Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 2291: Chapter 2292: Sumeru City Falls

None of them wanted to leave, but they understood the situation clearly.

In defeat, they lost face in front of these disciples, and even if they stayed, they would hold their heads low.

More importantly, it’s the attitude of the Sect Master! They had a pact with the Sect Master, and now they’ve offended him again. Future cultivation resources would be out of the question, so what’s the point in staying?

With their strength, they’d be welcomed in any power they choose to join.

”Are we just letting them leave?” Ye Luo frowned and said.

These Elders have been in the Zi Wei Sect for many years and know too many of its secrets. If they joined another Sect, it would be dangerous for Zi Wei Sect.

Zi Wei Fairy gave a casual smile, ”I am aware of this. Do you think I’m so foolish?”

Ye Luo nodded slightly and stopped concerning himself with it.

The few Elders soon left Zi Wei Sect, and immediately, a white light ignited on their bodies.

Instantly, a look of joy appeared on their faces.

”The restriction on us has finally been lifted, we are free!” one of the Elders exclaimed joyfully.

”Humph, since Zi Wei Sect treated me this way, don’t blame me for being rude. The Returner Alliance had already extended an olive branch with far better offers than Zi Wei Sect. Now I can only join the Returner Alliance!” one Elder laughed triumphantly.

After all, the Returner Alliance was much stronger than Zi Wei Sect.

”Isn’t this inappropriate? We’ve been in Zi Wei Sect for many years, we have feelings for it. Even if we join other factions, we shouldn’t do anything to harm Zi Wei Sect!”

One Elder frowned.

But at these words, the other Elders snickered.

”You are too naïve. After how Zi Wei Sect treated us, you still say not to harm it? I even wish for Zi Wei Sect to be destroyed right now! This time, I will reveal all of Zi Wei Sect’s secrets to other Sects!” an older Elder said viciously.

But just as she finished speaking, her expression changed drastically. A pale flame appeared on her, and in almost an instant, the flame’s momentum surged and engulfed her completely.

She struggled violently within the flames, but there was no escape, and she was reduced to ashes in nearly an instant!

Immediately, the other Elders were as silent as cicadas in cold weather!

”Ah, damn it, why do I have such a flame too?” another Elder screamed in terror.

Not only her, soon the other Elders were swallowed by the flames as well!

In just a few breaths, those Elders turned to ashes.

Only one Elder remained, the one who advocated not harming Zi Wei Sect.

At this moment, the Sect Master’s figure unexpectedly appeared before her.

”Paying respects to Sect Master!” she hurriedly knelt down, the previous scene having frightened her immensely.

”You can get up. I’ve seen everything before. You remain loyal to Zi Wei Sect. Come back and continue to be an Elder in Zi Wei Sect. I know you were previously swayed by them!”

Hearing this, the Elder’s face showed joy!

”Thank you, Sect Master!”

For this Elder, this was the best outcome possible.

”What about the restriction, Sect Master?”

The Sect Master smiled immediately, ”I can see your loyalty, so there’s no need for the restriction. From now on, Elder resources will be maximized, so cultivate diligently and let us overcome the current crises together!”

Meanwhile, Ye Luo was distributing the essence to the disciples.

Each disciple’s face was full of joy. With these resources, their cultivation would receive a huge boost.

Soon, the large vial of essence was distributed completely, and at this point, the disciples looked at Ye Luo with a different expression!

”With these resources, you must strive harder in your cultivation. I might as well tell you, Zi Wei Sect is currently in danger. I hope we can overcome this crisis together!”

However, the disciples didn’t feel much of a threat, as they believed that even if the sky falls, there will be someone taller to hold it up.

After finishing all this, Ye Luo left the disciples.

In the next few days, Zi Wei Fairy made contact with Divine Martial Sect and other Sects. As Ye Luo had expected, upon learning that Zi Wei Sect was offering those essences as terms, they immediately agreed.

Of course, with them agreeing so quickly, it seemed insincere. It would naturally not be as reliable as the Wind Cloud Sect. Moreover, Zi Wei Fairy didn’t directly give away the essences.

Nonetheless, a South Territory Alliance had vaguely formed.

Sincere or not, it’s something all these Sects were delighted to see.

After all, if the South Territory didn’t unite, it could very likely be defeated one by one by the inland forces.

Other powers realized this too and naturally saw the inland powers’ ambitions.

And thus, the battle finally began!

The cause was the Myriad Beasts Sect’s disciples causing trouble in Sumeru City, leading to Sumeru City’s Guard to suppress it!

It was supposed to be a simple matter, but more and more people got involved, eventually turning into a struggle!

A large number of Myriad Beasts Sect disciples appeared, followed by Returner Alliance cultivators who appeared out of nowhere.

Eventually, even figures from the Dragon Clan showed up.

At this point, disciples of inland major forces started appearing one after another, indicating that these forces were already prepared.

Otherwise, how could it be such a coincidence for them to all show up in an instant?

The whole of Sumeru City shook violently.

After all, it was the protection of the Great Array that shielded it from the rampant Law force.

However, this Great Array had its limits; if attacked fiercely, it could collapse!

If it collapsed, Sumeru City would be invaded by rampant Law, and the previous stability would be lost.

Because of this, the city’s Guard dared not to exert full power, leading to their quick retreat and heavy casualties.

Not only that! More inland cultivators emerged, along with overseas Sect forces.

It appeared that the three great forces, except for the Dragon Clan, had been busy, having already subdued many small Sects and small forces.

Evidently, the goal of these forces was no longer just Ye Luo, for aside from the Dragon Clan, the others weren’t in urgent need of capturing him.
