Elian;

I open my eyes, and it’s not the peaceful grogginess of sleep that wakes me up.

No.

It’s anger. Anger that’s suffocating because it’s mangled with irritation and carried over from the last time my eyes were open.

I stare blankly at the ceiling as I feel the irritation bubble under my skin. I try to move, but stop when I realise I’ve been restrained.

I look up at my hands and find that they’ve been chained to the bed.

Queen Cassia chained me up!?

I feel my anger and agitation flare as I stare at the shackles holding me bound like I’m some animal.

”I can’t hold up much longer. We need Koda. An Alpha. Anyone!!” Elien screams in my head, and my throat tightens as the flames under my skin burn hotter.

I know. I can feel his pain. This hunger, this discomfort, this maddening dependency that feels like I’m a hopeless fiend, crumbling from lack of drugs.

”Ahhhh!!!” I scream in agitation, as angry tears flood my eyes, but I pause when a familiar scent hits me.

I freeze and lift my nose to the air to take a proper, deeper breath.

Koda!

He’s here. He’s in this castle too!!

”He’s not just in the castle. His scent is getting stronger. He’s coming!!” Elien notes in excitement, and I rush to sit up. Causing the chains to jangle with my movements.

”Quick. Open the window!” Elien urges, and my brows crease.

”Window??”

”He’s not in the castle. I can... I can smell the difference. He’s scaling the castle walls. Open the window so he can get in!” Elien replies, and this information is like music to my ears.

In untamable excitement, I pull my hands with all my strength, and I see white tiger-like patterns begin to glow under my skin.

I don’t know what made me believe I could do it, but I grunt as I yank harder, and to my shock, the chains come undone. Pulled completely out of the wall, and I stare in shock at my free hands.

I, however, do not have enough time to revel in this, as something starts pounding against one of the windows.

Without missing a beat, I rush off the bed, over to the window.

I pull the blinds aside, and my heart leaps when I see Koda struggling to hold onto the window’s frame.

His fingers are bloody, and my heart sinks as I see them. It must have taken a lot for him to scale these steep walls... just to get to me.

He bangs on the window again, and I quickly unhook it and pull it open. He jumps into the room, and I rush over to him.

I try to reach for his hands, but he cuts off my actions by yanking me to himself, and as his lips crash against mine, I feel air escape my lungs.

”I need you...” He mutters, and excitement erupts like a volcano in my chest as he kisses me.

Our breaths mingle into one as he kisses me desperately. With hunger...

This kiss holds the mad starvation of a man who craves the peace only pleasure can offer.

His grip on my waist tightens as he pulls me closer to him, as if he wishes to merge with me.

His pheromones wrap around my thoughts, and squeeze my mind so tight I feel logic and restraint abandon me.

”Make the pain stop....” I hear Elien whisper, and with that, I feel him significantly vanish.

That pressure in the back of my mind that indicates his presence... It’s gone.

Is this what he meant when he said he’s found a way to disconnect from me?

”Fuck, you smell different... Good different...” Koda breathes, crashing into my thoughts, and I grab his shirt, and I pull him closer to myself.

Elien, the world, warnings, shame... I can worry about all that later. Right now... All that matters... the only thing that matters to me, is the man in front of me... and the things I want him to do to me.

He breaks the kiss, and my heart starts pounding in glee I can’t tame as his wet lips begin to trail kisses down my jaw... to my neck.... Down to my collarbone.

I tilt my neck to give him better access, and a moan escapes me as he places his tongue against my pulse. He closes his mouth against the skin there, and my knees almost buckle as he sucks ever so gently.

He nibbles lightly, and as his teeth tease the vein there, my desire flares.

He buries his nose in the crook of my neck, and my lower body instantly begins to respond to his touch.

”Your scent is stronger here...” He says huskily as he takes a deep breath, and my throat runs dry.

He trails kisses back up my neck and chin, till his lips find mine again.

His lips lock with my already plump ones, and my heart starts hammering as I feel him begin to undo the knot holding my pants up.

He manages to get it undone, and I feel goosebumps rise along my skin as he slides his hand into the band of my pants.

I hold my breath as he takes his hands to my bottom, and in my pants, I shut my eyes in maddening anticipation as his fingers find my entrance.

He breaks the kiss and wraps his free hand firmly around my throat. Firm enough to excite me, and lose enough to let me breathe.

I let out a whimperish moan as his fingers tease the rim of my entrance, and he smirks at me.

He slides a finger into me, and my head rolls back at the delectable feeling.

He pulls his fingers out of me and out of my pants. He holds up his now slippery fingers for me to see, and I feel my cheeks heat up.

”Look how wet you’ve gotten... I haven’t even done anything yet...” He teases, and I stare at him for only a second before my filthy instincts take over.

I lean on my tiptoes as I swallow his wet fingers into my mouth. He stares at me with wide eyes, and I smirk at him as I pull away.

”Then do something...” I whisper, and the awe on his face turns into an impressed smirk that promises to feed the hunger burning inside me like the pits of hell.

Whatever’s about to happen... It’s the answer to my prayers.
