Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1321: Chapter 1335: Looks Like We Might Have a Baby on the Way

Lin Ruonan saw the message and it was too late to stop it.

”Why did you tell Brother? It’s not a big deal, maybe I just lazed around at home for a few days without training, which caused some digestive issues.”

She could imagine how overly meticulous her brother would react upon knowing she was admitted to the hospital feeling unwell.

Sure enough, less than a minute after An Ran sent the message, Lin Ruonan got a call from her brother.

Lin Ruonan gave An Ran a helpless look and answered the phone, ”Hello, Brother.”

”Wow, still calling him Brother? You should have changed that by now,” An Ran quipped with a hint of sarcasm.

Lin Ruonan, like a little quail, just kept nodding her head, ”It’s nothing serious, just a bit of a stomach upset. Ran and Xiao Xiao insisted on taking me to the hospital for a check-up.”

”It’s no big deal, it’s just that Ruonan might be expecting a little baby in her belly,” Xiao Xiao chimed in while Lin Ruonan was on the phone.

As a result, the whole car went silent in an instant, and you could even hear everyone’s breathing clearly.

”A baby?”

On the other end of the phone, Gu Haoyu exclaimed, and Lin Ruonan snapped back, ”No... nothing like that. Don’t listen to their nonsense, they’re just joking.”

But by the end, she herself was feeling uncertain.

”Which hospital are you going to? I’m coming over right now,” said Gu Haoyu, unable to hold back any longer. An Ran even heard the sound of things crashing down on his side.

Lin Ruonan didn’t reply to Gu Haoyu and hung up directly. When she looked at her forehead, sweat was faintly appearing.

An Ran reached out and held her slightly trembling hand, ”Sister-in-law, don’t be nervous, did you hear that? Brother is probably more nervous than you. Think about Brother, do you feel better now?”

Lin Ruonan shook her pale face, ”No, I feel even more nervous. Ran, do you think I might really be pregnant?”

”I’m not sure either, but you did seem to have some early pregnancy symptoms just now. Do you and Brother use protection?”

Lin Ruonan’s face flushed instantly, and she gently shook her head.

She and Gu Haoyu never used protection; at first, it was spontaneous, and afterward, she always sneaked back to the Guard Team, never thinking about any protection measures.

Later on, Brother clearly told her he wanted her to give him a baby, a baby for the two of them, so there was even less thought about it.

”Then it’s almost certain,” Xiao Xiao clapped her hands and said, ”Sister Ruonan, don’t worry. If you’re really pregnant, believe that Brother will spoil you to the heavens. He loves you so much; he’ll definitely love your baby too.”

With Xiao Xiao’s words, Lin Ruonan’s face turned even redder.

At the hospital, the two of them led Lin Ruonan straight to the gynecology department.

Seeing the direction, Lin Ruonan got cold feet, holding onto An Ran’s hand and refusing to take a step forward.

”Ran, how about we go back? I just suddenly lost my appetite, it’s nothing serious. I’m fine now.”

Lin Ruonan refused to move, and neither An Ran nor Xiao Xiao could really get her to budge.

An Ran crossed her arms and looked at her, ”Sister-in-law, are you too scared to see a doctor? Or are you afraid of something?”

Afraid of what? Lin Ruonan shook her head instinctively. She didn’t know what she was afraid of either, just the thought of checking if she was pregnant made her feel a bit uneasy — maybe it was just embarrassment.
