Chapter 1436: Chapter 1437: Ye Luo Gives a Lecture

”Slap!”

A loud slap echoed, Ye Luo acted without the slightest hesitation.

After slapping the young man across the face, Ye Luo continued, ”You want to protect the estate your mother left behind—I can understand that. But at least we have no enmity in the past nor hatred in the present, yet you immediately shouted about fighting and killing us upon meeting. Who do you think you are?”

Ye Luo’s words made the young man pause slightly, or perhaps it was that sudden slap that stunned him.

However, Ye Luo didn’t stop there.

”Slap!”

Another loud slap resounded, and Ye Luo’s voice rang out again, ”We’re buying the estate as a normal transaction with your family. Regardless of whether I want the estate or not—whether I buy it or not—that’s my choice. No matter what, we are still guests of your family. And you? Wanting to protect your mother’s estate, but you don’t dare return home to consult your elders, instead running here to cause trouble—is it that you really think we’re easy to bully?”

These two slaps left the young man completely stupefied.

But habits die hard, and at this moment, the young man recovered from his initial shock, becoming furious in an instant, ”How dare you hit me! How dare you hit me! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill you! What are you all standing there for? Kill them for me!”

The young man screamed angrily at the nearby guards, his eyes filled with hatred.

Ye Luo’s brow arched slightly—he truly didn’t believe he couldn’t tame this brat.

”Boom!”

Ye Luo raised a foot and directly kicked the young man flying. However, before the young man hit the ground, Ye Luo’s figure had already chased after him, landing another punch squarely onto him.

Ye Luo didn’t use his full strength, nor did he strike recklessly—after all, Ye Luo didn’t intend to take his life.

”Swish!”

The Lingyun Sword suddenly appeared, its blade already pressing against the young man’s neck.

”You’re quite arrogant, it seems. Judging by this, you’ve bullied plenty of people in your time, haven’t you? At the slightest disagreement, you shout about fighting and killing? What, do you think you’re invincible? Believe it or not, with just a flick of my hand, your head could roll?”

The young man stared at Ye Luo, his eyes filled with terror, his expression one of utter panic.

”No, no, please don’t kill me! I beg you, don’t kill me!”

To Ye Luo’s surprise, the once unbearably arrogant young man now knelt to the ground, pleading endlessly.

Ye Luo despised those who preyed on the weak and feared the strong. If the boy weren’t so young, Ye Luo would have been tempted to end him with a single strike.

”Now you decide to beg for mercy? And what about earlier? Earlier, did the thought even cross your mind? Imagine if the positions were reversed, with you holding a sword against us while we begged for mercy. Would you agree to spare us?”

”Kid, you’re young, but your temper sure isn’t small. Have you ever considered that there are countless people in this world stronger than you? Always focused on oppressing others—haven’t you thought about what you’d do if one day you faced a true powerhouse?”

”Don’t try to use the excuse that it was because we wanted to buy your mother’s estate that you acted this way towards us. As I’ve already said, this is merely a legitimate business transaction. While the estate may have once been a place your mother lived, don’t forget—it belongs to your family now. What qualifications do you have to interfere? If anything, you should’ve approached your family elders to ensure the estate isn’t sold, and taken responsibility for its management yourself!”

”Coming to cause trouble for us like this—do you really think that solves anything? Fine—imagine we don’t buy it today. Tomorrow, surely someone else will inquire about it. What then? Are you planning to fight each one of them off? Anyone who shows interest in the estate—you plan to return their interest with violence?”

Ye Luo scolded the young man relentlessly, not caring whether the boy understood or wanted to listen.

Initially, the guards around them, upon seeing their master being humiliated, were furious, seemingly ready to fight at any moment. But now, they’d silently backed down, understanding Ye Luo’s true intentions.

In truth, Ye Luo didn’t genuinely want to punish the boy; he merely wanted to impart some lessons to him.

...

Ye Luo spoke at length, repeating everything he wanted to say regardless of whether the boy chose to listen.

Finally, Ye Luo concluded his lecture, ”Remember my words: rather than lamenting the heavens and cursing the earth, focus on improving your strength. Only when you possess true power and catch your family’s attention will you have the qualifications to protect what you wish to protect. Otherwise, you’ll only ever be a clown in the eyes of others!”

With that, Ye Luo turned and walked toward Yun Liancheng and the others, not sparing the seventh young master another glance. To Ye Luo, estates were abundant—if he had money, what estate could he possibly fail to acquire?

As for this one—it wasn’t worth the trouble.

After the group had walked quite a distance, Yun Liancheng asked Ye Luo quizzically, ”Brother Ye, what happened today? This is so unlike you—to personally teach a pampered young heir?”

Ye Luo understood Yun Liancheng’s meaning. In truth, Yun Liancheng believed that if something annoyed Ye Luo, he would simply deal with it physically, never bothering to educate others.

Today, Ye Luo indeed seemed out of character.

But Ye Luo merely chuckled and replied, ”Brother Yun, don’t underestimate him just because he’s a pampered brat younger than you. If you two were to fight, chances are you’d be the one ending up at a disadvantage.”

Yun Liancheng froze slightly—was Ye Luo implying he couldn’t even handle a kid?

Before Yun Liancheng could object, Ye Luo continued without pause.

”That boy possesses a special bloodline. Unfortunately, he lacks proper mentorship—he likely doesn’t even realize he has a special bloodline! If my words resonate with him and he dedicates himself to cultivation, he may achieve great things in the future.”

”What? A special bloodline? You’re saying that boy has a special bloodline?”

Yun Liancheng was astonished. Special bloodlines were rare; the Martial Realm was vast, but in truth, those with special bloodlines were few and far between.

No one had expected the pampered young master earlier to possess one.

Ye Luo nodded slightly but didn’t linger on the subject, instead saying to Yun Liancheng, ”Let’s go. That estate was indeed decent, but since the owner is unwilling, there’s no need to force the matter. We’ll move on to the next one!”

Ye Luo carried a special bloodline himself, and noticing similarities between the boy’s bloodline and the Nine Yang Holy Body, he was able to discern the truth.
