The Golem Mage

The Shaman was taken aback to discover that the knight’s spell had rendered him completely restrained, unable to move a muscle.

”Does that feel familiar to you?, Yeah, that’s revenge for back then,”

the knight breathed heavily while speaking, He realized that trapping a Tier 3 lifeform wasn’t as easy as he had made it seem during his speech.

However, the Shaman wasn’t worried about that, His concern still lay with Agnes, who had finally finished casting the spell that has been hindering her from participating fully in the fight.

The moment the Earth spear hurtled towards him, the shaman felt every organ in his body scream danger, yet he remained frozen, unable to move a single muscle.

The earth spear, spinning rapidly due to the water snake wrapped around it, found its mark and pierced the orc shaman’s heart, killing him swiftly.

As the shaman’s life was swiftly and cleanly taken, Knight released a heavy sigh and collapsed to the ground, feeling his strength drain from his body.

He hadn’t anticipated such immediate danger upon entering the orckish forest, It left him pondering what other challenges awaited them.

”I can’t believe we have to stay here for five days, It’s clear they’re trying to get us killed,”

the knight protested, lying on the ground, The other four Gordons clansmen nodded, agreeing entirely with his perspective on why they had been forced into the Abyss Realm.

”It doesn’t matter, All I know is that we won’t die here, but instead come out stronger than ever, Don’t tell me you don’t trust Alec, brother, He wouldn’t do something unless he’s sure,”

Arthur said as he unsummoned his golem, Just then, they heard footsteps and quickly readied their tired bodies, assuming battle stances.

If there was one thing the orckish forest had taught them, it was to be prepared for sneak attacks.

However, they relaxed their vigilance slightly when they saw who was approaching, Nevertheless, they still held onto their weapons until they saw Alec walking towards them, with both Legion and Titan at his sides.

”Ah, the boss is here,”

Knight chimed in as Brandon carefully returned his sword and saber to their sheaths, making sure to cover them up properly.

” how in the world were you able to defeat an Orc shaman?, It’s a lifeform that can go head to head with a newly promoted Tier 4 Mage!” James exclaimed in disbelief.

The expressions on the other mages’ faces showed that they were equally astonished by what the Gordons Clansmen had achieved.

”Well, boys, it’s simple, We defeated him by working together, clearly,” Arthur spoke up, unable to resist making a comment, However, James’ expression remained unchanged.

”That’s impossible!, If Shamans could be taken down by a group of Tier 2 mages, why would shamans be Dreaded ?” one of James’ companions questioned.

Arthur simply shrugged, unable to offer a better explanation than the fact that they had managed to defeat the shaman themselves.

This revelation was a lot for James and his Mage group to process, They had always looked down upon the Gordons’s group due to their realm, but now they had to come to terms with the fact that the mages they had underestimated had achieved the seemingly impossible.

”What are you all standing around for?, Quickly extract the power stone from his chest and see if he’s managed to manifest anything else of interest,”

Alec suggested, rubbing his hands together with anticipation. Although, when the members of the wild adventurer group caught sight of his smile, they couldn’t help but find it rather sinister.

”I’ve told you before, Alec, try to smile less like that, If you don’t stop, people might mistake you for a criminal based on your laughter alone,” Agnes complained.

”And so what? We’re already treated like outlaws anyway, I don’t think you quite understand our situation here, Agnes, They want us out, so what’s wrong with embracing the role of the ’bad guy...”

Just as Arthur was about to continue speaking, a loud knock on his head interrupted him.

And They all turned to see Arthur sprawled on the ground, with his tongue peeking out, His gaze met Alec’s, silently pleading for protection.

However, it seemed like the desired effect didn’t happen, Not only Alec, but every other member of the Gordons clansmen looked away, avoiding eye contact with Arthur, They weren’t willing to intervene or get on Agnes’ bad side.

There was an unwritten rule in the Gordons clan, a rule that everyone practically followed but never talked about.

It was to always respect those of the female gender and never harm them unless absolutely necessary, And when it came to arguing with a Gordons female, one should always be prepared to lose miserably.

That was why the rest of the group acted as if they couldn’t see Arthur, He was the only foolish one constantly seek trouble with Agnes.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in another city, Instructor Terran was walking out of a space axis that had led him directly to Latvia city.

He took a moment to breathe in the scent of the surroundings before hebent to feel the earth with a touch of his hands.

His eyes closed as he sensed the environment, feeling an overwhelming sense of worry for his new set of disciples back at the academy.

”I should have contacted Tyson to watch over them, No, I have to trust Alec with this one, I’m sure he will step up, I just need to have faith,”

Terran thought to himself, getting lost in his thoughts and forgetting where he was.

”What? An instructor? Just an instructor?, nota great instructor, Why would they send a Tier 7 Mage?, If all we wanted was a Tier 7 Mage, there would be no reason to ask for their assistance, We have plenty of capable Tier 7 Mages, Even if they were to send a Tier 7 Mage, why only one person? Is the War God Mage Academy trying to mock us?”

Someone stepped forward, their words filled with anger and disgust.

Terran was jolted awake by the rudeness of their statement and gave them a hard stare, trying to remember if their paths had ever crossed before to warrant such offensive comments.
