Players' NPC Big Daddy

The Titan Evil God was one of the Deities that walked the earth. With every step it took, countless monsters were born from its footprints. Every breath it exhaled spread a plague that mutated harmless lifeforms into monsters. Its towering body sustained itself on the sadistic pleasure of ravaging all things.

That Evil God had already died, but it was still slowly devouring this world.

The Hundred-Womb Ganges consisted of three Blood Rivers that poured from its severed neck, cascading down as if descending from the very sky.

Countless monsters were born from this Highly Poisonous blood, only to die beneath it once more. Tormented by the Highly Poisonous venom, they were the Titan Hybrids, also known as the Titan Chimeras.

Twenty kilometers outside Balkan City flowed one of the three Hundred-Womb Ganges. As a result, the stationed Royal Knight Order frequently sortied to purge these endlessly spawning monsters. The monsters along the Hermes’ Travel Hat trade route were primarily Low Level Titan Hybrids.

”RUSTLE—”

It was the sound of something crawling along the tree branches. The creature was cautious, but the frenzied blood coursing through its veins made it forget that its body weight was no longer suited for such delicate movements.

”SCREECH—”

It was a monkey-like monster, boasting disproportionately long arms and nails that gleamed with a Highly Poisonous purple light.

Blaze stepped sideways and raised his right arm, driving his hard elbow directly into the monkey monster’s face.

The monkey monster bounced away like a rubber ball, crashing into a tree before going completely limp.

[Hybrid Monkey Level 5]

[A pitiful monkey that suffered from the Erosion of the Evil God’s Blood. The trace amounts of Toxin force it to alleviate its agonizing pain solely through slaughter, hunting, and feeding.]

The Blessing thoughtfully displayed an annotation above this monkey monster.

Blaze walked over to the Hybrid Monkey. Its body was gradually dissolving into dust, but its Alien arm remained behind.

[Monkey Hand Cursed by the Evil God 3/3]

[Pray to the blood within to grant your wish, but beware: that blood comes from an Evil God.]

”It can grant wishes? Are you serious?!” Blaze unconsciously ignored the warning in the second half of the prompt. Holding up the Monkey Hand, he immediately began to make a wish.

”Lift the Curse of the Armor!”

[Activation conditions not met.]

The Monkey Hand didn’t react at all. Blaze shook it vigorously, but there was still no response. Defeated, he could only store it in his inventory.

At that moment, the roars of more Hybrid Monkeys echoed through the air as dark Shadows darted continuously among the branches.

Monkeys were a highly social and incredibly vengeful species, and after suffering the Erosion of the Evil God’s Blood, they became even more irritable and violent.

Around twenty Hybrid Monkeys had surrounded him.

”Alright then. Let’s see if you guys can add some progress to my quest.”

[Big Old Man deleted his account, hahaha! To think he actually bumped into Marika after his resurrection!]

ID Louis

[The probability of Marika spawning in the city is only 0.02%. You can’t even say if that kind of luck is good or bad.]

ID I Am Marika’s Dog

[Of course it’s good luck! I really want to be stepped on by Lady Marika’s feet like that too.]

ID Iron Man

[And here we have the 10% of perverts among PK players.]

ID Heartless Liver Emperor

[Speaking of which, can that spear in Marika’s hands drop as loot? It comes with a Fire Enchantment, residual flames, and a delayed explosion that causes equipment Destruction. It’s ridiculously strong!]

ID Louis

[Give it up. Setting aside the fact that if you kill Marika, her royal guards will camp your resurrection point to spawn-kill you, even if it did drop, you wouldn’t be able to replicate the Effect it has in Marika’s hands.]

ID Heartless Liver Emperor

[What do you mean? The official Gedelock developers can’t be that petty, right?]

ID Louis

[Simply put, some weapons are locked so that their full Special Skills can only be utilized in an NPC’s hands. Other weapons restrict the target of attack or the usage environment. For example, that Plot Weapon called the God Hunting Greatsword doesn’t restrict Profession and has no Attribute requirements. Its Effect is fierce, but once you finish that segment of the main storyline, the weapon just becomes a souvenir.]

[Even if you managed to get Marika’s spear to drop, you’d only get a good-looking spear and an astronomically high bounty on your head from both the Kingdom and the players.]

ID Unicorn

[It’s not entirely impossible, though.]

ID Heartless Liver Emperor

[Elaborate.]

[Do you know about the drop item called ”Monkey Hand Cursed by the Evil God”? The Curse turns the player’s arm into a Monkey Hand with a randomized Stealing status.]

