Breaking SSS-Rank Heroines

Jinhae

I sat at the desk long after Minji fled.

The brush dried in the inkstone. The boiling sequence sat finished on the paper beside her birthday pin. Oil lamps burned lower.

Hours crawled.

My left knee throbbed in its usual dull grind. The cane rested against my thigh. I flexed my pale fingers and waited.

Footsteps finally approached outside the door.

”Enter.”

The door slid open.

Ahyun stepped inside carrying a small wooden box clutched tight against her chest. Azure hair stuck to her temples from the night air. Her cream hanfu clung in places from sweat. Her chest rose and fell hard with every breath.

She shut the door with her heel and crossed straight to me.

”Young Master.” Her voice came out breathless. ”I have them. All of them.”

I took the box from her hands. Set it on the desk. Lifted the lid.

Black antler marrow sealed in waxed cloth. Silverneedle mushrooms wrapped in damp leaves. Red sand ginger sliced thin and dried. Three-leaf serpent orchid still fragrant, roots intact.

Perfect.

”Master Gwon tried to question me,” she said quickly. She twisted her fingers together in front of her skirt. ”He asked who sent me. What the ingredients were for. Why a servant girl carried that much silver alone at night. I told him nothing. I said only that my master required discretion. When I placed the pouch on his counter he counted the taels twice and went silent. He packed everything himself after that.”

I looked up from the box.

”Good girl.”

The words hit her. Color flooded her cheeks. She pressed her thighs together under the hanfu — enough for me to notice.

”You did well, Ahyun.”

Another shiver ran through her. Her lips parted. She stared at the floorboards.

”Th-thank you, Young Master.”

”Very good girl.”

She made a tiny sound in her throat. The flush reached her ears. I could smell her again — that same tangy slick rising from between her legs. She had changed undergarments hours ago and already ruined the new ones on the way back.

I closed the lid.

”Should I leave you alone now?” she whispered. ”If you need rest before… before the fight preparations…”

”No.”

Her head snapped up.

”I need you here.” I kept my voice calm. ”Stay.”

”Y-yes, Young Master.”

”Bring me a small cauldron from the kitchen. And a mortar. Stone if they have it. Pestle too. Don’t wake the household.”

She bowed so fast her azure hair swung forward.

”At once.”

She left in a rush. The door slid shut. Her footsteps faded toward the service corridors.

I opened the box again and laid each ingredient out on clean paper. Measured them with my eyes the way the footnotes demanded.

Ahyun returned sooner than expected. Arms full. Small iron cauldron. Heavy stone mortar. Wooden pestle. She set them on the low table near the brazier without being told. Then she knelt opposite me and waited. Hands on her thighs. Back straight.

”Good girl,” I said again.

She bit her lower lip.

I pointed.

”Marrow first. Unwrap it. Place it in the mortar. Crush until it turns to paste. No large pieces left.”

She obeyed instantly. Fingers careful. She unwrapped the waxed cloth. Dropped the dark marrow into the stone bowl. Both hands on the pestle. She leaned forward to grind.

Every downward press made her breasts swing inside the cotton, brushing the table edge. Soft flesh compressing. Nipples dragging. She pretended not to notice. I watched every bounce.

”Harder,” I told her. ”Finer.”

”Yes, Young Master.”

She put more weight into it. Breasts swaying harder. A soft huff of effort left her lips.

When the marrow became smooth dark paste I nodded.

”Mushrooms next. Tear the caps. Discard the stems. Grind them into the marrow.”

She did it without question. Delicate fingers tearing pale silver flesh. Dropping pieces in. Pestle working again. Her breathing grew shallower.

”Ginger,” I said. ”Crush it separate first. Then fold it in.”

She followed without question. Doubt sat in her eyes—what was this for, why these ingredients, why tonight—but she never voiced it.

”Orchid last. Leaves only. Crush gently. Don’t bruise the oils too early.”

She handled the three-leaf serpent orchid like it might shatter. Soft presses. Careful folds into the growing paste. The mixture turned a deep reddish-black.

I gestured at the cauldron.

”Transfer everything. Add water to the first mark inside. No more.”

She scooped the paste with clean fingers. Scraped every bit. Poured water from the pitcher she had brought. Set the cauldron on the small brazier. Lit the coals with the taper from my desk lamp.

We watched it heat.

I explained while the mixture warmed.

”Slow. Keep the flame under it steady. When it starts to show a light glow we stop. The glow means the essence has bound. Anything longer ruins it.”

”Yes, Young Master.”

She knelt closer to the brazier. One hand ready to adjust the coals. Heat flushed her face further. Sweat beaded at her collarbones and slid into the valley of her cleavage. The cotton stuck there, transparent in patches — dark circles of her areolae showing through.

She stirred with the wooden spoon exactly as I directed. Slow circles. Never scraping the bottom too hard.

Doubt still flickered in her eyes. She glanced at me once.

”Young Master… this will help you? Against Seojun?”

”It is the first step.”

She accepted that. Nodded. Returned to stirring.

