Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself

Chapter 693: Chapter 706: Encountering Danger

”Sister Na, please quickly find Wang Xiaoyi. I just received a distress call from her, she must be in some danger, I’m heading over right now.”

”Danger? Sister Na said, thinking An Ran wouldn’t joke about something like this, ”Alright, I’ll send people to look for her right away.”

”Thank you, Sister Na, I’ll be there in a bit.”

After hanging up, An Ran felt her hands shaking. The two experiences at the bar were still vivid in her mind.

Thinking there might be CCTV at the bar, An Ran put on her coat and rushed out.

When An Ran arrived at the bar, Sister Na and two security personnel were still in the surveillance room.

”Sister Na, have you found Wang Xiaoyi yet?”

Sister Na turned to look at An Ran, her face looking grim, ”An Ran, you’re just in time. We’ve found some footage, take a look.”

Sister Na pulled up the video, showing four men taking Wang Xiaoyi out of a private room and walking outside.

”They must have bullied Xiaoyi, I’ll call the police right now.”

Sister Na grabbed An Ran’s arm, ”Judging by the footage alone, we can’t prove these men posed any threat to Wang Xiaiyi’s safety. You know, in a place like this, it’s common for sales girls to leave with customers. Calling the police hastily won’t solve anything. Wang Xiaoyi is an adult; the police only get involved after a 24-hour disappearance.”

Sister Na’s eyes flashed; what she didn’t mention was that she had already confirmed that those men frequented Hacker Bar. On the surface, they were businessmen, but in reality, they hovered in the grey areas, backed by powerful influences. Even if you called the police, it likely wouldn’t yield results.

An Ran had spent some time in the bar, so she knew a bit of the inside workings. When Sister Na said calling the police wouldn’t solve the issue, she believed her.

An Ran took out her phone; Mu Xingfeng was unreachable due to his mission, so she dialed Lin Junyang’s number, but unsurprisingly, it was turned off.

”Sister Na, is the boss here? I need to speak with the boss.” This was An Ran’s last hope.

Sister Na directly took An Ran to see the boss.

Upon meeting Boss Ding Ke, An Ran got straight to the point, ”Boss Ding, Wang Xiaoyi met trouble at the bar, shouldn’t the bar be responsible for this?”

Sister Na had already reported Wang Xiaoyi’s situation to him. Ding Ke rubbed his hands and stood up awkwardly, ”Oh dear, my little ancestor, even the police are helpless against the people who took Wang Xiaoyi. How am I supposed to be responsible?”

After An Ran’s incident at the bar and the rumors at Nan University, Ding Ke already guessed her identity. Naturally, he didn’t want to offend An Ran, but he dared not cross those powerful forces either.

”I know Boss Ding doesn’t want to offend anyone, but Wang Xiaoyi is my best friend. Don’t you fear offending me? Regardless, Wang Xiaoyi got into trouble at the bar; the bar is still responsible.”

From Ding Ke’s attitude, An Ran already guessed he knew who was backing her. To save Xiaoyi, she had to leverage this backing.

Sure enough, Boss Ding was startled upon hearing An Ran’s words, ”Dear grandmother, can I call you grandmother? Please sympathize with my small establishment. It’s not that I don’t want to help; it’s truly out of my hands. How about this? Feel free to use my people here. Whether Wang Xiaoyi can be saved will depend on her luck.”

”Alright,” An Ran agreed, ”But I still need Boss Ding to help find out where those men took Wang Xiaoyi.”

Those men were regulars at the bar, and An Ran believed Ding Ke had his ways to find out Wang Xiaoyi’s whereabouts.
