The Golem Mage

Every young Mage and instructor in the hall had their eyes glued to the floating list in the sky, They held their breath, not wanting to miss a single moment as they wanted to capture every moment.

As they watched, two names turned grey, with the number 7 pasted beside their names in bronze colour, The whole area gasped in surprise, However, they soon realized that neither of the greyed-out names belonged to the Gordon clan mages that seems to have been receiving alot of attention lately.

One of the greyed out names was Lucas Blade, and the other happened to be Pale Zero, a member of the ancient Zero clan.

Pale Zero clan was a rival of the Ancient Blaze Clan, but he had been sent to a distant region outside the control of the Zero clan, It was clear that he either came from a branch family of the Zero clan and couldn’t garner support from the main family, hence coming to the War God Mage Academy, or he was a member of the main clan whose talent couldn’t match up to the core geniuses that the clan plans to nurture with the clan resources.

A few seconds after their names greyed out on the screen, they were ejected out of the tower and came out, Pale Zero was clad in a sky blue clan robe, while Lucas Blade emerged in battle armor.

Lucas emanated an excess amount of bloodlust, his every step resonating with a slow, yet menacing aura, He reached the floating screen faster than even Pale Zero as his slows steps were actually sword steps it was a Agility cultivation technique exclusive to the Blade clan from another empire, Lucas eyes were fierce and slanted like that of a demonic beast.

As his cultivation level escaped, releasing a wave of mana fluctuations, those weaker than him staggered backward. A bystander warned

”He has stepped into the Tier 3 Mage realm, Step away from him, or you might be injured just from his aura.” The crowd quickly moved away, realizing the danger.

Just as Lucas’ bloodlust aura threatened to reach the surrounding mages, a blue chilling aura met his bloodthirsty aura, instantly canceling each other out.

Lucas raised his head and looked at Pale, His aura ceased it’s spread and gathered around him as he reached for the massive great sword behind him.

Swiping his sword towards Pale, the mages in the hall scattered, wanting to keep as far away as possible from the two raging individuals.

While the instructors were expected to step forward and intervene, it seemed they had no intention to do so, The War God Mage Academy was known to be a lawless academy where only the strongest ruled.

A very sharp and dazzling Sword Qi swept through the hall, rushing towards Pale, With a swift motion, Pale clapped his hands together, summoning a strong and sturdy ice wall that emerged from the ground.

The clash was intense, as the sword Qi destroyed the ice wall, sending debris flying, But even the sword Qi dissipated along with the ice wall, leaving Lucas perplexed, It was the second time his power had been countered.

”You are strong. I want to battle with you,” Lucas said, grinning and revealing his set of canine teeth, Just as they were preparing to clash again, the light of the eighth level flashed, capturing their attention and causing them to momentarily forget about their fight.

That is the fourth person to enter the eighth level of the tower, I think our academy’s era is about to begin, with so many geniuses appearing simultaneously,” remarked Instructor Duran with a weak smile.

He had once been eager to recruit all the geniuses who reached the seventh level of the tower, but now he realized how insignificant those geniuses with lesser potential seemed to the great instructors of the academy.

Even though there were already two such mages present, the great instructors turned a blind eye to them as if they didn’t exist.

The allure of a genius capable of reaching the eighth level at registration was enough to make them act irrationally, he really wanted to walk to those genius and swoop them off but when he thought of how those Great Instructors were irrational and might get angry at his move he decided to stay put

It was clear that if they could not get genuis who have reached the eight level they shall go for the next best, as they won’t want to go back empty handed.

Meanwhile, Lucas and Pale put their battle on hold as their attention was drawn to the names on the floating screen once again, Two more names turned grey, and everyone in the hall grew even more curious.

This time, it was two members of the Gordon clan who were knocked out at the seventh level, The mages breathed a sigh of relief, happy that the Gordon clan’s invincibility had been broken.

Agnes and Knight Gordons emerged from the tower, looking tired but filled with excitement.

Although the mages in the hall were glad that the Gordons clan had finally stumbled, they couldn’t help but notice that out of the remaining four participants, three were still from the Gordon clan.

Despite this, the great instructors spared only a glance for Agnes, Knight, Lucas, and Pale before diverting their attention elsewhere, It was clear that something else had caught their interest they just quickly registered there face in there mind.

Finally, the four participants who had reached the eighth level were revealed: Keira Phantomlock, Alec Gordons, Brandon Gordons, and Arthur Gordons.

The floating screen scattered, surprising many mages. However, the instructors who were aware of the situation wore shocked expressions as they quickly turned their attention to the tower.

Someone had entered the ninth level, and the golden glow shining at the top of the tower couldn’t be faked, A true monstrous genius had entered the tower once again.

As another dark light appeared on the ninth level alongside the golden light, the entire hall of mages was left dumbfounded.

”There are two people who have reached the ninth level! Quick, go call the Dean!” an old great instructor who had just come out of seclusion shouted, grasping the significance of the event.

The old man who was sitting with Instructor Duran was back again, and this time his tiredness was evident from the lazy expression on his face.

With a yawn escaping his lips, he couldn’t help but contemplate his unlucky circumstances.

”Just how unlucky can I be?”, he mumbled to himself, his voice filled with frustration. Enjoy exclusive adventures from NovelFire.Côm

”Why can’t I just rest in peace? Who would have thought they would still find a way to bring me back after I escaped.”

Gazing at the towering structure before him, he shook his head, refusing to let himself get worked up any further.

He knew he had enough troubles of his own to deal with and wasn’t ready to fight for any of the new students.

Having a brilliant disciple came with the unfortunate consequence of having less time to sleep, something he could never fully accept.