The mixture darkened. Thickened. A faint shimmer began at the edges.

”Now,” I said. ”Off the heat.”

She moved the cauldron aside with thick cloths. Set it on the stone pad. The glow held for several heartbeats then settled into a deep glossy sheen.

Silence filled the room except for our breathing.

I looked at her.

”When I drink this I will run a fever. It will last at least two days. I will be weak. Barely able to move at times.”

Her eyes widened.

”I will need you,” I said. ”Caring for me. Cleaning me. Feeding me. Staying close. Minimum two days. No one else. Only you.”

Ahyun’s mouth opened. Closed. She stammered.

”Y-Young Master, of course—you don’t need to worry at all. I will—I will take care of everything. I won’t leave your side. I swear it.”

I reached out.

My fingers slid under her chin. Lifted her face. Those wide azure eyes locked on mine. Lips parted and trembling.

I pulled her in.

The kiss was light — just the press of my mouth to hers for two full seconds. I tasted the faint salt of her sweat.

I released her.

She shuddered hard. A broken little sound escaped her throat. Her whole body trembled. She pressed her thighs together so tight the muscles in her calves stood out.

”Y-Young Master—” she gurgled. Face scarlet. Eyes glassy. ”That was— I—”

I picked up the cauldron.

Brought it to my lips.

Drank.

The tonic scorched going down. I swallowed every drop. Tilted the cauldron until nothing remained.

I set it down empty.

The blue screens exploded across my vision.

Heat slammed into me. Fire rolling out from my gut, up my spine, down into the ruined leg. My vision swam. Sweat burst across my skin. The formal robes stuck to me.

”Ahyun—”

She was already moving.

”I’ve got you. Lie back. Please. On the bed.”

I let her help me. Soft hands under my arms. Her breasts pillowing against my side as she half-carried me the short distance. She eased me down onto the sleeping mat. Stripped the outer robe. Loosened the inner layers. Cool cloth appeared from somewhere. She pressed it to my forehead.

The fever climbed fast.

By the time the lamps burned out I was burning alive.

Ahyun never left.

She changed the cloths every time they warmed. Trickled water between my lips. When chills hit she covered me. When the heat spiked she peeled the blankets back and wiped my chest, my arms, my throat. Her hands were gentle. Sometimes her fingers lingered too long. Sometimes her breasts brushed my arm or chest while she leaned over.

I caught fragments through the haze.

Her voice soft. ”Drink, Young Master. Just a little more.”

The press of a cool cloth down my stomach.

Her breath catching when my cock hardened under the thin sheet from the fever dreams. She pretended not to see.

Night bled into day.

She fed me thin broth in careful spoonfuls. Wiped my mouth after. Changed my sweat-soaked inner robes twice. Bathed my body with warm water and clean rags when the fever sweat turned sour. Her hands moved over my chest. My stomach. My thighs.

I felt the changes even through the fire.

The grind in the left knee faded first — sharp agony to deep ache to distant memory. My arms felt denser. Chest tighter. Muscle filling where atrophy had hollowed me out.

Ahyun noticed.

On the morning of the second day her hands paused while wiping my shoulders.

”Young Master… your skin. It looks… different. Healthier.”

I managed a rasp.

”Keep going.”

She did.

By afternoon the fever broke in waves. Sweat poured out of me in sheets. She stripped the soaked cloths. Dried me. Dressed me in fresh robes. Fed me thicker porridge.

Night of the second day.

The last of the heat drained out of my bones.

I opened my eyes fully.

Clear.

Ahyun sat beside the mat in the low lamplight. Azure hair messy. Hanfu wrinkled. Dark circles under her eyes. She had not slept more than minutes in two days. A bowl of cool water rested in her lap. Cloth in her hands. She was watching my face with worry.

I swung my legs over the side of the mat.

Planted both feet on the floorboards.

And stood. No cane.

The left knee took my weight cleanly. Stronger than it had ever been in this body. Muscles in my thighs and calves flexed with new density.

Ahyun’s eyes went huge.

The bowl slipped from her hands. Water splashed across the floor. She scrambled backward on her knees, mouth open.

”Young Master—!”

Her voice cracked.

”Your leg— the cane— you’re standing— how—?!”

I looked down at her.

At the soaked spot still visible between her thighs even after two days of caretaking.

I smiled.

”Come here, Ahyun.”

She crawled to me on her knees without hesitation. Stopped at my feet. Looking up. Trembling.

I rested my hand on her head. Fingers sliding into azure hair.

”Good girl,” I said quietly. ”You took perfect care of me.”

She shattered into fresh blushes and tiny whimpers. Pressed her face against my thigh. Arms wrapping weakly around my leg. Her breasts molding against my shin through the robe.

”I was so scared,” she whispered against my skin. ”I thought… But I stayed. I did everything.”

”I know.”

I let her cling there a moment longer. Feeling the new strength in my body. The absence of pain.

Two days gone.

Five left until the courtyard.

And Ahyun was already on her knees for me.

I stroked her hair once.

”We’re just getting started.”
