Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1503: Chapter 1518: Why Poison the Dog Too?

”Wha... what? My sister made this?”

Lin Junyang looked like he’d seen a ghost, glancing between Gu Haoyu and Lin Ruonan. Seeing the latter with a proud and admiring look, he was sure he must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed today.

Lin Junyang calmly closed his eyes and opened them again. Lin Ruonan’s gaze had already shifted away from Gu Haoyu, and indeed, this was the correct way to open his eyes.

”Since my sister made it, I definitely have to taste it. I’ve grown up this much, yet I’ve never eaten a meal cooked by my sister.”

While speaking, Lin Junyang angled his chopsticks sharply, darting directly towards that steamed fish at a speed faster than lightning, with a skillful flick, he picked a piece of fish belly, and with a challenging look at Gu Haoyu, he leisurely put the piece of fish in his mouth.

An overwhelming taste of fishiness and bitterness instantly filled his entire mouth. Lin Junyang’s challenging expression immediately turned into one of immense suffering. Just as he was about to spit out the source of the taste, he was met with a fierce and icy glare.

He had no doubt that if he really spat out this mouthful of fish, he could kiss the apartment he’d been dreaming about goodbye.

Indeed, knowing his brother’s protective nature and his limitless devotion to his wife, he absolutely would do such a thing, regardless of whether he was his brother-in-law.

Lin Junyang quickly stuffed a large mouthful of rice into his mouth. Good, the rice had changed the taste a bit, but it had faded the original taste significantly. He swallowed the rice with tears in his eyes, suddenly thinking of a certain silly woman’s cooking, he nearly burst into tears.

He missed that fool, missed her spicy crayfish.

This insolent couple in front of him could feed him dog food, but why poison the dog as well?

”How is it? How is it?” Lin Ruonan watched Lin Junyang eat the fish piece, her eyes shimmering charmingly like peach blossoms, looking at him with a hopeful expression.

What could he say?

Although he knew very well that at this moment, with his soldier’s upright and honest nature, he should righteously demand to know what she had done to this innocent fish—it’s simply inedible. But was he brave enough?

”Very... good, Sis, I didn’t expect your cooking to be this... good,” Lin Junyang complimented while clutching his chest.

God knows how painful his conscience is for saying such words against his better judgment.

”Is that so?” Lin Ruonan’s smile grew even larger. ”Brother also said my cooking was great. If it’s delicious, you should have more,” Lin Ruonan said, picking up her chopsticks again, ready to place another piece of fish in Lin Junyang’s bowl.

”No need,” Lin Junyang shouted, then realized his reaction was too intense, and with a cheerful laugh, he used his chopsticks to gently redirect Lin Ruonan’s, ”This is a love-packed lunch my sister made for her husband. How could I be so shameless and eat it all? Let’s leave it for Brother-in-law to slowly enjoy it.”

The last few words, Lin Junyang spoke with clenched back teeth while the latter wore a calm expression. He picked up his own bowl to proactively receive the fish from Lin Ruonan’s chopsticks, ”You’ve worked hard, honey. I’ll take care of it myself.”

Lin Ruonan shyly lowered her head and placed the fish in Gu Haoyu’s bowl, ”Recently, I’ve been staying at home, doing nothing, even reducing my usual training by ninety percent. How is that considered tiring? It’s Brother who works hard every day and has to take care of me.”

”Burp~” Lin Junyang felt that he was full even before finishing his meal.
