Peerless Divine Doctor

Chapter 2206: Chapter 2207: Strike First to Gain the Upper Hand

It was apparent that these elders had almost reached a state of having no desires, living each day as it came, and thus didn’t harbor any particular thoughts.

Even the other middle-aged people mostly had hidden injuries or Innate defects, which had prematurely ended their path in cultivation, or they simply had average talents and had reached a bottleneck.

Although these people weren’t as passionate as the elders, they had no improper intentions towards Ye Luo.

After all, who among those coming to this small tribe could be considered of a high status?

This indeed saved Ye Luo a lot of trouble, and so, he went to a corner and began to cultivate on his own.

Of course, he certainly couldn’t cultivate his realm; he had compressed his realm to the Fifth Level. If he were to release his Spiritual Power, the elders would inevitably notice, and by then, it would be difficult for him to stay in this tribe!

There are quite a few such tribes in this South Territory, and they are both hidden and mobile, not necessarily catching the attention of the Dragon Clan!

Even if the Dragon Clan noticed, could they check every single one?

Right now, Ye Luo was focusing on Body Refinement!

After all, as long as the environment permitted, the potential of the Great Saint Physique could be said to be unlimited.

Therefore, he slowly absorbed the violent Power of Laws in the air; for him, this was an extremely painful process.

Because these irregular powers of Law were rampaging inside his body, wreaking havoc, causing his body to start trembling.

His face turned pale, and even certain parts of his body began to seep blood.

However, even so, others did not spare Ye Luo another glance.

Because in this tent, there wasn’t a single normal person!

Soon, it was the day to distribute resources!

After all, even the smallest tribe needs to give its members resources to keep functioning, otherwise the tribe would lack cohesion.

To the tribe members, this was a much-anticipated day.

Early in the morning, these tribe members stood in front of the Clan Leader’s tent.

Although Ye Luo didn’t care for these meager resources, he couldn’t reveal himself just because of this.

During this process, Ye Luo noticed a frail little girl, probably only fifteen or sixteen, with a pretty face yet wearing dirty clothes and a sickly pale complexion!

It was clear that this little girl was severely injured and wouldn’t live much longer!

To his surprise, the little girl noticed him too, albeit just taking another look at Ye Luo.

Because the Clan Leader had come out of the tent, holding a large bag, and started distributing resources to the tribe members.

Of course, even the Clan Leader didn’t possess something as advanced as a Qiankun Ring.

When it was Ye Luo’s turn, the resources distributed to him were not even enough to fill his palm!

Yet he still had to express gratitude, which made him smile bitterly inside.

However, as he had only been here for a day and already received resources, it showed the Clan Leader’s character was quite decent.

By receiving cultivation resources, there naturally came obligations, at the very least, serving as a lookout!

A small tribe must always have someone keeping watch outside, or else, in the face of disaster, it would mean utter destruction for such a small tribe!

Therefore, Ye Luo was also assigned to the lookout group.

In this tribe, only the Clan Leader and two Elders were exempt from this duty.

Coincidentally, Ye Luo was assigned together with the little girl and two elders.

Despite her young age, the little girl was at the Fifth Level of the Earth Martial Realm!

For her age, even in a major inland power, she would be considered a talented disciple.

At night, it was Ye Luo’s group’s turn to go out on duty.

To others, performing this duty was certainly a tough task, but to Ye Luo, it was no big deal.

Moreover, he figured the Dragon Clan should be appearing soon; he wouldn’t feel comfortable if others were on watch.

Besides, he had his own plans! The South Territory is so vast, the Dragon Clan would have to spread out to search for him!

Though the city in the sky had entered a small space, his base still existed!

The Mecha could still be utilized.

With the power of the Mecha, eliminating Dragon warriors on their own was more than sufficient!

Since the Dragon Clan didn’t want him to live, there was no need to be merciful! Naturally, it’s best to strike preemptively.

”Big brother, are you new here?”

The little girl looked at him with big, bright eyes.

Ye Luo smiled and nodded, ”Yes, you are so young, how did you end up in the South Territory?”

The little girl pouted, tears welling up in her eyes.

”Ah, this poor child. Her parents were criminals, and she was born here in the South Territory. She grew up in this environment, which has affected her health. She’s completely relying on cultivation resources to keep going, which is a shame. Otherwise, with her talent, she would surely achieve great things in the future!” an elder sighed.

Ye Luo looked at the little girl a bit more; indeed, she was quite pitiful.

”Take these resources,” Ye Luo said.

”Big brother, I can’t take things from others just like that!” She seemed somewhat afraid of Ye Luo; after all, in her eyes, he was still a stranger, far less familiar than the elders.

”Take them; it’s all the same to me whether I have a little more or a little less,” Ye Luo smiled.

In the end, the little girl accepted his cultivation resources.

”By the way, I see you seem to be doing Body Refinement, which is quite suitable for the South Territory,” the elder suddenly spoke.

Ye Luo shook his head with a wry smile, ”I couldn’t progress in my realm, so I started Body Refinement. Otherwise, this environment would have been wasted.”

Of course, he was lying.

But the elder gave him a few more glances, ”Not bad, with this mindset, your future achievements will certainly be remarkable. Who knows, you might even catch the eye of those Great Sects, which would truly mean leading a good life!”

Ye Luo nodded on the surface, but felt quite speechless inside; did they really think that leading a good life was the ultimate goal?

It seemed the harsh climate of the South Territory had not only taken a toll on their bodies but also on their morale!

Soon, they arrived at the watch post!

This place had a simple Maze Formation, making it not easily detectable in such an environment.

While on watch, there was no casual chatting, and even random movements were not allowed!

The little girl also looked tense, her body held rigidly, evidently accustomed to such a lifestyle.

”Not good, there’s a situation!”

Suddenly, the elder let out a low growl, and Ye Luo naturally noticed it too.

In the distance, two figures were rapidly approaching! They were Dragon warriors! It seemed Ye Luo’s prediction was correct; the Dragon Clan had indeed found this place.