ID Not A Pervert

[Ah, I know that thing. That damn Monkey Hand ruined me! It grabbed a female NPC’s skirt and flipped it up, forcing me to look up her skirt. It got me a wanted poster from the Royal Knight Order.]

[By the way, kudos to the art team. Pure white panties are the best.]

ID Irreconcilable Enemies With Macaques

[Fuck, let me tell you, this Monkey Hand will Steal things even if you put it in your backpack or inventory. It’s exactly like those damn macaques on Emei Mountain!]

ID Unicorn

[This Monkey Hand can Steal materials from Bosses, and there is an extremely Low Level of probability that it can Steal the weapon right out of a Boss’s hands. Because this hand technically isn’t the player’s arm, it can trick the system’s recognition code.]

ID Heartless Liver Emperor

[Holy shit! Isn’t this a Divine Artifact?!]

ID Unicorn

[The drop rate is at an exceptionally Low Level, though. You could kill a thousand monkeys and not even see one drop.]

ID Heartless Liver Emperor

[Goodbye everyone. I have a date with a troop of macaques tonight.]

ID Melon Eating Emoji

[Hope you don’t mind a third wheel on your date.]

[Hybrid Monkey Leader Level 20]

[A pitiful monkey eroded by the Evil God’s Blood. It should have died from the Evil God’s Blood, but it lingers on its last breath due to its powerful physical body, venting its agony with the residual heat of its Life.]

This was likely the Hybrid Monkey Leader. Its physique was even more massive. Despite being a monkey, it was already close to the size of a Silverback Gorilla. Not a single tree in the forest could bear this guy’s weight, which was why it came charging across the ground.

Blaze could understand this guy. After all, its subordinates had all been wiped out. Becoming a general without an army would naturally leave anyone burning with fury. It leaped into the air, swinging two gigantic fists down toward the main culprit.

However, it really shouldn’t have aggressively used a plunging attack. That was a move only useful against opponents weaker than itself.

Blaze raised the Twisted Giant Sword and aimed it at the Hybrid Monkey Leader. The sharp tip of the Sword smoothly pierced the Hybrid Monkey Leader’s neck, resulting in a massive geyser of red virtual cubes.

The Hybrid Monkey Leader’s two enormous fists stiffened before falling limply to its sides. Its massive body gradually turned to dust, leaving behind a gigantic Flame.

Blaze reached out, grasped the Flame, and crushed it. The Blessing’s prompt box appeared once again.

[Activates when hitting a vital spot with a Slash or thrust during close combat, causing fatal massive bleeding and triggering instant death.]

Blaze recalled his recent battles. Hitting the neck, abdomen, or inner thigh had indeed killed his enemies in a single strike. The Foreigner named ID Big Old Man had been defeated by him precisely because Blaze had pierced his abdomen from behind.

”Isn’t this Skill... I remember experiencing this before. What did the Foreigners call it?” Blaze pondered for a few seconds before remembering. ”It suffered the two types of Seals known as ’maintenance’ and ’updates,’ disappearing permanently.

”Hmm... I must be remembering it wrong.”

Developer Interview Regarding the [Monkey Hand Cursed by the Evil God]

When the developers designed it, they based it on the monkey’s paw from supernatural folklore that could grant three wishes, creating a wishing item that possessed powerful Effects but carried a terrifying Curse.

The player’s Monkey Hand would periodically perform criminal acts such as Stealing and robbing outside of the player’s control, putting them in awkward situations. At the same time, the Monkey Hand would lower NPC affinity, and players could even be mistaken for monsters and barred from entering certain facilities.

The person who designed the Monkey Hand had this to say:

[My original intention behind designing this item (insert a bunch of PR talk here) was just to mess with the players’ minds! But I’m no Devil; the Monkey Hand turns back into a normal arm the next day. It only mutates again if you use the Monkey Hand Magic once more.]

However, once it officially launched and fell into the hands of the players...

[Holy shit! Such a powerful item actually comes with a Special Skill that renders Magic Invalid three times!] — A certain player who used the Monkey Hand to Steal a main storyline Boss’s primary weapon and is still doing whatever they please to this day.

[Everything about this item is great, except it’s a bit annoying that you have to burn through the Monkey Hand Magic three times before using it. Can we just delete that function?] — A certain player who thinks their Monkey Hand is incredibly cool.

[I would like to state for the record that this hand touched the NPC’s butt on its own. It has absolutely nothing to do with me.] — A certain group of players who never tire of it, even after being warned.

It was said that the programmer who created the Monkey Hand had already gone bald. He had become a one-man task force dedicated entirely to monitoring whether players were using his maliciously designed item to pull off anything game-breaking.
