Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 2812: Chapter 2813: Royal Teacher and the Flourishing King

The King of Huainan has always been fair in rewards and punishments when commanding troops! However, he is also extremely strict!

In any battle, any general who makes mistakes is severely punished, and any general captured by the enemy, no matter who they are, is to be executed without mercy! Because under the King of Huainan, there is no shortage of generals, and as he puts it, being captured by the enemy means they are useless and have no right to survive!

So, having been captured by Ye Luo, from a certain point of view, they are indeed captives, and even if the King of Huainan does not sentence them to death, severe punishment is warranted!

Yet the tone of the King of Huainan clearly suggests he does not intend to pursue this matter, which makes them feel somewhat guilty.

”I understand your thoughts, but this time, what you faced were not enemies, but the future Royal Teacher!”

Upon hearing this, their faces changed drastically!

What kind of person is a Royal Teacher among the nobility? In fact, by now, it has been unknown how many years since there was a mention of a Royal Teacher!

Moreover, this title should be referred to as the Imperial Advisor! Back then, when the Royal Family was gradually declining, they specially invited some prodigies. These prodigies were not only deeply cultivated but also versed in politics, specially assisting the Emperor in an attempt to change the decadent situation.

In the beginning, the effects were indeed significant, and under the counsel of the Imperial Advisor, the dignity of the Royal Family gradually rose.

However, this flourishing was short-lived! This Imperial Advisor was truly formidable. Initially, there were a total of 102 candidates invited by the Royal Family, but in the end, only one was chosen! Moreover, the Royal Family had a clear stipulation that the Imperial Advisor must not interfere with court politics, could only provide advice, and were forbidden from holding any real power!

Yet this particular Imperial Advisor gained the trust of the Emperor, not only interfering in court politics but also wielding substantial authority!

In the end, he even became a king! And it was precisely the emergence of this king that eventually doomed the entire Royal Family!

And this king was the ancestor of the King of Huainan’s lineage! After taking control of the court, he did not claim the throne, but instead abolished the title of Emperor!

From then on, the king was also the Emperor! However, at that time, he was not the only king, but his power and strength were absolutely the strongest. Yet, surprisingly, he coexisted peacefully with the other kings!

What exactly happened among them is unknown, but this lineage has an ancestral precept, which is exceptionally peculiar.

Firstly, that king established a position known as Royal Teacher! This Royal Teacher is equivalent to the former Imperial Advisor!

Moreover, he specially invited a Royal Teacher, who was initially unremarkable. Yet strangely, not long after, this king put the Royal Teacher to death! Furthermore, he decreed that thereafter, the Royal Family must not have a Royal Teacher, but the position was to be retained.

In fact, other kings did not have the position of Royal Teacher, nor did they plan to appoint one!

Imagine, who would bring in someone to dictate their actions? This would entirely interfere with the exercise of power! For a ruler, this is a major taboo.

Of course, this was the public reason, but internally, this ancestor of the King of Huainan issued a secret edict! Only the kings of this lineage have the right to open it!

That is, the Royal Family must not have a Royal Teacher, yet the Royal Family cannot be without a Royal Teacher!

Though this statement seems contradictory, it entails a significant meaning that others cannot fathom, interpreted only by the King of Huainan. Today, he finally allowed the Royal Family to have a Royal Teacher.

And several of the Great General and the other powerful figures had heard some tales about the Royal Teacher. Naturally, they couldn’t have come into contact with the secret edict, but they knew that a Royal Teacher must first be capable, and secondly, a Royal Teacher implies betrayal!

Thus, the Great General and the others somewhat understood the King of Huainan’s intentions. This young man possesses significant abilities, which is evident to all, and he will bring prosperity to the Royal Family! But his heart is not upright, and he might betray the clan in the future, therefore, he must be dealt with, he must be eliminated!

Naturally, Ye Luo cannot know the mysteries within, as he has only recently arrived in the Demon Realm, and he hasn’t bothered to investigate the history of the Royal Family.

However, he senses some oddity in the expressions of the Great General and the others.

When the King of Huainan mentioned appointing him as the Royal Teacher, those powerful figures paused for a moment, and then their eyes showed respect, but there was even more wariness!

What exactly was this position of Royal Teacher, combined with the King of Huainan’s previous demands on Ye Luo, he now understood what was happening! Yet, through all this, he immediately realized that this position might not be so simple.

”What are you still standing there for? Aren’t you going to pay respects to the Royal Teacher!” the King of Huainan frowned and said.

Immediately, the Great General and the other powerful figures knelt before Ye Luo! This gesture was identical to the one they used for the King of Huainan, which shows just how esteemed the position of Royal Teacher is.

”Next, I have another decision, that from now on I will devote myself to cultivation, and my son Nameless shall inherit the throne!” declared the Great General.

The several powerful figures were not surprised, as they had obviously heard of this news. In such a matter of great importance, the King of Huainan could not have kept it entirely from his confidants.

”In the future, you all must assist Nameless in becoming the next King, and obey the orders of the Royal Teacher! I hope with your support, my son will achieve a prosperous era! And let the Royal Family continue to prosper! Thus, once my son inherits the throne, he will be named the Prosperous King!”

Normally, the name of the King is given by the previous King, but the King of Huainan was an exception; he named himself. He held in his heart the Princess Die Er and his beloved son Nameless, and since the gathering place of the Demon Race was to the south of the third faction, he named himself the King of Huainan.

At the time, the previous King was strongly opposed to this, as the name was linked to the Demon Race, which was a major taboo, but the King of Huainan resisted all opposition and stuck to his decision.

”Bow to the Prosperous King!”

Several powerful figures immediately knelt; this was the master to whom they would vow their loyalty in the future.

”You may all rise!” Nameless called out, feeling somewhat uncomfortable.

Since he was born, he had spent most of his time in a dungeon, and now people were bowing to him; if he could adapt to this, it would indeed be strange.

”Let’s end this matter here for now. The subsequent events must wait until we return to the Royal Family to hold the inheritance ceremony, but regarding that legendary treasure, has there been any change?” The King of Huainan suddenly asked.

”Your Highness, soldiers have been guarding that area continuously, but the number of powerful figures around it keeps increasing, and I fear this time we face considerable pressure!” the Great General immediately replied.

”Naturally!” the King of Huainan sighed. ”After all, it is the Divine Weapon of the ancient War God, containing the War God’s essence blood. Even obtaining a fragment could greatly increase one’s cultivation, and it’s rumored that when the Mozi Sword reappears, it will unlock an ancient secret of great benefit to the discoverer, stirring the hearts of any strong figure! In front of those rare and powerful figures, the role of an army is insignificant!”
