Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 1032: Chapter 1045: I Will Make Dad Acknowledge Us

”Why?” Hairong was puzzled, feeling that his mom was too strange. Previously, when they saw Dad, she wouldn’t let them acknowledge each other, and this time, at the Guard Team, even though they saw Dad, they couldn’t call him Dad. Could it be that Dad didn’t want him anymore?

He suddenly recalled the woman he saw beside Dad. ”Mom, is it because of Aunt Ran?”

Wang Xia looked at Hairong for a long time and finally nodded, ”It’s because Aunt Ran doesn’t want you to call him Dad anymore. If you keep calling him that, Aunt Ran probably won’t let you see him again.”

”Why? Why would Aunt Ran do that? Was she the one who made Dad not want us anymore?” Hairong was more mature than most kids. He already vaguely sensed that the relationship between Dad and Aunt Ran was unusual.

When he was in kindergarten, there was a little friend in his class whose dad, after liking another pretty lady, divorced his mom and left both the friend and his mom. Could it be that Dad liked Aunt Ran too and didn’t want him or Mom anymore?

”Be a good boy, Rong. Don’t worry, one day, I will make Dad acknowledge us again.” Wang Xia rubbed Hairong’s little head, comforting her son with a flood of emotions in her eyes.

The sound of knocking interrupted the mother and son’s thoughts.

Wang Xia gathered her emotions, patted Hairong’s little head, ”Hairong, no matter what, we’re going to attend school at Dad’s military area. We must be happy. Dad loves the mature Hairong the most.”

Hairong nodded, ”Don’t worry, Mom, I will make Dad like me.”

Having gotten her son’s assurance, Wang Xia went to open the door, and Jia Chenggang was already standing outside.

Seeing Wang Xia’s attire, a flicker of amazement flashed in Jia Chenggang’s eyes. He rubbed his hands and said, ”Xia, I’ve already communicated with the Guard Team’s school, let’s hurry up and go.”

”Thank you, Chenggang, for coming all this way.” Wang Xia didn’t miss the amazement in Jia Chenggang’s eyes, but her words seemed polite and distant.

”No problem at all. I’ve got a few days off right now. By the way, in a couple of days, there’s a performance at the Guard Team. Once you’ve registered, you two can stay at the Guard Team guesthouse for a couple of days and watch the performance before heading back.” Jia Chenggang said, picking up the bag on the shoebox for Wang Xia.

”Sounds good. It’s a chance for Rong to get familiar with the school environment.”

”Can Mom and I watch the Guard Team’s performance too? What kind of performances will there be?” Hearing about the performance, Hairong poked his little head out from behind Wang Xia, his big black grape-like eyes gleaming as he looked at Jia Chenggang.

Jia Chenggang felt a joy in his heart being looked at with such eager eyes. Normally Hairong was cold towards him, but this was the first time he was looked at with such hope — after all, a child is a child.

Jia Chenggang reached out to ruffle Hairong’s hair, smiling as he said, ”Of course you can. At that time, I’ll take you to see it. Although the Guard Team’s performance is self-organized by the guards and their families, it’s still very nice.”

Hairong nodded vigorously. Since it was performed by the guards, would Dad be part of it?

Thinking of this possibility, Hairong became even happier. He grabbed Wang Xia’s and Jia Chenggang’s hands, urging them, ”Let’s go quickly. I really want to see what the Guard Team is like.”

He had known since he was little that Dad was a guard, and he had fantasized countless times about what the Guard Team looked like. This time, he finally had the chance to attend school at Dad’s Guard Team and see the guards’ performance. He couldn’t wait to fly to the Guard Team.
