction, then pushed a wooden box forward.

A Merchant was perhaps the Profession that understood a Warrior best, second only to a blacksmith. Herbie had watched the entire battle of the six Foreigners and figured out their needs during that extreme, all-cards-on-the-table fight.

”Highly Poisonous Bomb Melon, produced in the Amazon Jungle. Once matured, just a slight stimulus will cause it to fire enormously powerful seeds laced with Highly Poisonous toxins. As long as the seeds aren’t damaged, they can be retrieved and Cultivated again.”

”Bought!”

”Symbiotic Cannibal Flower, produced in the Cannibal Thorn Forest. It grows by absorbing the Life Force of its host, while simultaneously feeding back the nutrients gained from its prey, continuously restoring the host’s Life Force.”

”Bought!”

...

Afterward, no matter what goods Herbie brought out, Greenland would slam the table and shout, ”Bought!”

”My final recommendation is this.” Herbie pushed a wooden box in front of Greenland, a solemn expression appearing on her face for the first time.

”This is extremely rare even within Hermes’ Travel Hat: a Map of the Land of Eternal Slumber for Flying Dragon Species.”

”BOUGHT!!!”

Greenland let out her loudest shriek yet.

Blaze could understand Greenland’s excitement. Like all Summoning-type Professions, a Death Druid’s strength was directly correlated with the Power of their summons.

A Dragon, being the strongest species, was undoubtedly the best choice.

”After this purchase... you now owe me a total of 205,000 Silver Coins. Please sign this indentured servitude contract.”

”What a bargain! Signed!”
